Arsene Wenger looking at Wilfried Zaha as a replacement for the possible departure of Theo Walcott to Liverpool, but even if Walcott stays is still interested as a back up as can play wide and up top...

Believable10 Unbelievable27

If theo leaves ox will be the replacement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would have to pay too much for him. He's not exactly Premier League starting class either.

NW

Agree0 Disagree0

Id love zaha, great prospect and would be good cover considering bendtner+vela leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

Gervinho, Arshavin, Ox, Walcott, Podolski, Miyachi. We have loads of wingers until people leave so I think this is false.

According to my source in Italy, Juventus will table a £20m bid for Robin van Persie but will likely fail as they fall short of Arsenal's £30m valuation.
In other news Theo Walcott is set to be offered a new contract this week Arsenal look to sort out his future before the Asian tour.

Alex Song and Laurent Koscienly are expected to sign within the summer as they are being offered bumper deals to 2017.
RVP is set to have further talks with the Arsenal hierarchy but will not likely sign a new deal.

M'vila is likely to be unveiled soon after the deal was done today.

Arsene Wenger is set to have a close look at Iker Muniain during the Olympics as he ponders a move for the Bilbao star.

that's all for now.

aLOYALafcfan

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't mind if RVP stays for another season, gooners would be bonkers not to agree. As for Walcott, well...

Song and Kos were two outstanding players last season so if this is true then brilliant. Barca has been sniffing around both of them, reputedly

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take £20m for RVP. Snap that up straight away. Better than keeping him, getting him injured for half the season and giving him away on a free next year.

If that's true about Kos and Song, then awesome. Song has got it in him to be world class.

Not too fussed if Walcott stays or goes really, I'd quite like the money for him, but that does put a lot of pressure on Ox.

This M'Vila this has to be put to bed soon. Maybe there's a reason RVP has been taken out of the 2012/13 kit brochure and an M'Vila announcement would soften the blow for many

Agree0 Disagree0

Song and kos were OK last season. RVP was a lot better

Hi guys, have to say that Iker munian will NOT be joining arsenal, my uncle works in Spain and he said that if munian is going anywhere it will be to man united. Sorry to let you know also if he doesn't move anywhere this summer he will definatley move to either united, Malaga, Madrid or Barca.

Believable15 Unbelievable17

So working in Spain makes someone a credible source? Who knew ay? (Not that I believe he's joining.)

Za Muse

Agree0 Disagree0

If he's going anywhere it's Man U
or Malaga
or Barca
or Madrid
What about Moscow or Milan or Macclesfield?
Sorry forgot Munich
If I had a Spanish uncle as decisive as that, I would recommend him for Minister of Finance!

Agree0 Disagree0

Considering he works in close to club and he told me what he has heard.

Agree0 Disagree0

Those are 4 clubs who have all expressed an interest and spoken to Bilbao, at the moment the team most interested in him is united, but if they make a move expect the other clubs to make a move. One thing is he won't be joing arsenal. So the guy who said the is right.

Jj

Agree0 Disagree0

The most interesting thing about this post is finding out that someone does actually work in Spain.

Agree0 Disagree0

I live in Spain, and if there is anything being said by players of Athletic Bilbao, is that they are commited with staying with the claub, at least for this year. They are all happy and committed to work with Bielsa.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have no connections to Spain whatsoever and yet I know very well that Muniain is not coming to Arsenal! How about that!

RvP will be here next season unless a substantial bid comes in. Kos will sign on. Arteta will probably not get a pay rise. Ganso is all BS. M'Vila transfer was never even on. Cabaye, Santi Cazorla and Affelay are all targets. All i have for now.

Time for bed.

Agree0 Disagree0

All you have for now? Don't put yourself down. A bunch of BS is better than no BS at all. You know as much as anyone else posting here...nada.

