Afternoon ladies and gents!

Another small update.

Draxler saw a medical specialist the other day, name escapes me, but it's a doctor regularly used by Bayern and the German national team.

He's been officially ruled out now till feburary.
As long as there's no set backs, and there's no reason there should be, he'll be fighting fit!

Wether the fact he's currently injured would have any effect on a deal is unknown.

What is seeming more likely is we're currently chatting up Draxler - above board - with looks to agreeing a deal now to sign him in the summer.

From what I can gather, we'd like to sign him now and the player is set on a move to Arsenal, but if we want him now, we have to pay the £37.5m release.

In the summer, Schalke will be more willing to negotiate.

There's still a real possibility of him joining in this winter window, but it's now looking more toward summer.

Wether we'll make any signings this window isn't known.

But I'm sure Wenger has it planned!

Peace.

There is NO possibility of him joining this window.

Sorry but you are clearly deluded and have no idea about Arsene's views on the January window.

Arsenal are top of the league and we are half way through the season . We only have Walcott missing Wenger does not see a need for a signing

Agree1 Disagree1

1. The clause only becomes valid in the summer
2. According to the editors on this site the clauses aren't applicable across countries anyway (although I think they're wrong about that. )

If we do sign him it'll be in the summer, but by then I think a different target would have become available.

Rule 1 of a transfer window: don't read twitter
Rule 2 of a transfer window: don't read twitter

I agree with you, but if Draxler comes, it will be in the summer

I have it on good authority that Draxler will join us during the current window.

Ed in your honest opinion do you believe that arsenal will bring in a new attacking player? and has the interest in Pato stopped? the squad has done wonders over the last 12 months, however the loss of walcott is massive and even more so when things get serious at then end of the season. Ox and serg are good players but not going to create and score as many as walcott would have. we need someone who can perform now i'd we are seriously going to push for the EPL. I won't mention Draxler as you have said you think in the summer, But what a addition that will/would be.

{Ed002's Note - They would like to but interest of Arsenal in Pato seems speculative.}

Alright ed, is there any truth in this levy is trying to block our move for draxler with holtby? Chance then we could try and sign him this window? Seen he starts training again next week so a possibility? I think wele have it wrapped up before World Cup if he don't move now. Cheers

{Ed002's Note - (a) Try the Conspiracy page. (b) The summer remains much more likely in my view.}

Whilst I may not possess the contacts and other aid of the Ed's, I'm confident in telling you that Holtby and Draxler are unrelated.
It's just the papers trying to stir up nonsense.

Schalke want Holtby back as strength in depth.
He's a fan favourite at the club and would be welcomed back there.

Sidney Sam is the option for Schalke out on the left if Draxler does leave.

It's just the papers hoping our fans and fans of them down the road will pick up the paper in outrage/joy at the problems they are causing one another.

If Draxler joins this month, Holtby will have no affect on it.

It looks like if we want him we will have to activate his release clause so spurs giving them holtby wouldn't matter at all
