Lille academy director Jean-Michel Vandamme:re hazard: chelsea have been following him the closest ,and man city's patrick viera has been at lille watching him,The buyer will have to come up with a lot of money - let us say he is not currently to go for less than forty million

Believable19 Unbelievable8

For forty million we should deffo buy Gotze. I dream of the day his name is on the arsenal website!

Gotze Would do Just Aswel At Arsenal Plus I Would Wenger To Convert Him Into A More Cam Imagen Gotzer Wilshere And Song/Frimpong/Coquelin

^^ What About It

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal dont sign players as good as goetze or hazard...why dont people on here understand this. We sign players who might become As good as them, but not players already that good.

Agree0 Disagree0

Then Why Did Wenger Try An Sign Him

Agree0 Disagree0

No way is he going for 40mil, only 20 and is not that good yet. If we were so close in the summer I wouldn't be surprised if really go for him again

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know wenger tried to sign him ? Because it said so in a newspaper? wenger saying he has an interest, isnt the same as wenger trying to buy.

He even said recently that 'i was interested in lucho gonzalez' - was? and that was only for a loan deal..if he cant afford to buy someone like that, then he cant afford to buy hazard.

Agree0 Disagree0

It Wasnt The Price But The Age

Agree0 Disagree0

World is going crazy hazard 40 mill? lol...ok good for lille...chelsea can pay that cant care less..its not like there arent players like him...every year they churn out 40 mill players...cant keep buying them every year...

would it be awesome to have not just one hazard in our team, but two? what if we bought both eden and thorgan hazard in january? it would be amazing. eden hazard has been compared to messi, ronaldo and zidane, while some think thorgan will be even better. so imagine a team with two messi's... {Ed002's Note - The old Orange Sunshine kicking in is it?}

Believable7 Unbelievable17

Yea ive heard all these messi comparisons...fact is gotze and hazard are not even close to ronaldo...so thinking of them as even being close to messi is a dream.

Players like messi come around once every 20 years...they dont churn out like butter in a barn.

German messi was marko marin now Gotze
French messi is now marvin martin
turkish messi arda turan
belgian messi hazard
english messi wilshere
dutch messi erikson
japanese messi ryo

i could go on and on...fact is most of these players are really really good...and i would love to have those we dont.

but to think they will turn into messi or better is a joke. Messi was running cicles around on seniors ever since he was 8.

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't mean they are better than messi. i meant thorgan will be better than eden. and i meant hazards have been compared to him. they have a similar playing style, but they're not as good. i'm sorry, that post was misleading. but you can't deny eden is a brilliant player who would walk to our starting eleven anytime (given that gervinho is a starter and hazard was always better than him). i also believe thorgan is likely to become just as good.

Agree0 Disagree0

Messi Is Overated As F*** Dont Get Me Wrong He's Fantastic (Sir Alex) But Zizou Was Just As Good Ronaldihno Was As Good Infact Maradona Was As Good

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are talking about Christian Eriksen he is from Denmark and has 18 caps for Denmark so not Dutch....

Agree0 Disagree0

Messi is over rated...lol..unlike ronaldo who shrinks on the big stage messi was there. Scoring goal after goal against the biggest teams in europe.

Theres a reason why players like pele keep on harping about how he is as good as messi while messi doesnt even respond to his verbal attacks...its on the pitch he does the talking. At 24 won every accolade besides the world cup...

whats over rated is your opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Simply He Is Not The Best Player To Grace The Planet

Agree0 Disagree0

So who is good pele?

you do know brazil won a world cup without him? and he proved nothing in the brazilian league.

Maradona? same guy who missed a world cup and argentina went on to win it without him? i do admit he did play a one man band for the other world cup title...

Zizou? ofcourse he is a great player i love that guy...but he does not effect a game like messi does.

Ronaldinho? yea he was good but he let himself down letting himself go.