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually think Ben is quite believable.. He did say the M'Vila deal was off well before the papers started to say we cooled our interest. Also I would love Yohann Cayabe. Him Cazorla and a new GK to challenge Szczensy would be ideal.
Also if RvP does leave id like someone like Pato. Lightening quick two good feet and a good dribbler.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sources, what his imaginary ones?

Agree0 Disagree0

I have a couple of uncles in Italy, plumbers as it happens, who both overheard the Juve board discusssing a £30m bid for RVP. But then this fit bird in a princess outfit walked past so they didn't hear the rest. They're on mushrooms a lot so it could be as true as their fire blowing dragon story

First time post on here. only discovered site couple months ago.

Old friend I use to work with at french company who now as a freelance photographer in rennes region has been telling me mvila deal is still alive even where everywhere else has said otherwise. Today I spoke to him and he has said it is now done. Although not announced it is done and they are near ready for Yanns statement. I know many are saying this now anyway, so not exactly breaking news but for any.who still doubt, please believe. It is done. Finally

Talks are in an advanced stage between Manchester City and Arsenal concerning a deal between the two taking Edin Dzeko to the emirates, with RVP going the other way but they are stuck on what sum city must pay the gunners as Arsenal don't want a straight swap and feel they deserve some compensation.

3 reliable sources from within Arsenal are confirming this.

Believable11 Unbelievable36

Cannot beleive they (arsenal) beleive Dzeko is good trade in, bloody hell surely not that stupid

Agree0 Disagree0

Aside from that I think it is pretty quiet today. I think much will depend on what happens with RvP. If he goes I think there will be a push for Negredo.}

Arsenal have reportedly signed Yann m'vila from Rennes and it is said he will be unveilled on tuesday(tomorrow). Ibrahim Affelay is also a possibility and it is said Barcelona have told Arsenal they can have the player for a cut-price of 5million.

Also Barcelona have bid Koscielny 15million but it is unlikely Arsenal would let him go with a new deal rumored to be agreed.it is reported also that Arsharvin is on his way out together with Chamakh, Squillach, Bedtner and Almunia.

And believe it or not,....Ganso want Arsenal Move.

There alot of talk that M'Vila and Affelay will sign over the next 48 hours. I would be over the moon if this turned out to be true. At the moment are transfer dealings are some serious ass strengthening. With the addition of a new CB to cover across back 4 we will have a title contending squad.

Szezsency
Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs
Mvila Song
Affelay Wilshere/Artera Podolski
Giroud

Pretty dench team with good cover.

If we fail to sign Affelay and RVP leaves we need a high profile attacking player. There are many many options.

My preferred 3 are Munain, Lewandski and Huntelaar.

COYG

Paddy

Believable14 Unbelievable15

M'vila has been 'signing in the next 48 hours' for the last three weeks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please refrain from using "dench" to describe anything Arsenal. Pure silliness, and I wanna smack Frimpong in the nose for making it up.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact you used the word "Dench" made me agree straight away.

But my honest opinion of the three players you mentioned is that:

Huntelaar would be first team and on significant wages, not over our limit but near to it, we can't be benching Giroud, and both can only really play in the CF role.

Lewandowski would be a good signing, and having Szczesny here, plus the half polish Koscielny would help him settle into a different culture, but he's going to be £20m or thereabouts, and in all honesty, I think the most expensive buy for us this window will be M'villa (if he was to join)

Munian would be insane, he'd suit our style of play, and I think he'd excell for us, my problem is that Bilbao have one of the few truly successful self sustaining models around, only employing players of basque heritage, or descent, this means that they don't really pay out huge transfer fees, and don't pay out big wages, so any sales ate almost pure profit, therefore they don't NEED the money, so the three stars that are being linked away are Iker Munian, Fernando Llorente and Javi Martinez, and I'd expect the cheapest to be Llorente at around £20-25m. Munian would be in excess of £30m.

That said, your not saying "we would/should buy" your saying you'd like those players.

