Eds, given the Cazorla to Athletico rumours, let's say he does leave, do you think we would promote from within? With the OX getting more game time? Or even a shock move from the youth team like Beckham, zelalem, crowley?

Or my more hopeful option, we buy a new exiting attacking mid, like De Bruyne? I've seen some rumours, and only rumours about us being interested, and knowing us, I'm sure we have scouted him in the past or present!

Any idea what will happen Eds? Thanks in advance

{Ed001's Note - difficult to say this far in advance but I would not expect De Bruyne, Wolfsburg do not need to sell. They are in fact looking to go further in Europe.

The club are hedging its bets, checking out attacking midfielders and forwards, while leading some of the younger players to believe they will get a chance to fill the role. So it is not clear. I would expect that Wenger would prefer to go with young talent, and spend his money on the more deep lying midfield areas, or possibly a top striker, rather than replacing Cazorla, but he can't be sure the options at the club are enough.}

Sounds good ed, thanks for the quick and detailed reply! Just a follow up question, given your responce about using Cazorlas cash (however much it may be, I'd be expecting £25m more or less) is there any clear targets for the deep lying midfeild or top striker?

{Ed001's Note - not for the striker, but players such as Veratti are under consideration. He would be the preferred target, if possible. Not sure it will be possible though myself, long way to go until the summer though.}

It would be a shame and a great loss but he has been a fantastic servant and now he doesn't owe the club anything. If he wishes to end his career back home then I can appreciate that.

Akie, I think Zelalem will definitely be featuring one day since Wenger is a great fan of him, he just needs to work on his physique a bit I think, as he looks like skin and bones and it seems Crowley is another great prospect too. So yeah, I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if Arsene gives some youth a chance.

Out of interest eds could anyone shed any light on likely departures in the summer based on current evidence? Obviously players won't move on if replacements aren't identified, but we have been reportedly linked with most of Europe and the "wage bill" is already high in Ffp eyes.

poldi and Joel campbell are surely nailed on exits? If anyone will take them.

{Ed001's Note - as well as that Cazorla is a possibility, and a few of the fringe youth players, which makes more of a difference at Arsenal than other clubs. For some reason I don't understand Arsenal pay the highest wages to the young and fringe players and have done since Wenger arrived. The high earners are never overpaid at all, but the fringe ones have always bumped up the wage bill by being paid at a higher rate than equivalents at other Premier League clubs. Basically the ones out on loan are all available for transfer and it is expected a number of them will leave.}

thats our main problem i feel ed, it makes them so hard to move on because no ones going to match their wages and so we are stuck with them and can't replace them
