Ed would you shed some light on arsenals interest in PSG full back kurzawa?

{Ed002's Note - A third-party advisor has mugged Arsenal in to looking to a constantly injured money pit.}

Thanks Ed. You previously said arsenal were not interested in Upamecano this month, do you know if that remains the same?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware that Arsenal have the money to buy him this month and RBl would not sell unless someone were to pay well over the odds. What do you think has changed?}

You said Leipzig have made him available so thought arsenal would sell try sell some players in order to buy him.

{Ed002's Note - How would that happen?}

Auba Lacca who else has big value DG mate? We can't keep saying sell Mustafi Xhaka and Elneny to raise money for top player replacements.
I wouldn't be against letting one of Lacasette or Auba go if we could strengthen elsewhere but these are the kind of decisions we have to make it we want to buy.
We gambled everything and more in summer and it will take time to rebuild funds.

Sell Mustafi, maybe xhaka and one of the strikers, but I assume I’m wrong.

{Ed002's Note - Who to.?}

I Just think we need to be honest with ourselves about what is and what isn't possible and what it would require to make any big move possible.
If we could and did sell Mustafi for 10 million that's the type of funds we'd have available to replace him with.
I know it's not very exciting but it is what it is and there are other ways than spending that we can improve.

i think we should sell Laca and use those funds to buy dayot. that might be the case since arteta has chosen to keep eddie at the club rather than loan him out. i don't see the point in having 2 elite strikers. keeping auba and selling laca will also bring more balance to the team as it will allow martinelli, saka and nelson more game time, something they desperately need. hope arteta decides to take this route as we desperately need a CB.

Fellows this is what I’ve been saying for sometime. Sell one of the strikers, more so Auba given that he is possibly more sellable and Laca might be easier to bench or rotate without unsettling the whole team. However, the club may think it’s too much of a risk to sell Auba if the alternative doesn’t work out. They would be ridiculed by us the fans and the professionals. In which sense sell Laca as Auba was brought in because he wasn’t finding the net often enough. So why continue to keep him albeit this happen under different management.

Auba, Pepe, Martinelli, Saka and possibly Nketiah can all play across the front three except for Laca - so he might be the vulnerable one. It would be nice to make the decision now and finish the season with that preferred mix and cement the understanding throughout the pre-season.

The club made public they will sell those within 18 months of their contract ending if they haven’t renewed, with a small exception of those 30+

In terms of central defenders I would prefer a PL defender. The problem is which one we could get of real quality for the long term? Sometimes our transfer moves should be aggressive to make a statement. Strikers will normally continue to fear a defender they know they make beat or get the better of. We are crying out for a defender to hit the ground running not needing at least a season to get up to speed. We could end up with two such defenders next season if we buy Upamecano. Image leaking the goals next season with those two if it doesn’t work straight away. 🙁🙁🙁 let's hope not.

I would sell Auba Martinelli seems to find the net these days. Laca works more across the front line than Auba and given that Arteta wants a pressing working team Auba is not that kind of player.
I also think to get that sort of money now for a player over 30 is a better move than waiting another season when his value will drop considerably.

Ed now that kurzawa looks likely to head to Juventus. does that mean we have left the race? Or are we still stupid enough to convince him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The difference is that Juventus would be open to taking him now rather than in the summer as a Free Agent. It is not agreed, as far as I know, where he will end up.}