If I'm honest, I'd like to see us sign Antoinne Griezman from Real sociedad, as part of the deal for Vela, add M'baye Niang as cover to our forwards and Afeely brought in for me is a no brainer!

D

Agree0 Disagree0

It's Lewandowski

Agree0 Disagree0

Dench isnt a real word you know, grow up

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree though I wouldn't be advers to having Torres up front for us ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

That is a very slow team!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lethal Bizzle made up Dench, Frimpong is just bizzle's tag along...

Still love them both though!

Agree0 Disagree0

"Serious ass strengthening"?! What?! What HAVE the team been up to that they need their collective asses strengthening?! Ashley Cole left years ago...

On SSN they are saying that Walcott's odds of joining Liverpool have now been cut to evens - personally I don't believe it.

A strange one that I heard this morning - my source is a PT who does some work with one of the Arsenal fitness coaches - Bendtner to Newcastle....not sure about this either but kind of makes sense I guess. They have not mentioned anything about M'Vila or any other players coming in so make of that what you will.

Anyway, don't shoot the messenger.

LD

Believable13 Unbelievable14

It will end the saga, at least.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good.... Gives the ox a chance...Walcott talks a good game...always has something to say....100k a week what a joke

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do we struggle to get rid of players that aren't in our starting 11? It's so frustrating. Players like Bendtner would walk into so many teams. Man Utd always manage to get rid of their "dead wood".

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to get rid of Walcott. I'd take £12m for him any day. Ox is Walcott with extra guts and more potential.

Bendtner could walk into a team like Everton, but Newcastle wouldn't have him in their 1st 11.

Agree0 Disagree0

Walcott is not leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

Theo is a Liverpool fan and Rodgers likes fast wingers for his style of play so this is a high possibility. I wud b gutted if we lost him and RVP tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course UTD do ask Berbatov.

Agree0 Disagree0

They always say s**t like this to try and get people to bet on it , as if its a sure thing , total bulls**t...

Here's a crazy thought: What about a cash plus player swap between Andy Carroll and Theo Walcott? Carroll and 7 mil Pounds for Walcott. We need another quality striker and Carroll is young, tall, English, and Premier League proven.

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy Carroll is proven useless muppet in the premier league, we don,t want other teams garbage, do we not want a winning team?

Carroll? ...a quality striker? LMAO!!

I am very good friends with jack wilshere younger brother. And apparently over a family sunday roast jack let slip of a few transfers going on at the club.

Yann m'villa will be announced this week

And there is also talk of munian and sakho coming in once the dead wood are gone.

Hope this is usefull as very reliable source.

I actually do know people close to young jack and asked them for any info.

BREAKING NEWS! Yan M'vila completes dream move to Arsenal, expected in London for Medical today July 16... Also expected is Ibrahim Afellay who arrives from Barcelona as possible replacement for Theo Walckot or Andre Arshavin. Both will be invited for final rounds of discussion today before the team departs for their Asian trip. Robin Van Persie arrives London today and is expected to make the 25man list unless both parties fail to reach an agreement in which case Van Persie will be left behind to sort out his future. The goodnesws is that M'vila and Afellay have been signed, sealed and delivered and must be with the gunners in Asia as Wenger accesses his full squad ahead of next season. On return from Asia, a 21 year old Swiss defender will join the fray .

Adewale Ajayi alias kingunner.

Believable19 Unbelievable8

What aload of pants, why isnt it on the arsenal websight then and its not all across sky sports ect about m'vila

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems quite likely looking at the rumor pages, but not yet annouced anywhere. Plus Wenger wouldn't be pressured into completing these deals just for a preseason friendly tour.

You say that M'Vila and Affelay have been invited for a final round of talks, then state that they are "signed sealed and delivered". Which they aren't if they're being invited for final talks. I reckon you've caught yourself out there as a bit of a gobs**te!

I think he meant Walcott and Arshavin would be invited for final round of talks, and depending how they wen't the other deals may come through.
