OK, here goes my 1st ever post.

I'm fortunate to work at heathrow airport and see alot of "A" listers arriving and leaving.

So, today being the 17th May 2012 a certain "Karim Benzema" of Real Madrid was leaving from Terminal 3.

He was grabbing a bite in pret of all places and I took the plunge and ask what he was doing over here?

To my utter amazement he replied "I was over here to see Arsene Wenger", you could have knocked me over with a feather.

I did'nt know if you laugh or cry. . . .

Arsenal need more English players and more experience in their squad. This is unlikely to happen under Wenger. He also likes to balance the books, therefore with this in mind, this is what I'd like to see happen at Arsenal over the course of the summer, although given Arsene's previous transfer reckon, it's likely to be less drastic.

Ins
Gary Cahill (£15m)
Christopher Samba (£7m)
Scott Parker (£6m)
Eden Hazard (£18m)
Karim Benzema (£25m)
Alex Oxade-Chamberlain (£9m)

Total: £60m (Arsenal will probably have £30m to spend, the rest will be funded by sales).

Outs
Fabregas (£35m)
Clichy (£10m)
Arshavin (£8m)
Alumina (£2m)
Squallici (£1m)
Denilson (£4m)
Rosicky (£4m)
Eboue (£3m)
Bendtner (£8m)

Total: £65m

Szczesny

Sagna Cahill Vermaelen Gibbs

Nasri Wilshere Parker Hazard

V. Persie Benzema

Subs: Fabianski, Djourou, Koscielny, Song, Chamakh, Walcott, Miyaichi, Ramsey, Samba, Oxade-Chamberlain, Traore, Frimpong, Emmanuel-Thomas, Vela, Eastmond, Lansbury

Now that is a great team with strength and depth, that will challenge for trophies. Sell Fabregas, he doesn't want to be at Arsenal anymore, if Arsenal can get £35m they should definitely cash in.

JG - It will be Cahill or Samba not both otherwise we will have 5 CB's! you only need 4

Im A Newcastle Fan and I Know im not in a postion to talk about owners or policies BUT do you Arsenal lot really think your gonna be splashing 25 Mill Plus on individual players? I personally believe Wenger will stick to his policy and keep producing young talent and selling them of for expensive prices. ( What you think!?)

ive been a arsenal season ticket holder since the age of six, and can see a major clearout at arsenal next season. a bloke behind who sits at arsenal's son works for the administration team at arsenal.

hes clarified that gary cahill to arsenal is a done deal, and players such as fabregas, clichy, eboue, denilson, diaby, fabianski, alumunia, rosicky and bendtner are all going.

i don't want arsene wenger to part company with arsenal as he has had a fantastic career with us, however i am coming impatient with him. he is trying to do with arsenal what he did with monico. at his first few seasons at monico he won trophies, then the net few seasons he didn't and tried to promote youth, but it failed miseerably and he was sacked? sound familiar?

ed what players do you see coming to arsenal in the summer? {Ed002's Note - Sorry, I cannot speculate. I am not an expert on Arsenal and know only what I get to see about "confirmed" interest in players. I will try and give comments on individual players but I don't want to mislead you with guesses.}

Ed do you think willian could join arsenal?thanks {Ed002's Note - There is a chance. Both Arsenal and Chelsea are interested. In my view he gives little if anything more than Kakuta and not as much as Payet. May be one for the future but I would worry if he was too expensive.}

"I've got no problem with people saying they wouldn't mind Wenger going, I myself have said I think there are others who can do a better job atm, but I h***ing detest the way some people are treating him now. The guy is doing everything he thinks is right for the club, he's made the club what it is and without him we'd just be another average side, he's consistently showed the kind of passion and dedication to the club that is all can be asked but he's also delivered so much more on top of that. Whether you think he should move on or not, any Arsenal fan should love and respect the man for what he has done, rather than make some of the ridiculous comments I've seen (including on here) over the past few days, it's just shameful tbh."

This is true. As if coming third is the worst thing in the world. Glory hunting fans!

