Arsenal have had a bid of 20m euros rejected for yann mvila CANAL+

Believable13 Unbelievable7

Why when reports are saying he has an asking price of £10m

Agree0 Disagree0

Came from french football websites , they all reckon he is worth more than that , so he is certainly not valued at 10 mill

Agree0 Disagree0

EUROS not pounds...

yet another lesson from Arsenal today, We have no other left back and Gibbs is injury prone. I do IT, not a football manager, nothing like that I know Gibbs cant last a season and we have no back up? Surely Wenger who gets paid for his football knowledge knows this?

Believable15 Unbelievable4

... and we could've had Enrique.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you thik it was a lesson your of your head half a team and a bit of luck beat us liverpool wont be in the top 10 thats the best they can hope for

Apparently Gervinho is at stamford bridge for the chelski match, any ideas?

Mike {Ed002's Note - He knows both Kalou and Drogba and is apparently close to Kalou.}

Believable15 Unbelievable4

Was he not at our game supporting his own team?? {Ed002's Note - He was. A you struggling over the concept of time?}

Agree0 Disagree0

He was at the emirates before

Agree0 Disagree0

Ivory coast team mates

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently some idiots aren't aware Arsenal and Chelsea are both in London?

Agree0 Disagree0

Simple he watched Arsenal travelled a slight distance from emirates to stamford bridge. he had over 3 hours to make the journey. He's banned for 3 matches and is team mates with both Drogba and Kalou and friends with Mikel. Simple

Agree0 Disagree0

Woow..
is he really a supportive person, Ed?
cant believe he got so angry on the incident at newcastle...
he went to the stamford bridge after his team play at emirates just show you that this guy has good attitude. i know both club based in london. but u still need time to go there.from north to west london..

Agree0 Disagree0

He was also behind the arsenal dugout today.....new to london...a meal with his mates so what

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is this even on here. Fifa rules wouldnt allow a transfer, and its obvious he has friends in London playing for other clubs that will be vital for him settling into life in London.
BD

Agree0 Disagree0

He was at the Chelsea game as Didier Drogba's guest. He is from the Ivory Coast and this was just a nice gesture from one team mate to another. Earlier on he was at the Emirates supporting his team.

do u see gervinhio playing up front? and maybe rvp behind him i tihnk this will suit both of them.

Believable14 Unbelievable7

I see were your coming from because chamakh and bendtner are rubbish. and gervinhio is decent aerial abilty and is also a poacher.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like Gervinho as a player he does make things happen, but I still see him as more of support striker that will chip in with a few goals, but is not a orthodox on the last man penalty box knowhow striker that you will get you 20+ goals a season. This is what we need, a proper box playing Striker(A Fox in the Box, but not Jeffers). We need runners in behind we have too many deep lying creative players

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be Walcott if anyone, not Gervinho. But will never happen with Wenger's stubborness and its his stubborness which is starting to cripple the club

Agree0 Disagree0

whats the latest on nasri on sky sports they said the deal is off due to the agent asking for too much money.

Believable16 Unbelievable4

His agent is david deins son

Agree0 Disagree0

It is still very much on from what I heard Nasri has agreed terms, it's just issues over Agent fees I think

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah 175,000-200,000 a week does that

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant uderstand why Arsenal cant work out a new contract for Nasri to stay for at least one season with a get out clause that will allow Arsenal to at least recover the fees they paid for him, should he still feel the need to leave. Surely must be a cheaper option than buying an expensive replacement who will need time to settle and may also not necessarily be a success.

