We are so much better when Santi plays as CAM; when Wilshere comes back, he should play behind Santi with Arteta. No point in putting Santi on the wing, it's a waste.

You say this yet, we didn't create anymore chances to score than we usually do with whilshere there.

Agree1 Disagree0

Wilshere would still be a huge threat playing behind Cazorla due to his pace/power - so Santi should keep the cam role I agree with you.

Agree3 Disagree0

We just need rid of Diaby, lazy & useless, Ramsey ( loan for couple years ), our back 4 have no backup from midfield, Arteta great at passing side ways, can't tackle, no pace. DM needed asap.

Agree1 Disagree1

Jack would be fine behind Cazorla if only we had a proper ball winning midfield. I still can't understand why Wenger doesn't feel the need for a Gilberto style player.

Agree1 Disagree0

Agreed Carzorla should play through the middle and before people whinge JW just behind. Reasons being is JW is a box to box player and can play very well in that position altho I believe we gain more threat when Carzorla plays through the middle, he just looks out of place and wasteed on the wing.

We need Santi and Jack to create a strong bond in the middle with Arteta (a and other) in the DM position

Don't know wht you would play Arteta, think he is not strong, fit and fast enough to hold. Me personally would play Coquelan the TANK. I think he so under-rated.

Solid 2-0 win, Swansea is by no means a easy place to go to. But we handled it quite comfortably. I was for once in total agreement with the team Wenger put out. Majority of the boys played very well. Cazorla, Monreal, Koscielny and Ox all had brilliant games. Diaby looked lost, he's half the player he could of been. Wenger has been spot on with his rotation of players over past 2 games. Shame bout sodding international break as we might be building a good streak.

This win was all that more important, as now its put a bit more pressure on Spurs going into tommorows game. Swansea was probably our second hardest game. Although Everton were very impressive today. I wouldn't rule them out just yet. By the time we play Man U they nay have already won the league and have little to play for.

Certainly have the confidence this team can win all remaining games. I'm not too bothered about finishing above Spurs, that would be a bonus. With their trip to Russia and crowded fixtures I reckon Chelsea will crumble first.

Strong links to Jovetic of Fiorentina. The lad is a top striker and let's not forget he can also play on the left.

As much as I would love him, I can't help but feel we need to strengthen midfield. Ramsey, arteta, diaby, gervinho all do not deserve to be at a club like ours. We rely heavily on Wilshere who in my opinion is injury prone.

Believable58 Unbelievable47

Wilshere is injury prone? Arteta isn't good enough? That's crazy talk. The others I agree w/, but Rosicky is great when he plays too. and Santi. We need a stronger defense and a new striker. not more midfield.

I would say we need a new defender, a commanding defensive midfielder, a veteran goalkeeper, and another striker.

Keeper: a Valdez or Julio Cesar type player, who has been at the highest level won everything there is to win. To inspire Chesney to get better.

Defender: A commanding centre back Sakho, Lescott, etc.

DM: Diaby is made of balsa wood and cannot be relied upon, whereas I do not know if Coq or Frimpong will ever be the answer. Capoue or similar.

I think Ramsey gets unfairly slated, he is young and will develop. I could see he and Wilshere being the future for our midfield.

M: As to Wilshere, I think you just need to rest him to avoid burn out, I think he was unlucky with his injuries and the way he plays (passing by players with his skill and inviting the slide tackles) probably opens up to a few knocks. I do not think he is a "Diaby-esque" player. No one urgently needed, would love a Gotze or Isco if available.

F: Giroud works hard but we need a world class player, also I do not see Theo opening that spot up - would like to see a Jovetic or similar.

Julio cesar is overrated. makes a lot of mistakes :/

Agree1 Disagree4

What a lot of people seem to forget is that Ramsey is actually pretty decent when played as a central midfielder. It's where he likes to play and his most natural fit. It's only when Wenger (rather stupidly) plays him on the wing he suffers. He looked great to day and at Munich. Give him another season in that role and he'll be consistently class.

Agree0 Disagree0

Answers to our problems.

Begovic, Valdes

Sakho, Subotic, Rami, Williams

Gonalons, Capoue, Wanyama

Isco, Gotze

Jovetic, Reus

One player for each of the above positions.

For me: Begovic, Sakho, Gonalons, Jovetic would take us to the next level

Agree2 Disagree0

Wenger would never spend that much. Your looking at the very minimum 10m per position (lets say less for your vet keeper) So atleast 35m when was the last time we spent that much?

hi ed's is there any real intrest in isco or is it all hype?

thanks Bergkamp5353

It is believed Isco has "all but agreed" to join chelsea.

Malaga had a huge tax bill on their loan to pay in March 2013, or face being excluded from European competitions next season.

They offered Isco to chelsea in Jan, but wanted to keep the player for the remainder of this season AND wanted most of the £25m up front in Jan. Chelsea said no.

That money still wouldn't have been anywhere near enough to pay off the monies owed, it is thought the owners just wanted some big money to take out of the club before they face the inevitable expulsion from Europe.

The price will still be £25m+, so I would rule out Arsenal. The Chelsea deal hinges on them getting a top 4 finish and CL football.
