don't know if you guy's know this but currently Sochaux are in relegation places and they have some good players such as Marvin Martin-8.4M-Attacking mid
Ryad Boudebouz-6.2M-Midfeilder/left winger
modibo maiga-4.5M-Forward/Winger

All are under 24 and would be willing to come.
Martin was valued around 15M- however if they get relegated then...

Do you think it would be worth going for any of them?

My question is this: all these players who we're linked with, especially the ones in rubbish teams - how do we know if they're any good 1) playing alongside good or better players or 2) playing against better opposition? 6 odd mil for a squad player then fine but I would rather we bought a dead cert than a charlie adam.

no doubt the knockers will be out after last nights debacle, but I do feel criticism is necessary. Once
Arteta had limped off, we just could not adjust. Yossi and Rosicky were brilliant again but to no avail. Song's passing was terrible, it was either too short or woefully overhit and he kept wandering when he should have remained back after we lost MA. Walcott was back to his non-existent self, he could not get past anyone or kept falling over. Ramsey runs around like a headless chicken so with Song, Walcott and Ramsey RVP had no chance of getting anywhere near a goal.Yes this is knocking the team when it was an awful display overall, but to me it is always the same ones who let us down. I just hope that performance has not cost us third place and I can understand why RVP was so angry at the end of the game. Please AW, bring in some real midfield dynamo and playmaker, once Jack is back we can then compete.

One bad game doesn't lose a squad 3rd place. There have been plenty of bad performances, but I think they'll still pull it off. Ramsey needs a loan spell but will come good. Walcott has been getting back to his best lately and had a blip.

Our tactics let us down more than the players on the pitch.

Walcott kept going inside and hiding. Ramsay looks like an old man, desperately sad but I wonder if he'll ever be the players he was.

Cabaye on Eden Hazard: "I do not know if he is in touch with Arsenal but I think it would be the right club for him."
Retweeted by Le Grove

Believable30 Unbelievable7

I just read this and was about to post and ask people's thoughts!

Curse you and your speedier response!

Anyways I'll tag along now, it's probably something of nothing, but players listen to former team mates (and money, but for arguments sake I'm going with teammates)
So he'd probably have cabaye offering us up as most suitable, Gervinho there trying to convince him, Vermaelen giving his money's worth and hopefully Vertonghen (who apparently Newcastle are scouting now) who'd along with vermaelen offer some Belgian comforts!

Now like I said its something of nothing, but it got me thinking do you guys think, and If so where, Eden hazard would fit into our team?

Saying poldi is moving to us, and he's a 26 year old German international, he's honna want first team, plus the ox needs time to play, so I wondered if maybe theo was gonna be converted to a striker? That way he'd come on as a impact player more often than not, poldi out right to cut in, hazard out left to cut in and ox wilshere playing just infront of Alex song, who'd take up a pueblo deep lying play maker role?

Now, like I said: something of nothing, suggestions, your opinions, don't come on here getting all offensive cause you know, it hurts my feelings and I get all sad.

I'm just kidding (fooled you eh?)

Nahh, say what you honestly think, but I can't stress enough, I'm not saying THIS WILL HAPPEN etc it's a what if.

Much love

Haha sorry mate, its was pot luck, I only check the twitter once or twice a day and as soon as I had signed on it was right at the top.

Were associated with any big transfer but never get them. Hazard won't be coming.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Were associated with any big transfer but never get them. Hazard won't be coming."

that's it mate, think positive anyway's...

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of hazard joining cabaye at newcastle, then there is of us getting him. Cabaye ben arfa, hazard, ba, cisse. not bad eh? {Ed002's Note - There is no chance of Hazard joining Newcastle.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Swap him for Gervinho and cash. I'd personally drive him there myself.

I would imagine man city is front of the que here - but I have a sneaky suspicion they will pull out all the stops to sign Bale.

I don't see him going to barca.

^ indeed. We dont sign big names, we make them. Well...thats fair enough, and its actually more enjoyable to see a young player unproven, come good. However, it hasnt won us a single trophy...so what do we do about it.

Jack Wilshire ruled out of Euro 2012 by ankle injury.

player will leave us just to get better health care!

Believable20 Unbelievable11

Wilshere is just unfortunate mate, our med team have kept RVP fit for an entire season! That's an achievement!