Agree0 Disagree0

How come he is also listed as a player of Alain Migliacco , agent to Ribery

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 17:27:28
Reports in france claim the Nasri to Man city deal has broken down.......

im getting v.worried after watching lfc game...
-suarez and carroll ripped our backs apart
-----------------------------------------------------
these are some rumours ive heard (some not true)

g.cahill - (14 - 16m)
s.dann - (8 - 10m)
mertesacker (6m)
c.samba (8m)

j.cole (10m)
j.mata (25m)
diego (8-9m)
goetse (n/a)

e.hazard (26m)
g.higuain (25m)
zarate (10m)
c.tevez (swap for nasiri+5m)

j.murphy

ps; i would buy cheap lfc midfielder aquilani aswell

Believable3 Unbelievable19

Carroll ripped our defence apart? We're we watching the same game? Yeah we need a couple of new cbs but the Verm was all over Carroll all game Every header was won by a guy who is at least a ft smaller than Carroll

Agree0 Disagree0

Behave Verminator had Carroll in his pocket all day

Agree0 Disagree0

Carroll was awful, if Liverpool wanted a playerto run round head the ball to the floor and occasionally fall over they could have had Bendtner for £20 mil i thought 2-0 was harsh on us today and given the team that was on the field and we went 1 man down then we did ok, Liverpool are nowhere near a trophy winning side from what i saw.

Agree0 Disagree0

You do know wenger wont sign a single 1 from that list apart from dann, the rest your deluding yourself Wenger Out hes 1 thats got us in this mess

Agree0 Disagree0

Defense was not a issue today more our lack of threat up front. RVP was simply not given enough support. Both Walcott and Arshavin were both poor today and lawyas ran down blind allys or chosse teh wrong option. Frimpong playred well but Ramsey was totally ineffective

Agree0 Disagree0

Carroll ripped out defence apart? Vermaelen had him in his bak pocket all game, hardly had a look in

Agree0 Disagree0

The defense where solid

Agree0 Disagree0

Carroll did NOT rip our backs apart Verminator played him off the parl & Kozy took care until going off Miquel also played well Suarez however played well by which time Miquel & Jenkinson were tired. No excuse bit what happens if you play teenagers but give credit where due Verminator mom today

Agree0 Disagree0

Verminator dominated caroll but suarez and mereles were quality we played well with the squad we had i was impressed with the youngsters miguel, jenkinson and especially frimpong also i think it wud be a gud idea to go for aquilani hes a quality player just needs the right club

Agree0 Disagree0

By the wenger is talking there will be no signings at all.hardly surprising from the arrogant deluded wenger

Agree0 Disagree0

And those calling for Wenger's head, who will you replace him with? Deluded lot of ingrates, go down the road and support the Arsenal rejects. Also, Joe Cole £10 mil? Are you having a laugh?

Agree0 Disagree0

Did none of you watch the game today? Carroll caused us many problems and gained several free kicks. 2 -0 was unfortunately a fair result in my opinion. Its going to be a tough year unless Wenger spends soon

Redhead

Agree0 Disagree0

8 played well including Nasri. Arshavin, Walcott total rubbish & Van Persie non existent. Has to play as target man due to other 2 being crap. What does it say about Chamakh if Bendtner whoes leaving gets picked before him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Either wenger or board should go,by wengers press conference you would think we were robbed today,FFS get your head out of your arse and save our f##king season by BUYING some experience and use your knowledge to teach these kids how to stay on the pitch, and another thing invest in a medical team that can keep the treatment room empty,TOTALLY F##KED OFF,never been this low since rioch

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not saying Carroll ripped us apart but I thought we need someone like him cuz he rinsed out our defense and suarez picked the pieces. Playing 70 mins against Carroll will surely tire anyone Which is why suarez was effective cuz the defense was on it's last legs . Keep the faith wenger will come good so let the man do the job his way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please mate dont comment again you have no clue what you are talking about, the verminator had carroll in is pocket, carroll looked like he was about to cry, he was getting bullied that much and I must say if liverpool are the team we are supposed to be competing with for 4th place then we have a very good chance, they have spent 100 million and before frimpong got sent off they where starting to struggle to keep with a very young arsenal side with so many players out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger will be in rampton soon.
just hope for ramptons sake, wenger dont apply to coach the footy team