First time poster, but i think that fabregas will stay, remember at the start of the season when he said he will only move after he has won a cup with arsenal. but it looked like we were gonna win the carling cup but that didn't happen so he may well stay.

One centre back will be signed. odds on favourite is Samba. he has the physical presence, arial threat and premier league experience behind him as well as a previous attempt by Arsenal to sign him back in January. he is the monster Arsenal need in defence.

Squillaci is out. pushing an out of form Song back into defence and taking Squallaci off at half time on Sunday against Villa said it all really.

Fabregas is staying. such a big deal has been made about his long contract that Wenger won't go back on his word.

Nasri will sign a new contract in the summer. Wenger said it will be sorted at the end of the season so why people are saying he is leaving because he has not signed a new contract is beyond me??? exact same circumstances for Clichy.

Rosicky to play to the end of his contract. end of 2011/ 2012 season.

Denilson to go out on loan to prove himself. will fail miserably and be sold next summer.

Vela will be sold due to not reaching his full potential.

Hazard coming in to replace walcott on the wings. walcott moving upfront next season with van persie playing behind him on the right. expect to see Arshavin stay also but be given a more central role due to him not having the required pace to beat opposition full backs anymore. many call for him to be sold but I just can't see Wenger selling him.

Bendtner is off due to Wenger not being able to promise him first team football. Chamakh will be given another season as he was still adapting to the prem and put in a promising performance against Villa.

Wellington to go out on loan to newly promoted QPR.

Diaby going nowhere and neither is utility man Eboue.

Players promoted to the first team: Lansbury, Frimpong, Miyaichi and Jay Emmanuelle-Thomas.

No Scott Parker. he's off to Spurs. Cahill to Man City. Benzema staying at Madrid. Sakho staying at PSG. Vertonghen moving on but no idea where, same as Melo. Lukaku to Chelsea.

a marque surprise signing will come in that no one has a clue about guaranteed. a player that has never been linked with us and is signed in typical Arsenal fashion and hidden from the media. no point us guessing or relying on links created by the media to sell a story

Realistic happenings for next season:
1.Fabregas valued at 45 mil by Arsenal, Barca not budging over 30mil, Bojan and Afellay valued at 10-15 mil by Barca
Expect Fabregas to leave for 30mil+ EITHER of the 2 players.
2.40 mil avaliable in transfer kitty:will be used ONLY to sign a single Defender, my hunch is Jagielka(English, clever and good in the air, can also play as RB and CDM).If everton ask more than 20 mil then, Wenger MIGHT be tempted to bring in Cahill.(although Jags is tne better choice)
3.Denilson, Squillaci, Eboue, Bendtner, Rosicky, Almunia sold.Money in those transfers used to enhance contracts of Clichy and Nasri and wage structure.
4.Lansbury, Frimpong, Bartley promoted.Vela, Diaby and Arshavin given one more season.Miyaichi will be available only if permit situation is sorted out.
5.JET and Miquel will be loaned out to an EPL team(JET in more need of that.)
6.Vermaelen made captain, Pat rice will stay, Lehmann wil possibly be mentor to Szczesny.Walcott will probably play in the centre.(I am dreaming of Viera as mental conditioning coach :D)
final squad for 2011-2012 season:
Szczesny
Sagna- - -Jagielka- - -Verm(c)- - Clichy
Wilshere- - Song
Nasri- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Afellay
RVP- - Walcott
(In case of Bojan instead of Afellay. .Walcott plays in the wings and Bojan upfront)
Subs: fabianski, Gibbs, Kozzer, Djorou, Rambo, Frimpong, Lansbury, Arshavin, Vela, Chamakh
3rd choice: Mannone, Jenkinson, Diaby, Bartley, Miyaichi, Henderson

(Ed, what is the possiblity of this happening and will this team win a title? . .My hunch is they will if they concentrate ONLY on 2 titles in the season including EPL.What do you think??) {Ed002's Note - I never comment on teams and the chances of it all happening are pretty slim. I am also not an expert on the ins and outs at Arsenal, but many here are and it is their opinion you should be seeking.}

Coming in will be premier league players, maybe not the glamourous players we all crave but who wants to sign for a club that don't win trophies??

