Ed,

We're linked with Morata for stupid money by many sources.

Maybe I don't understand how thinigs work, but wouldn't we be better off throwing stupid cash at Everton for Lukaku? Is that even remotely possible?

{Ed025's Note - they are talking £64m for lukaku alex which is far too much mate, morata will cost big money as well but for me is the better choice..

Not purely based on scoring goals I don't think he is Ed, and that's what we need - we have the creativity. Although I know Lukaku can have his dry patches.

{Ed025's Note - lukaku will definitely score you goals TPG of that there is no doubt, the rest of his game is not so good and his first touch awful, i believe morata has a better all round game but thats just my opinion mate..

Thanks. I realise that Morata might not have the numbers, but I do remember another ex-Juve forward we signed that came good, given the chance.

oh yes i totally agree, the amount of money in the game is barbaric! they get more money and we get higher ticket prices and tv subscriptions! but it is what it is. i just ment comparitavly even in the crazy market prices of football i can't see that he has done enough to be worth what is it £50 odd mil being talked about? he hasn't really come close to many other players who have sold in that region has he?

anyone know if there's any truth to breaking the bank for morata? and if so why? he's a good player but suerly not for the amount talked about his goal scoring record is pretty poor. i don't understand why we would be willing to splash that for him but not for someone else.

I am not a huge fan of him, Obviously someone rates him. figures mentioned are mind blowing considering he hasn't done a lot in my opinion.
