Arsenal and Cesc. well it's complicated and this will run right up to Sept 1

Barca still not made their mind up about him, and in return want Kos.

Higuain is done. Rooney possibly.

Believable44 Unbelievable87

No I for one don't want Koscienly to join Barca or Bayern at all he is our inform defender and a classy player. We must use the money they owe us from Fab's sale to negotiate him rejoining us not give them our most coveted CB.

Hope I can and all other gunners want to believe this.

Totally agree. Time to tell Barca that our days as their feeder club are over. No more players whatever the circs even if that means running contracts down to zero. Get money owed by them as a matter of priority. Their business ethics stink. I would rather we told Barca to stuff trying to unload Fabregas than let them start their unsettling tactics on Kos.
Wenger has to realise that allowing such a transfer could be the one to finally break their fans' hearts.

I for one believe that cesc could come back without koss going the other way, they owe us money for the transfers of song and cesc still, and I do believe that the higuain deal will go though and that if the intrest in Rooney is as strong as it seems to be I think he could also join if we are willing to pay his wages as I don't see him going abroad

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly If we sign higuian, why would rooney come and play at arsenal the only reason he wants to leave is for a cf role we have giroud and hopefully higuian so he would have the same chance at arsenal if getting that role. Secondly kos is not going anywhere its nonsense, all this has come from his agent saying that "kos is on bayern e and barcas short list of players" probably trying to get a pay rise for kos though let's not forget kos signed an extension not long ago so he is contracted down till 2017! Most likely if any centre back is to go it may be vermaelen as he only has 2 years left if I'm not mistaken

Agree1 Disagree0

Benjamin gunner above post

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabregas isn't leaving Barca. End of.

Agree2 Disagree0

Wrong.

Cesc is almost nailed on.

Higuain is being gun-jumped by media.

Rooney is done.

Agree0 Disagree3

If someone could give any evidence for any of their outrageously confident claims, it would be most welcome.

Agree1 Disagree0

Do we need Cesc??
he could end up sitting on our bench
you cannot drop Santi or Jack and for me I want to see the Ox given his chance to shine next year just like Cesc was given his chance 6yrs ago and if the Felliani rumours are true (odds 8/11 to come to afc) then we there is no need to sign him.
Also I little bit of me says he has already jumped ship and we have moved on.

Agree1 Disagree0

Cesc is better than ALL of the players you named, if he came he would go straight into the team. WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone keeps mentioning about various midfielders possibly coming and who we already have but I have not seen tomas rosicky' name mentioned once. For the last two seasons he has returned from injury towards the end of the season and has made arsenal almost unstoppable with his quality and will power if we keep him fit for the season the spurs will get nowhere near us next season!

Agree1 Disagree0

"Cesc is better than ALL of the players you named, if he came he would go straight into the team. WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT"

maybe or maybe not
Santi is very close
Jack is very close and will be better
The Ox could be the best of the lot
the point is these guys want to play for AFC and have no other 'DNA'
oh and let's not forget Rosicky who without his injuries is as good as Cesc

Agree0 Disagree0

A Rooney deal isn't 'done' and won't be ever. Cesc will remain at Barca' unless they decide to sell him, Higuain is Wenger's priority signing and looking more and more likely.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Wrong.
Cesc is almost nailed on.
Higuain is being gun-jumped by media.
Rooney is done. "

This is ridiculous. If any of those 3 are signing it'll be Higuain.

People need to take their Cesc tinted glasses off. Yes he is a very good player, but we do not need him. We need a defensive midfielder and a goal scorer. A goalkeeper would be nice too.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Jack is very close and will be better" - doubt it
The Ox could be the best of the lot - doubly doubt it

Agree0 Disagree0

Please don't start undervaluing the ability and talents of Cesc Fabregas just because he left Arsenal. When he was on form in the Prem who was better? He had the most passes and assists and he got goals. Do you remember when Arsenal were down 1-0 Cesc came on injured scored one and set up the other and came of in about 20 minutes. He is world class. Barcelona were begging for him, he has won nearly everything as a player, and please tell me you saw his pass against Uruguay, pure class. He was Arsenal's best player and keeps Cazorla out of the squad for Spain. He is world class, Wilshere just needs to add some goals and more assists to his game to be more complete like Cesc but Wilshere is not yet world class but will most definitely be.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Jack is very close and will be better" - doubt it
The Ox could be the best of the lot - doubly doubt it"

My point about Cesc is that he is worldclass because at a young age he was given the opportunity and as a 20yr season ticket holder I see a similar path and ability with both Jack and The Ox and would much prefer these guys (jack and ox) to be the main stay of Arsenal.
oh and one last point for you to believe Jack won't be as good as Cesc would lead me to believe you are a poor judge of football talent (could be a job at Newcastle as Director of Football for you)

Word on the street is that Arsenal have bid for Matej Vydra.

Sydney!

Believable9 Unbelievable112

Which one of those Sesame monsters told you this? Was it the big talking bird? Or the cookie addict?

