Ed002 I Tweeted Javier Perez About Legal Issues And He Said Its Only Illegal If The Club No Nothing Of The Pre Contract. {Ed002's Note - Tell him is speaking BS and to read the rules. A club cannot with a player contracted to another club until 6 months before the contract ends if he plays under another federation. However, in cases such as Podolski two clubs can agree a deal subject to the registration being transfered in the summer. It seems he is a charlatan and knows zip about this.}

Believable7 Unbelievable3

So let me get this right, two clubs can not sign a contract that states a player will be sold to a certain club for a certain price in the next window? {Ed002's Note - No, clubs can reach agreement but a player and a club cannot have a pre-contract - just accept Perez is clearly a charlatan who knows zip of the whole matter. Suarez may well move to Arsenal but he has no pre-contract agreement with Arsenal that he can - and all of this "it is OK if the club knows" is BS.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it just me, or are we getting too technical? For Suarez & Holtby, Javier has always argued that there is an agreement between clubs for the transfer of those players in the summer, not that there were only agreements between the player and Arsenal. For Podolski, the argument is the same. Now people have used pre-contract and agreements between clubs as synonymous, and that isn't exactly right. However, I don't understand why there is a need to continually argue such a simple, technical point when it seems what people are REALLY asking is if others believe there is an agreement between Schalke/Koln/Anderlecht and AFC for the transfer of these 3 players in the summer.

Ibster {Ed002's Note - Well the question I was originally asked was about a pre-contract between Suarez and Arsenal. Now it seems Perez has responded on Twitter saying that it is OK to do this if the club knows. It is absolute BS and he clearly knows zip. This whole matter is very tedious and is a waste of my time to keep dragging it out.}

Podolski won't be coming, Arsene wants Olivier Giroud. I have it on the best authority that Arsene will break the bank for Mario Gotze, and Vontenghen because his Versatile. Yann M'vila on the radar so is Lewis holtby. Eden Hazard going to Liverpool.

Believable5 Unbelievable41

Eden Hazard to Liverpool?? Don't think so..

Agree0 Disagree0

There is absolutely no way that Hazard is going to Liverpool.

PR!

Agree0 Disagree0

You are right on Gotze but Podolski is already done. Giroud could still come in. Think Chamakh, Park, Bendtner and Vela will be all sold.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think wenger will sign podolski and giroud.

We will potentially have:
RVP
Podoloski
Theo
Gervinho
Ox
Miyachi
Joel Campbell

I think wenger will sign 2 big players and then look at some youth talent.
Striker: podolski
Cam: gotze, hazard, belhanda, marvin, marin, gourcuff, ayew, etc.

Been championing Gotze since we first showed an interest, and I really really think he is the puzzle piece we currently lack; which could knit together our current squad.

Podolski I keep hearing so many rumours about and there has to be a fire beneath the smoke so I take back my whole "We will never sign him" gig and say maybe it's 50/50.

No way Hazard would go to Liverpool? I wouldn't be so sure about that, they are willing to throw around some cash and money talks.

I'm not saying he will end his career there, but there is as much chance of him going to Lpool or even Spurs as there is him coming here. He isn't going to be sticking around long wherever he goes so I hope it's not Arsenal.

On a side note well done to Bet365 who paid back all bets on the Spurs Bolton game and published a good will note on their website, wishing him and his family well.

I loved seeing how Spurs, Bolton, Arsenal, pretty much all lovers of the great game stood aside each other in support of Muamba.

I think football did itself proud, and it's about time because we get so much stick just because we love footy and it's nice to see even the 'old skool' fans dropping the attitude to look after one of their own.

Good show lads :) Now let's focus on Wednesdays game with Everton.

4 - 0 !! Hehe any win would do but 4-0 would be lovely at 50/1

Cannot see Gotze transfer happening. His club do not even want to sell him. No way Wenger going to pay £30m for a midfielder and then about £12m for a defender he might not need. Vertonghen far more likely than Gotze but none of us, whatever the "source", knwo what Wenger is planning.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster above. Its a known fact Wenger did bid 35 mill last summer for Gotze!!

Update: according Kolner Express Podolski will be an arsenal player by monday.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well let's hope that the Kolner express are of brighter character than their English counterpart .... The Daily Mail lol

I hope you are right though we need strikers

Vertonghen and podolski look definitely in although lately there has been some rumours about pod to lazio but vertonghen has told his agent to fix him an arsenal move source:Skysportsnews

Believable20 Unbelievable2

We will not sign vertonghen.
AG

Sorry arsene wenger^

Agree0 Disagree0

And ur reasoning behind that response AG? Do u think 3 good cb's are enough? He can cover a lot of positions and has just come out and said he wants to move to arsenal...told his agent to make it happen

Agree0 Disagree0

What I want to know is if he can play as a right back as well? As much as I love Jenkinson for his commitment and for being a proud Gooner I still don't think his good enough yet to be Sagna's deputy but in time I do think he will have the No. 2 across his back.

Vertonghen will be a arsenal player next season. we lack quality backup in that area and arsene knows that he's not stupid!

he's gonna be one of the singings of the summer in my opinion & what a steal £10million.

-Homesick-

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually - AG probably has plenty of reasoning.

For a 4th choice Djourou is pretty good. We can't afford 4 (50-70k a week) CNs - only 2 can play. Unless you propose that he comes in as an LB, I dont think this is a fit.

I are this player going to bayern, Chelsea or
inter.

This Lazio thing is a load of b****cks. As far as I an see he was asked would he like to play with Klose again, obviously he said yeah. The media just spin it as he is snubbing arsenal

CT

Agree0 Disagree0

My reasonings are as follows;
we have three very good centre-backs as it is. we also have djourou who has just signed a contract extension and is one of arsene's favourites - we will not be selling him - we also have kyle bartly and ignasi miquel who both look very good prespects waiting to get their chance. so even though we will sell squid, we still have six centre-backs.

vertonghen is primarily a centre back, he CAN play left back, but if anyone has seen him play you will soon realise he just doesnt have the pace to do it week in week out at a top level. we also have gibbs and santos already there who are specialist left-backs.

some people think he will be bought as a defensive midfielder; again - he is not needed - we have song, coquelin and frimpong already there. althogh vertonghen is good on the ball he isnt good enough to play in the middle of the park.

he's a good player, and yes he's versatile, but aside from maybe frimpong going on loan none of the above mentioned will be sold this year.

every year we get players publically saying "arsenal is my dream club" or something along those lines . its rhetoric. that is it - we don't need him, he won't be signed.
AG

Agree0 Disagree0

Confident on vert, regardless who we have already he is a fine player we would have quality rotation with him in squad. And in all likely hood we will have

Agree0 Disagree0

Again - I think people for 2 simply things.

We are trying to balance that wage structure and we also can only have 25 players. You want 5 to be CBs!

Billybob452

Agree0 Disagree0

Just get rid of Djourou whether he signed a new contract or not. If someone is willing to take him let him go. Simple.

Also, I'd take Vertonghen over Mertesacker any day of the week.

From Vertonghen himself:

"Arsenal are a magnificent club and I hear a lot of good things about English football," Vertonghen said. "If a club of Arsenal's calibre can reach agreement with Ajax, then I will gladly go over.

"I have instructed my agent carefully. He knows which clubs I want to join, and Arsenal are one of them."