I must admit though, I wonder what our medics get up to?

I miss Gary Lewin.

All i will say about our medics is:
RVP, Rosicky, TV, Diaby and Wilshire

Don't forget the curious case of Kieran Gibbs.

Guys, Wilshere's issue is a tricky one to manage/treat...there has to be careful balance between getting him match fit and not aggravating the situation

I for one am glad he's not going, and after seeing the stunted progression of Walcott, I sincerely hope the Ox doesn't go either.

I am sick to death of people defending him. He's crap!

For the record I support Arsenal. Not Ramsey, not Henry, not Vieira, not RVP... ARSENAL!

The club will be there long after they are all gone. All I ask is to not be given headaches and a sore throat from shouting about how utterly useless some of our players are. I spent months of last season complaining about Squillaci, the seasons before Almunia and Bendtner, before that Senderos and Cygan etc etc. I'm not a complainer but NONE of those players should be at a club like Arsenal for that long. Perennial failures overstaying their welcome has dragged the club from the top to the middle.

Has anyone ever defended any of them the way people do Ramsey?

I am not obligated to him nor am I obligated to have sympathy for an injury received 2 seasons ago nor am I going to cry myself to sleep over his heartbreak concerning Gary Speed as Ike seems to think we who slate him should (as awful as it is)

Jesus! I want what's best for Arsenal NOT RAMSEY!

PS. AW needs to stop fathering these players, its criminal. He's an honourable man and I'll always love that about him but he has to put the club and fans first, not players feelings.

StEvE {Ed025's Note - you say your not a complainer steve...you could have fooled me mate!..

Believable26 Unbelievable25

Totally agree and gervinho is utter garbage aswell looks just like arshavin on the ball

Agree0 Disagree0

I couldn't agree more. I used to be a Ramsey fan when he dictated play and actually looked like a playmaker. He is just so slow, never ever plays a killer ball, can't shoot. That injury ruined him. People can defend him saying he is only 21 and will develop, but Sergio Aguero is only 23, Mario Goetze is what? 19? Eden Hazard is 21, Christian Erikesen is only 20. These are all class players, completely out of Ramseys league. Can you honestly say he would get in United's, City's, Chelsea's or Spuds first team? Simply - Ramsey is not good enough for Arsenal.

Brilliant post.
Ramsey is poor full stop.

Agree lets get rid of all the crap and lets give the youth system the chance they deserve and START BUYING QUALITY

Agree0 Disagree0

Yet another whingeing Arsenal fan. You'd do better if you're fans got behind the team rather than slating everybody every two minutes! The worst supporters in the league. You seem to just expect success. The premiership is a hugely competitive league and you're in THIRD place, Champions League qualification looking fairly certain. Pathetic.

Agree0 Disagree0

I never understood Wenger's persistance with him(Aaron) - He is not the Business PERIOD / Its time others had a go in midfield. Gev never recovered from a Pen miss in the AFCON Final, Theo not the best but you would say he's outdone them both.

PretoriaGooner

Agree0 Disagree0

The original poster, absolutely spot on. Its a fan's right to be able to critique or praise any player/coach he wishes 2 - and Aaron ramsey and others, are well worth the criticism they are getting at the moment. However, its not their fault, its Arsene Wengers, because he is the one playing them in matches they are not good enough to play in. Its his fault they are being selected because there isnt anyone else to play. The buck stops with him.

Agree0 Disagree0

After 7 years without a trophy I feel that the fans should be allowed to have their say. Last night, we were 0-2 down and down to 10 men. Surely the sensible thing to do would be to bring on the Ox, but what does he do, bring on an out of form midfielder who has the fans on his back (unfairly)? He then makes another howler by taking off Yossi who was having a good game and bringing on Gervinho, who is awful and more concerned with his hairband. The Ox finally gets his chance when it is too late. To make matters worse, he embarasses himself by yelling about wasted time when the truth is we are just not good enough and sadly the buck stops with the manager who picks the team. We have lost to QPR, Wigan and Blackburn this season and drawn with Bolton. We have conceded 8 in a match for the first time in a Premiership match and surrendered healthly leads against lesser clubs. How can it be disputed that it is time for Wenger to go? To me it should be a simple decision - enough is enough!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, the substitutions were atrocious. Gervinho and Ramsey.. come on Prof.