You clearly dont understand football..

hes 24 and hes already spoken of in the same breath as the legends like cruyff and maradona and pele...hes just started and has won everything he has to at club level...individual accolades and all...

so unless majority of the world is crazy or your the one who is...if i go by stats it does not favour you. so stick to what you know...

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately You My Friend No Nothing About Football Messi Doesnt Carry Barca They Carry Him. How Good Are Argentina Good Enough To Be Beaten Four Nill By Germany Atleast Ronaldo Can Carry His Country On His Back. Done Get Me Wrong Messi Is Special But People Talk Him Up Way To Much Like They Did the Ones Before Him

Agree0 Disagree0

A national team requires chemistry while a club is a team where you constantly play with the same players.

its got to do with coaches too.

Ronaldo's national team record is nothing to boast, and neither is messi's, neither of them have carried their teams to any great lenghts.

If you look at the england team you will see how the individuals stand out but collectively fail. perhaps you remember the algeria game england should have won.

so before you talk perhaps you should understand football before bashing players.

if you only went by national teams then Ryan giggs and gareth bale and ibrahimovic would be rubbish players...its time and consistency that builds chemistry...and if you dont know argentina have changed 3 coaches already since the world cup. 3 different training methods 3 different philosophies.

I have played structured football and from my amateur experience its not as easy as kicking a ball. the tactics and open play cover go beyond just standing around asking for the ball as you would in a kick about. So yea i do know about football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate I Never Bashed Anyone And Portugal Polished The Floor With Spain Just After The World Cup

Agree0 Disagree0

Using Giggs, Bale, and Ibra playing for Wales & Sweden respectively to justify Messi playing poorly for his country? Messi plays for Argentina. the team is loaded with talent.

yes, it lacks chemistry which is why individuals should stand out even more. the forwards for Argentina dont get the same type of service they'd get at a club like Barca with Xavi, Iniesta, Biscuits, Cesc, etc. in midfield.

perhaps Xavi, Iniesta, the whole midfield co. at Barca aren't getting enough credit for Messi's success? obviously Messi is great but he's playing with perhaps the best midfield in the history of the sport at Barca. without flawless service, he has tended to disappear.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeahh Man But I Can Never Deny Messi's Talent

Agree0 Disagree0

Well whatever you want to say about messi or whoever...its your opinion man...i cant care less..

to be quite honest i think hes a great player...but for me right now im worried about arsenal and could give two fingers for anything else.

We need to improve and other teams need to destroy each other or start sucking...

Well I'm seeing more talk of Walcott to Juventus (as if he's randomly go there), and talk of R Madrid getting ready to bid 30m for RVP.

That one worries me a bit. I mean, if he goes, he deserves to go there and I'd rather than than staying in the UK 100%, but the fact tat we want 2 of their strikers to add to our strike force whilst keeping RVP...this will not be good if he goes there. They obv won't consider a swap deal if they're going to offer 30m. I think we should hold out for 40m anyhow.

Believable15 Unbelievable6

I dont think it has any legs..its not like madrid are struggling to score goals.

They have benzema and Higuain and they want to add neymar...dont forget they have ronaldo.

Mourinho will not buy a striker for 30 mill and have him sit on the bench and neither will persie.

If he does go, it will be an italian team most likely...juventus need a striker as they have stalled on contracts with Del Piero..Tevez is most likely to head to Corinthians or Inter in a really low bid of 20 million.

But most likely scenario is that wenger bolsters squad and van persie stays. we have talent we just need to gel them..we are still 2-3 players away from that.

Mvila, Martin, and Hulk or Rossi would be my options.

With Villareal struggling, Mvila and Martin wanting to play champions league football its likely we could get 2 of thos players.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that Madrid do not really need RVP so why waste 30M?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we shouldn't sell him

i suggest everyone to watch andre pierre gignac tonight if he plays. he could be a possible target in january if we fail to land a player like hulk, higuain or benzema. i think he's very good but has had quite poor form recently

Believable1 Unbelievable17

Oh god n - he is a terrible player - it would Koscielny, Chamakh, and Squillaci again.