Agree0 Disagree0

Those who said Carroll owned us today, i am not sur eif you were watching a different game to me, but TV was very very impressive. I kind of makes me wonder what could have been last season had he been fit? Back to reality, I agree with some of the fellow posters here, we showed some positive today, I think given the situation we were in today, had Liverpool not one then I think they would have been the laughing stock. Frimpong, Jenkinson Miquel all played well. I dont care if we dont get anyone else in as long as we can keep Nasri. He was fantastic today, kept the ball well and I think he is th eman to replace Cesc. I sure hope the contract break down is true, we need him. Ramsay was aweful today, once Jack is back him and Nasri are going to be a very potent midfield. My personal opinion, 3 more signings, a striker (Benzema is not coming, he is back up the pecking order in Real, so stop dreaming) a left back (why oh why did we not buy Enrique?) and a CB (please buy Cahill). If i had a choice, I would rather keep Nasri than buy Hazard, though if we could get both, that would be wonderful

Agree0 Disagree0

R u crazy? Carroll ripped us apart? U need glasses mate. I've never seen such a bad 30million pound striker.he was shocking tv5 killed him

Agree0 Disagree0

To those thinking Carroll did ANYTHING besides fall over and look hurt about not getting anything out of Vermaelen, you are absolutely idiotic. Our CB was the man of the match, more influential than Suarez. First goal was a freak, second one was when the match was basically over and we were just tired. I'm proud of the lads and regardless of who we need or don't need to buy, every single defender + szczesny had a warrior's spirit tonight.

10000% right

Our problem is arshavin and Walcott. Theo is not good enough to start

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know what game you were watching but Carroll did not rip us apart and nor did suarez. However, we do need defensive cover.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 15:30:29
Arsenal are also going for higuain (as benzema is starting more) and c.samba of blackburn (10m)

Believable9 Unbelievable22

20 Aug 2011 15:22:29
those calling for wengers head (i don't necessary disagree) but now is not the time with the season started a new man wont be able to get the way he wants to play across unless you bring someone in who understands wengers way and who do you suggest. i'm afraid we have to put up with this for the season and see where we stand next may i do however feel as comfortable with this squad as a choirboy would feel in a room full of priests(if you dont laugh then you cry)RED ARMY

Believable8 Unbelievable8

Its never going to be a good time is it. sooner or later he has to go, we need a serious shake up.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are pathetic....call yourself a fan? Start wimpering at the end of the season not the beginning.

Agree0 Disagree0

Most people were wimpering at the end of last season and the season before.
If you want to stick your head in the sand feel free.

Heard that deal for Hazard agreed but it depends on CL qualification.

Believable21 Unbelievable12

All this talk of having to wait to see if we do get thru the CL playu off game before we can conclude any transfers is a complete joke. Players we all know we have needed for more than a season should have been bought a long time ago. We all know that Gibbs and Djouru and Rosisky and Diaby and unfortunatelly Van Persie are really injury prone and are not likely to play in half on any season - FACT Wengers refusal to get a replacement in for Vermaelen last year was an absolute disgrace, a whole season with out our best player. If he had got a top quality centre back in last January we would not need to be still talking about this position now. Will we ever know if it is the board happy to accept mediocrity and make money or if it is Wenger who has lost the plot. As a club we are low now - but i think it will get worse before it gets better. Even an injection of £100 million on players spent now will not get us back to where we were five years ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 14:57:20
arsenal arsenal , the most upseting thing is that gibbbs out
rosicky out
gervinho out
nasri going
van persie questioning arsenal
fabregas gone
wilshere out
chamakh lazy
bendther cant hit a ball
arshavin to fat
and to many youngsters

Believable23 Unbelievable8

I view this as good news but others may not: according to french tv Nasri's £22m move to city has broken down. this is stated in the sky sports news match report for the liverpool game where i think Nasri played pretty well considerin we were very poor. We definately need reinforcements now due to injuries a suspensions.
BD

Agree0 Disagree0

Also odds have been slashed on Cahill and Parker moving to Arsenal. This would Be Brilliant.
BD

Agree0 Disagree0

And frimpong needs to calm down

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally would love Nasri to sign a new contract. If he doesn't we should sell him as we would lose out on a tranfer fee.