Ash

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, ramsey is overated, he walks around pitch thinking he is ten times better than he is. he doesn't tackle, gives ball away far too much and has no work ethic. why does arsene stick with him, ferguson wouldn't, anyone remember kleberson or liam miller

Agree0 Disagree0

Go and support Man City. I guess they will gladly buy anybody you want.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger is the best signing arsenal have ever made HE brought all these quality players, look at all the other teams around us over spending and in massive debts. He is the reason arsenal have been able to move to the emirates and have all these young quality players. I agree the subs were strange but we are third with a thin
Squad I would argue the weakest in the top 8 in depth. He has never failed to deliver for me and I would be interested to hear who people would like to replace him. I bet they won't be as successful as Wenger.

Vela (£4m)
Chamakh (£4m)
Park (£3m)
Bendtner (£4m)

Bring back loanees Mannone, Bartley, Frimpong, Lansbury, Campbell and Miyaichi to keep the squad super competitive, and if they aren't getting game time then loan them out in January.

Get the dead wood off the wage bill. I would find it hard to imagine that Bartley, Miyaichi or Campbell could do any worse than Squillaci, Arshavin or Chamakh have done in the last year or so.

Arsenal could get VERTOGHEN, REMY, PODOLSKI and BENAYOUN for around £40m, and potentially generate around £20-25m through sales.

This low total spend is the way Wenger seems to do it.

A relatively small spend on three quality established international players (all between 24 and 26) plus Benayoun is a good player to grab on the cheap.

Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Song, Van Persie, Arteta and Walcott are all seasoned premiership performers now.

Add quality young players like Szczesny, Wilshire, Ramsey and Oxlade-Chamberlain into the mix and Arsenal should have a very good side over the next fews years.

Believable4 Unbelievable26

Remy was most likely to join spuds, but a few days ago he stated that he will be at marseille next year.

If you've noticed, theo has been drifting in as a second striker in the games, I think wenger is planning to use him up top next season, even if I'm off the mark, we'll only buy one striker, that'll leave us with
RVP, Walcott, poldi (he's basically signed so I'll count him!), Campbell and I'm guessing one of bendtner or vela

D

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody will pay for Chamakh, Park, Denilson or Almunia - we should be paying any club to take them off our hands! Nor would Vertonghen sign to be a bench player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chamakh, Denilson, Park etc would still command fees IMO, but if not then give them free transfers.

Remy is similar to Walcott in that he can play right wing or centre forward, but signing someone like Remy would strengthen Arsenal's attacking options.

Vertonghen can play centre half, full back or in midfield. He would probably end up playing 30-40 games over a full season.

Look at how many games someone like Djorou actually plays.

Pro footballers go to a club convinced that they can break into the first team. No big club is going to guarantee Vertonghen a starting place.

Agree0 Disagree0

FACT.. half the crap you list are wenger's love childs. so he will not get rid of them :)

I was at the Wigan game and I think we have to go 3-4-3 next year. With a basically s**t team they murdered us and have also done United and Chelsea. With our technically more gifted players we could take teams to the cleaners next year using that formation and tactics.

Also Djourou was alright, not great but not totally s**t.

GoonerDan

Believable8 Unbelievable9

I have never liked Wengers formation, since we won the F A Cup, way back in 2005. The current formation fails to provoide adequate cover for the back four & rarely allows the defensive security of doubling up on players, leaving our defenders continually one on one with the opponents forwards. For Saturday 4-4-1-1
Szczesny
Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs
Walcott Song Ramsey Santos
Rosicky

Sorry but Djourou is not alright at fault for 2nd goal does not know what goal side means.

Apparently Newcastle are also in for Vertonghen. I hope we offer that bit more to land him. We should hopefully be offering him Champs League football but can we offer him a regular starting place like Newcastle would?

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Our main advantage is that he's already stated he'd like to join arsenal.
And it seems we've been chatting to de boer for a while now.

D

Agree0 Disagree0

I completely agree. We have a good back four in Vermaelen, koscielny, Gibbs and Sagna. So he would not be first choice, if he is willing to replace Djourou as third choice. I highly doubt it though.

In Arsene I Trust.
