Arsenal fans, you deserve better than these very poor results. Do the right thing Wenger, let someone else have a crack at it, your years of saying the team are growing as reasons for not winning silverware has run it course.

David Moyes?
could he do a good job and take us forward?

Oh i am sick of all the stick wenger is getting. It is clearly the board not coughing up. While beny and arteta are good players do you think they were wenger's 1st choice. He like any other manager will tell the board what players he wants then they take over. I think we got the last resort players on the bottom of arsen's list because of tight fisted c****

Last poster. If you really follow arsenal why not try keeping up with news from the AST. Perhaps then you'll understand that the board have nothing to do with the wages or transfers. Wenger is solely responsible

Agree0 Disagree0

Ancelotti is available

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't care what AST says because 15 years experience of Wenger being in charge tells me that he will push hard and take risks to get the players he believes will be a benefit to the team (remember Reyes!). So either he doesn't feel that we needed to splash out on bigger named signings this summer or he's not getting the board's backing which I think is much more likely. I'm not holding out for a hero, I'm holding out for Usmanov.

Agree0 Disagree0

You answered your own question. Because he believes the team is good enough. It took a spanking by united to prove to him otherwise.

Agree0 Disagree0

I honestly don't know what Wenger will / needs to do to turn the side around atm. Is it just confidence? Is it the players need more time to settle? Do we need another defender who will take charge? Is van Persie really the best choice for captain?

I do feel we should start playing van Persie just off Chamakh upfront as we saw in the last part of the game today.

We really don't look like were concentrating especially in defense! Them own goals today, if that was Manu / Chelsea you'd see the ball being fort for and cleared.

Hmm it's hard times for arsenal atm. I feel January signings are a must. If you look at our games so far we've only managed one win which was handed on a plate.

Worried gooner with lots of faith

Agree0 Disagree0

Its nothing to do with the board not coughing up. Was almunia ever good enough to be our number 1? was denilson ever good enough to be our holding midfielder? was spending total of 12 million on squillaci and mertersaker instead of buying cahill or jagielka the boards fault? What about paying 12mill for the ox instaed of buying say marvin who is a full international. What about forcing keown out the door when he was the defensive coach at the club. We could go on and on but the fact remains the buck must stop with the manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy who's in his own world, who cares nothing for the AST. Do you really think wenger's first option woulda been arteta? 'course not, it's cos wenger won't pay over HIS valuation of the player in question. Deadline day deals, were panic buys. hence 35 mil bid for goetze and a 30 mil bid for m'villa turned down on deadline day. The thing that annoys me is that he doesn't seem to mind wastin couple of mil on jokers like squallachi and silver man, give em a year or two then there off on a free. Wenger knew fabregas was goin and chose to wait till the last day of the window to replace him, couple of injuries and suspentions at the start of the season and we line up with that joke of a squad at old trafford.

Agree0 Disagree0

Makes me laugh too. The AST are closer to the club than probably all of us.

To dismiss them just makes you look a fool

What do you guys think about the odds of RVP signing a new contract? he is about to enter the last year and has been stalling on a new deal

Believable19 Unbelievable17

I Reckon Hell Wanna Say But Only If We Show Ambition In The Next Window

Agree0 Disagree0

How do u know he has been stalling, dont tell me your aunt is his cleaner lol

Agree0 Disagree0

RVP said in an interview recently that he was in no rush

Agree0 Disagree0

After today's game he'll be in even less of a rush

Agree0 Disagree0

Rvp will sign new contract. to commited

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like he has had enough too, adios probably in January after we have been eliminated from the champions league along with exits from Carling and FA cups. Don't even mention where we will finish in the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would you re-sign for Arse? I sure as s**t wouldn't RVP could choose plenty of options for silverware, plus will Arsenal even offer him a decent contract... I think not

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

No way in hell he is signing a new contract. Not a chance. He is the last of a generation who have left because they have seen the direction we're headed.

Agree0 Disagree0

The biggest problem we have is Arsene and the useless board.
Who the hell would want to play for an incompetent manger and an unambitious board?
We need a revolution- Off with their heads.
Arsene, they have no bread to eat. Arsene replies, let them eat brioche!

I think a ANY half-backed manager could step in and do a better job than this useless tos*er we have.
Living on past glories is not good enough for a club like Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nasri done exactly the same thing, kept stalling and saying he loves the club, then 'BANG' he is almost out of contract and gets a monster contract at City, leaving AW with his finger up his nose.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Van persie isnt doing what nasri did, and van persie has been at the club much longer than nasri was, so to be fair to robin, if he wanted to leave, who could blame him. After seeing the blackburn match today, I can only reiterate again that the arsenal midfield has absolutely no creativity without wilshere in it (arteta is nowhere near the standard of cesc) and van persie on his own, is really struggling. Also, I always felt that clichy was a massive reason for arsenal not conceeding more goals than they did, when he was in the team - and now without him (not having a go at the new guy santos, he hasnt had a chance yet) we can see that arsenals back 4 is pretty shoddy.

13 corners vs blackburn today, and with a big 6ft6 defender in our team - how many goals did we score from corners, or infact, how many times did we even get on the end of a corner in their half?!?!? or in ours for that matter...

Not good enough.

Daniel

Agree0 Disagree0

I would say it™s in the balance. RVP does love the club and would love to win with Arsenal and I do not think he would leave for money, it just about if and when. We have to start performing and proving we a good side that can compete. We need a proper focal point central striker a disciplined DM and another CB in January that will give us a strong Spine to the side.

Agree0 Disagree0

RVP is in a very good Dutch side, who I think in time will start to win things,he is now at his prime age,so has to consider his future at Arsenal. He has seen(as we have)the excuses, year in,year out that AW gives after matches about his young team developing. It must get disheartening for him,to put his team ahead in the game(or assist),only for his team to let in a soft one at the other end.We are so missing a "Vieira Like" midfielder who can sit in front of the defenders and organise the game. But I do believe that RVP will not sign a new contract, and unless things change at Arsenal, who can blame him?
Braintreegooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Sadly, RVP will not sign a new deal and who could blame him? all his teammates from a few years ago have gone on to double their salaries! if not january then definitely next summer