If he does sign he will be our key midfielder, between him, vermailen and v persie its a good spine to the team, we need to build around these 3 players.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the worst post I have ever seen...

Lol according to the poster we should just throw out the entire squad including the board, the manager and the med staff LOLOL why not throw out the strip, the cannon and the emirates stadium too ... And go to Cobham to watch Chelski;

Rumour from France that Chelsea may try to bid for Hazard tomorrow/Monday and force Arsenal into a bidding war which we will lose as our "War Chest" has got money which is apparently unspendable or will be spent on defenders/CDM and that goal for Liverpool just proved that.
No exciting big transfers coming in which will lead to a scrap for 4th/5th with Liverpool and Spurs.
Players in
Scott Dann
Vertonghen?
Rodwell?
Jenkinson
Miyachi
Campbell

Players out
Nasri
Fabregas
Clichy
Eboue
Bentdner

Players we lose out on
Mata-Chelsea
Hazard-Chelsea? Stays at Lille?
Cahill-Liverpool?
Jagielka-Stays Everton

Believable12 Unbelievable15

The players you have said coming in are not enough, we need a cb without a doubt., but our problem is we cant create chances and we have no midfield.

people are screaming for nasri to be sold.. well he was our best player today.. I for one dont blame him for wanting out. absolute disgrace.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree completely with needing more players in and your point about Nasri. No chance against Udinese with that defence, Europa League here we come

Agree0 Disagree0

Mereilles is apparently available for sale, Chelsea are interested-translates as Chelsea have beaten us to another quality midfielder, as well as Modric. I fear for our chances this year, i think we should hope for 5/6th with either Tottenham or Liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

Miyachi isn't a new signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep. Nasri was by far the best player on the field today. Maybe the board will park a truck full of money in front of his house tonight... not likely though.
Andre

Agree0 Disagree0

If mata goes chelski then they wont get hazard they never wanted him

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll actually find that they actually are interested in Hazard and are the next most likely team after Arsenal to sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Missing creativity of wilshere, with him and nasri would create enough

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 11:23:02
Ed, is it likely well sign hazard? {Ed002's Note - Likely - probably not. Possible, sure.}

Believable14 Unbelievable7

Haha love it ed, just like arsenals season, whats happened, i have been a gunner all my life and i have never felt so unsure about a team, keep the faith wenger asks, no thanks mate not really a bonjovi fan

20 Aug 2011 12:11:52
Nasri starts Hope he doesnt get too much booing

Arshavin starts too

AOC and Walcott could cause Liverpool loadsa trouble because Carragher is too old and Skrtl and Agger will struggle

Quite excited to see us with the players we are starting today

COME ON YOU GOOOOOONERS

Lets be positive eh? We could be top in couple of hours time :-D

Cammy out

xxx

Believable5 Unbelievable19

Hoping we see Ryo and Alex in the second half, i sometimeswonder if Arshavin realises hes a professional footballer....shocking....bet he gets a hat trick now. Glad to see Nasri is getting stuck in too

Agree0 Disagree0

This game proved that walcott, arshavin are not good enough. there squad players at best. and ramsey is no where near ready to step in

Agree0 Disagree0

I bet u wish you never said anything now liverpool distroyed our midfield and defence hard times at the moment

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol at how liverpool riped you apart in the last 20 mins you need to just get new midfield

Agree0 Disagree0

Hello We got ripped apart coz we were down to 10 men It would of finished probably 0-0 otherwise you need to get a grip and get behind the team moaning and whinging ain't Gona help the cause just make it worse And considering the amount of absentees we have Plus looking at the starting line up the only 2 players that were in the squad that were not last season was jenkinson and frimpong so give them your support otherwise it will damage them players So let's get real and hopefully once we have got through to cl proper the extra signings we need will come in wenger I trust Southeast gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