Uhm, liverpool doesn't win any trophies. Suarez, Carrol and many other players want to come to them.
Man city had not won a trophy for 35 years. Players like Yaya, Tevez and Silva did come to them. If a club has a big name and money then players will come.
But we know the board and wenger and they all need to go. We have loads of money but wenger won't spend it.

P.S. A mate, who works in the dutch media, has told me that we are very close on Payet. A winger from Saint - Ettiene. ED did you hear something about Payet? Because it sounds like typical arsenal signing. Although, he has better statts then hazard.
And ED, what are the chances of arsenal getting Hazard? And do you think that something will change in Arsenal this summer? {Ed002's Note - Payet would be a great buy but the player will more than likely end up at PSG or Liverpool. If Arsenal are interested it has passed everone by. Hazard could possibly move to Arsenal. He signed a new contract with Lille and if he cannot get a move that suits him (Barcelona and Real Madrid were his preference) then he could stay and play in the Champions League next year. Juventus are very keen but cannot offer football at the highest level right now. Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus, Real Madrid, Spurs and Barcelona have shown interest or admiration for the player. I would not be surprised to see Manchester United throw their hat in to the ring as well. If he does move and I was pushed for an answer, I think he could end up in Italy, possibly at Inter.}

Can't believe Djourou is not featuring anywhere in peopes teams, same with Song two great players and we have only lost 2 games with the Swiss CB playing.

Anyway I can see Samba being signed and Squillaci being let go. This would be an ideal buy as Samba may understand that sometimes he would not be first choice in an Arsenal side meaning Koscielny and Miquel can be blooded properly. I already think Djourou has proved himself at the highest level.

I don't see it going through but I would like Scott Parker as he would not cost much, he would provide competition for Song and he is a true leader.

Finally a lot of talk of Benzema has not been shot down. So i'm hoping for those 3 and a change back to our 4-4-2 system with RVP linking the midfield and Benzema.

We just have to pray we don't lose Clichy and Nasri along with Fabregas.

Arsenal are ready to beat off competition from Manchester United, Chelsea and Aston Villa to sign 16-year-old Barcelona striker Hector Bellerin.

Bellerin has been at Barca for eight years but has rejected a contract, and that has opened the door for Arsenal to sign him up this summer - although they will have to pay around £400,000 in compensation under FIFA rules.

Has anybody read Fabregas comment on Arsenal site yesterday ? He said " We understand how much the fans have suffered through our not winning trophies for a few years, but we will make sure this changes "

If he stays, and he may well do if Barcaain't got the required cash, then we realistically need 2 / 3 players

1. An experienced CB who can organise the defence . . . with a Tony Adams like organiser you would see Clichy learn how to defend and also see Schez blossom with the confidence it brings

2. An experienced organiser / ball winner in midfield to challenge Song ( who by the way can also cover for CB.

3. Either by a winger to release Walcott to a more anvanced position or by an outright attacker.

4. We do need an assistant manager who is at least interested in organising the defence . . . its shocking to believe that Rice himself was a defender and he allows this mayhem to continue.

IN;
Organiser in defence ; Lugano/ Mexes/ Jag/ Verthongen
Organiser in midfield ; Parker/ Toulalon/ Gago/ Velosa
Attacker ; Take your pick !
Assistant ; Tony Adams / Steve Bould

OUT ;
Almunia
Squilacci
Denilson
Bendtner or Vela ( not both as you still need squad for cups and its a long season ).

3 experienced players are important but a new assistant who can impress the old Arsenal values on Wenger is also vital. There is simply no way that somebody like Adams would watch this soft defending without having a discreet word with Wenger & then absolutely h*****g the players over it.

When Wenger told the players they were not fit to wear the Arsenal shirt ( last year against Liverpool ) we all saw how they responded . . . . Just imagine the impact of having this beaten into them everyday on the training ground ?

The right assistant plus three correct signings and we will be very, very close.

What you think ed ?
What you think ed ? {Ed002's Note - I think a new spine and a wide player is required.}