Lwi

Agree2 Disagree0

What street is that then? silly street? not true

Agree0 Disagree0

It was fulham

Agree0 Disagree0

If there are words on the street then that is graffiti and you should report it to your local authorities at once.

I bet it was those good-for-nothing teenagers. Things ain't what they used to be.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did Malaga tell you that?

Londongooner

Agree1 Disagree0

Sesame Street presumably?

Agree0 Disagree0

Although I really doubt it's arsenal who made it, vydra's club have confirmed they turned down an 8m bid from an unnamed premier league club. My betting would be someone mid table though

Agree0 Disagree0

If only.

Great prospect.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have enough "great prospects". We need to sign some finished products in order to move forward.

well udinese rejected an 8m bid from an unnamed premier league club, so it could be us.

Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that Juve are losing interest in Gonzalo Higuian.

Believable89 Unbelievable22

17 Jun 2013 11:43:50
That will keep the price lower. two bidders push the price up. Just hope someone like PSG don't come in the last minute and blow us out the water. I feel confident this one will happen. Think this leopard might change its sports finally. Km

Agree2 Disagree0

Higuain
Cesar
Fellani

All agreed deals to join Arsenal. Come - preseason you will see them in Arsenal shirts. Guaranteed.

Agree6 Disagree1

I can guarantee none of those will happen by pre season

Agree3 Disagree2

17 Jun 2013 15:59:35
@lakerville, how can you guarantee that none of them will be arsenal players? I believe they will and cannot wait until doubters are proved wrong

Agree2 Disagree2

We are now in pole position according to betting odds. Still not getting over-excited though, learned my lesson from Mata saga.

Oleg Maputo

Agree1 Disagree1

If Juve have now withdrawn and there is no other known bidder, Wenger should put a 3 day closure on current bid or even consider reducing it. Real have known Ancelotti was taking over for weeks. How do we have to wait until he takes up the post. They could phone him. It's time clubs with cash on the hip started playing hardball with Barca and Real. Remember we are trying to buy a player they deem surplus to requirements. They try every dubious tactic in the book when trying to buy a player, witness Fabregas and now Bale.
Tell them the offer is 25m euros tomorrow and reduces by 1m per day until bid either accepted or rejected.

Agree1 Disagree2

They are interested in Carlos tevez

Agree0 Disagree0

And hazard! But do think times are changing and can see the 3 in the Red of arsenal next season

Agree2 Disagree0

Lakerville can't guarantee nothing he is just another negative supposed Arsenal fan, some fans on theses types of blog sites don't want Higuain, Fabregas, Fellani Cesar even it like they would rather Arsenal fail so they can say they were right.

Lakerville I hope you come back on this site on Sep 1st and admit you we're terribly wrong and apologise for your unnecessary negativism.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2013 19:47:45
who ever that nameless reply to lakerville is, do you know what a pre-season is? or when it is?

Laker said they won't be done BY the pre-season.

pre-season training starts nxt month mate

we can have deals in place and signed before then, they just won't go through until the 1st

Agree0 Disagree0

He said none will be done by preseason and that's probably got something to do with the news Arsenal having important staff away on holidays until preseason starts back. But Real Madrid are due to appoint Ancelotti in a matter of days which will allow a decision on Higuain's deal to us and then that will disprove his statement.

And I wrote the comment up there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate, a little miff'd atm is all, you still didn't leave your name :)
. lest it be oleg maputo?
in which case sign up!

my reply was directly to the post above mine.

laker seems fairly informed and I don't doubt his love for arsenal.

now on your side of things, you've used a double negative in your first sentence.
hes a realist not a pessimist imho

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of sources confirming Arsenal have agreed a deal with Higuain but as to when the signings will be made I don't think anyone can be sure on that, not with Arsenal anyway but I read some news about players not officially signing for us until end of June or July sometime but Madrid could be appointing Ancelotti soon only time will tell about these signings I say.

Josh09

Agree0 Disagree0

Obviously it was sarcasm people.

i wish to be wrong every day of my life when it is arsenal.

No way are we getting messi. but if he comes. go ahead slap me 5 million times for being wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

First of all GoonerInk Lakerville's statement showed no inside knowledge at all it was a sarcastic statement. I merely wanted to dismiss the fact that nobody can predetermine when Arsenal make a signing or not because they can fall through at any minute or be sealed at the last minute.

Also, why would a team not try everything in their power to secure their targets before pre-season so that they're squad and new additions can start it together as a team instead of having new players come in during pre-season?

Secondly this is a Arsenal fan forum why are you being so pedantic about grammar when it has nothing to do with the real reason you are here. Also if you want to judge someone please make sure you maintain perfect grammar at all times from now on. Full stops, capital letters the whole lot!

Lastly Lakerville sorry mate about my initial leaving comments misunderstood where you was coming from.

Agree0 Disagree0

None taken. such is life. everyone can have a free swing.

Not a rumour at all, but just wanted some info from anyone itk or any eds. is there any interest in remy cabella? I think he was one of the best players we played against last season. {Ed029's Note - Ed02 posted this on another page - Cabella continues to interest from a number of clubs including Arsenal, Montpelier, Atalanta, Dortmund and Sampdoria.}