'hello' we were getting destroyed with 11 men

and getting behind the team? ive been doing it for longer than youve been alive my friend and now im seeing the team I love being sold and destroyed by greedy shareholders and bored members.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 12:09:15
I have just seen the team sheat on SS2 and must say im very excited looking at our team but not just that but also the reserves. Things arent all doom and gloom afterall. Come on the Gunners. I also hope Nasri stays, come on guys get behind this guy yyou never know may just decide to stay.

Believable4 Unbelievable9

Lol you were saying??

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 12:09:08
I would have done the following:

Fabregas & Nasri out asap. +-60m in.

In's:
Given - 7m (brill for Schnez to learn from)
Cahill - 15m
Baines - 15m
Gervinho - 12m (would prob have preferred Cisse from Freiburg and RvP will get hurt shortly)
Parker - 8m (who better to mentor Wilsh & Ram)

AOC only next season and would still of had a few m's left over for Stan.

All signings were possible and I would be feeling a lot better if I was an Arsenal fan. Does that make me a better manager than Wenger or just less stubborn?

;-)

Believable3 Unbelievable16

A much worse manager

Agree0 Disagree0

As soon as I saw given I stopped reading....

Agree0 Disagree0

Manchester city would never sell us Given..
Cahill is overpriced for a player that will go on a free next season..
If Lescott cost £23million, Baines would not go for £15mill, you've clearly been on caughtoffside too much
Cisse has had one good season, before that he was a hot and cold striker, always a risk
Parker is over 30, it goes against every principle Wenger has, and he's actually looking poor in the Championship..

Someone has clearly been playing footymanager again

Agree0 Disagree0

No. Dafter. £7m for Given? Least of our worries and twice the actual price paid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Man city refused to sell given to us, seriously do you follow football news at all.
BD

Agree0 Disagree0

Given does not play for city anymore..

Agree0 Disagree0

Given jus signed for villa a month or two ago?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 12:03:12
WOW Nasri to start against liverpool today.
I didn't see that one coming.

I hope we don't boo, just concentrate on getting behind the players

20 Aug 2011 12:01:26
This may sound a little contradictory based on my last two posts, but SAMIR NASRI starts for us. Shocking stuff, just shows how thin our squad at the moment and explains why we havent sold Nasri yet.
He really shouldnt be playing in this game tbh.
Eman.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Im not an arsenal fan, but i think nasri should play in this game because no matter whats happens after the game... right now he is still in arsenal player and still has a part to play in the team untill he moves...if he moves.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 11:06:14
all those people saying wenger should spend yes he should buy players but it is not like he can go to natwest take out 40m pounds and spend or open his cheque book and give 20m to deschamps it is not wenger if the board had a choice they would choose to spend less plus is any member of the board an arsenal fan?

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Arsenal have over £110M in cash at the bank, before the sale of FAbregas, we do not need a loan for transfers.
Wenger is reluctant to spend, Kroenke needs to man up and tell Wenger he needs to spend or it will be a disaster

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 10:58:29
Sorry eman it wasnt anon it was me, it was just that it was 1.30 in the morning and i was up with my son who was unwell, wasnt concentrating.
Having read a busy night on here and all the emotional and passionate pro's and cons it is obvious things are wrong when the supporters of the same club are slagging each other off bad times and yes much to the ammusement of other fans and the media.
Strangely enough at that time on espn was a thiery henry programme and when you watch the man in action and see the players around him, and then look at the team announced for today it does bring a tear to the eye.
Anyway today, yes support the team but tear down the house in the direction of the board.
Sorry but i dont think there is anything up arsenes sleeve other than two skinny arms
Someone said who can question arsenes integrity? Mrs Wenger Sorry cheap shot.
I fear a frustrating afternoons work.
Ike.

