Walcott is sticking to his wage demands despite the fact he does want to stay at the club but arsenal will not budge either so he will be gone in january, it is also the reason walcott has not been playing as wenger is trying to prove that we will not be bothered if he goes, unlikely to be any replacement unless needed, although a player will be brought in but no-one knows who at this moment in time.

Im sick of the walcott story tbh, hes a greedy wee s***, 75k p/w for a 23yr old thats hardly been vintage since he joined and he says he wants more, for what reasons theo? you need to earn your salary and respect. and i think wenger would be mad not to go for demba ba for 7.5 million if what pardew says is true, hes a goal machine, depends how Giroud does in the next few months aswell, but having Giroud, Ba, and Podolski to choose from, can only be good

Walcott not worth the money - simple as ... Gervinho and Chambo more than worthy replacements than him. If Arsenal get any money for him in January I'll be happy to see Walcott gone. Nothing against him personally; he seems like a nice guy, but that's not enough for the Arsenal.

Getting away from the facts here id really like walcott to stay but he aint done enough to command 50k a wk let alone 75-100 hopefully they'll sort out a deal

I do like wallcott but we just have too many better wingers

Or since we have Podolski, Gervihno, and the Ox on the wings...he's having it cut out for him to get into the team.

{Ed013's Note -Hi fellow football fans, I came across this link today http://www.justgiving.com/Noel-whelan for a 16 month old Baby suffering from Cancer. I don't like throwing charities in your faces, but this story really threw me back and for anyone with Children or anyone that is planning Children,I am sure you can feel a small part of what this family is going through. If anyone can give any donation at all then it will go towards saving this poor Child's life. Thanks very much - Editor 13}

No wonder we've been scouting Yanga-Mbiwa forever. 23years of age & looks a real prospect. Looks like he can be comfortable in DM as well in my opinion. Pitty he prefers AC Milan but wouldn't complain if we got him. Isco & Llorente added to that in Jan & we will be a force ! I can dream can't I.The Usmanov Kid

Forget Llorente - just isn't going to happen, Isco unlikely. That leaves Mbiwa - maybe.

I agree, I think he could be the new michael essien (at his prime).

Can't see Yang-Mbiwa coming, I'm happy with our CB positions at the moment and I think Milan would be his best destination as I can imagine him being a starter for Milan for many years.

We are a force already and i dont see wenger spending big money on jan.
by jan, we will have wilshere, rosicky and sagna back. the squad is strong and deep. now if only our goalie dont make stupid mistakes..

ba unhappy walcott unhappy ba would be a perfect replacement

Totally agree - I've thought this for a while now. Can't believe we haven't pursued it.

Hold On BA whining because he doesnt start, and when he does he plays out wide... so why would he want to come and play out wide to replace Theo.
Theo will sign.
Agree2
Disagree0
Apart from the reason ba is unhappy is because when he is played, he's played out wide when he prefers to play up front... not a great replacement in that aspect but he is a great player still.

I wouldn't be surprised if Arsene buys Mbwia in January. Looks very capable of being our 1st choice right back for years to come.
Sakho wouldn't be a bad purchase in the summer, can play left back and would be a better back up player than Mertesacker in central defence. Mertesacker is not good enough.
Just my thoughts
Any chance of these happening Ed? {Ed002's Note - I cannot see Mbiwa moving in January as it would not be financially beneficial for him to do so. AC Milan and Juventus will look to get a pre-contract agreed in January for a move next summer. Sakho is a centre back although he could provide cover at LB - but he would not move to sit on the bench.}

While I agree Mbiwa looks an excellent player, I disagree we'll sign him. We can't buy or afford every impressive player we see. Also, didn't he say he wanted to go to AC Milan. Not saying that means he will go to Milan but still. We should be happy some of our own defenders are going good at the moment.

"mertesacker is not good enough" lol. i would be surprised if this guy watches match of the day let alone full matches.

You're so wrong mate. Mertesacker is our best ball-playing centre-half... I'm amazed how much he's settled this year already.

I agree Mertesacker is one quarter of this seasons most miserly back 4. He has been so composed and like the other guy says, his distribution is top notch.
In Arsene I Trust.
