Arsenal have always been leaders in innovation. From managerial appointments to ground development. There is a set of values within the club and an Arsenal way that other clubs would love to have within their DNA. The appointment of Arteta and the leadership and managerial structure put in place to take us forward could be brilliant, or it may stutter. However I am behind it, football moves forward as so do Arsenal - forward together I say.

The whole thing is pathetic it’s a MASSIVE gamble, the stadium could well be half empty by October . MA has absolutely no experience of management. it just suits the board to have a novice they are less likely to ask for pocket money.

True it could well go either way. However you've just summed up the modern day arsenal fan. Stadium could be empty by October. Now the thought of our fans throwing the dummies out and not going to support us is pathetic. I understood the previous time we did that. But if we do that each time we don't get our way we'd look far more ridiculous as a club than taking a risk with arteta.

D i can't agree with you, fans, no, all humans have every right to protest and let people know how they feel. If no one get hurt physically, i support them fully, if they have a grievance. Wenger would still be here if it wasnt for the paying public showing their dissatisfaction. No problem at all with that. If arteta or whoever is good, then i think there will be no problem at all.

The more I think about it, the more I can't believe the levels of negligence at the club. I mean, it's show a total disability to read out our own problems an give an efficient answer to it.
It's true that we can't give an opinion of Arteta's abilities to run the club before he get the chance, but his lake of experience is precisely what we don't need in this moment.
It's a decision made out of emotions and the possibility of a fary tale, I'm sorry but that's absolutely childish.
We have been humiliated around world football in recent years, and the possibility of a hidden super hero coming out of nowhere is really surplus to requirements.
Of course I will back him up if he is chosen, but at the moment it's seems as a childish solution to turn around our childish attitude about competition.

the new man will not be there to run the club only to coach the team, that's why the new guys were brought in, and the problem with the club has always been the board, why people are only jumping on this bandwagon now is beyond me.

You, as other, say "only coach the team" as if will be a minor task.
Whoever will coach the team need to be able to deal a damaged team in terms of the needed mentality to approach big games and wining opportunities, also need to manage big egos and sorted important defensive problems among other big taska.
Is there for anyone to see, that our club has beenn hanging for years in cozy culture and a difficulty to take personal responsibility for the mistakes. Arteta is an endogamic option, more of the same, hence no a real solution.
I write this hoping to be wrong but I'm convinced that we really need to look beyond and bring outside solutions to our club culture.

So David Ornstein AKA The Ornacle just all but confirmed Arteta's arrival:

Arsenal close to appointing boss, next week likely. Start of continental model: head coach slots into predefined structure, will contribute to recruitment decisions and have veto. Transfer targets were discussed with interviewees, pre-sales budget ~£50m #AFC

We are obviously taking a leaf from the big European clubs book, and we'll have to wait and see how well it will work in England. With regards transfers I really hope this new decentralised system doesn't cause friction like there is at Chelsea. Him having the option to veto players that SM and RS like surely means we'll often find it hard to agree on a player to bring in. That said, I'm interested to see who we go for (praying for some proper defenders) . They've appointed Arteta presumably to uphold the values of attractive attacking football, but I think every Arsenal fan on the planet knows the on field issues which need addressing first. Let's pray our new trio of decision makers bring in the right guys.

Out of interest, given the 50m budget, we're almost certainly going to be selling some players this summer. Who gets the chop? For me Ramsey Bellerin and Mustafi can go. Should raise about 70m.

Hello Ed002, there's many reports today saying arsenal are close to agreeing to sign Bernd Leno and Caglar Soyuncu. I know we don't need a manager to sign players because of the new structure so do u have any ideas if this is true because you've previous said there's interest but has anything developed from this recently? Thank you mate!

It’s because even Arsenal don’t know what the hell they're doing?! How can ED hit us with solid information when it’s literally a circus, where the ambition of the fans is way of the boards.