Believable10 Unbelievable2

It's only the second game of the season, how about you see whether we win the game before 'tearing the house down' about anything

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 10:24:42
ed, is there any truth in people saying arsenal have agreed to sign hazard? {Ed002's Note - There is no agreement over Hazard at this time.}

20 Aug 2011 10:24:29
has joel cambell got a work permit

Believable2 Unbelievable6

No he has not yet

Not yet, but it would be highly unlikely that it will be turned down as he is a full international & an exceptional talent.

Let's make this clear. Wenger didn't want to to lose any of Cesc or Nasri. He has gutted when Cesc said to him that he wants to move this year, and he understood, then he played the game with getting the best deal with Barca. He didn't care about the money, cause he had replacements - Nasri, and he had a back-up plan for the last days of the transfer window. But things got complicated with Nasri, and he was really turned on to keep him one more year, but then the Board took over, and decided to cash on him. So he is in a real mess, also because a replacement of Nasri caliber is only available if we get into the group stage of CL. But all the money from Nasri will go into a replacement. With Cesc money, he will get a CB (plenty of choice, even tough the gaffer wants Jags, sad) and maybe a ST if he can find 'super quality' and that is it. No MC replacement for Cesc...you will see. The board is screwing Wenger, and also is delaying his transfers.

Still me

Believable17 Unbelievable2

Yes, the board is screwing Wenger to an exten, but Wenger has to take at least some of the blame for not strengthening the squad in past seasons. Had he done that, Cesc would have been more inclined to stay and perhaps Nasri would have been re-signed prior to entering the final year of his contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish wenger has almost total control of day to day runnings. If he went to the board and said I want Torres they would try although with lots of add PBS Torres. If he has not signed anyone it's because HE has chosen the size of the offer and lost

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2011 09:44:38
miyaichi and frimpong have a great chance to shine today, after his short appearance against newcastle i cant wait to see frimpong get some proper game time.....miyaichi should be a VERY big handful if he plays like we know he can.

night doctor.....not that i dont agree with most of your last post, i just feel you're directing the blame in the wrong direction as are alot on here......the board must be sniggering in their cosy board room at all the mud being slung at wenger.....what you all need to understand is that, IF wenger was to be sacked....do you all reeeaaly think they would repace him with a manager that would spend 100's of millions overhauling the team? not with the current people in charge im afraid

oh, if your going to go and boo the team today....stay at home, thats the last thing the team needs right now.

good luck today lads....3-1, liverpool to score first.
mac

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Don't believe in miracles

Agree0 Disagree0

Then as the guy said stay at home

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I'm with this - the boo boys should stay home or go to Man City for their football.

Agree0 Disagree0

What miracles.....why is it people are diluding themselves that liverpool are a force to be reckoned with?
as far as i can see they arent any better than they were last season.
mac

Wenger said in the last interview that we are a bit short in midfield and in defense, so he is definitely buying 2 player + maybe that no 9 which he spared the shirt for..maybe Forlan? :)

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Aletico wont sell coz they alredy lost ageuro.

Hazard to sign for £23m once CL issue resolved (we'd better qualify then).
I've been clamouring for another half dozen signings on top all close-season but would now definately settle for the following:
Hazard, Vertonghen, Martin in
Bendtner out. Be good to offload Almunia and Squillaci too but we'd only save their wages - no fees.

Gernvinho, Campbell, AOC, Jenkinson, Hazard, Vertonghen, Martin in for (say) £80,000,000. Include Miyaichi who is effectively a new signing having got his work permit, thats already five new signings, the three mentioned would make eight.

Nasri, Cesc, Clichy, Denilson, JET, Bendtner, Randall, Lansbury (shame, I think) Vela (loan) Bothello (loan), Almunia, Squillaci, all out (some work still to do then) for £80,000,000 and we could all be off Wengers back to "do something". (You might add Rosicky and Arsharvin to this list but I don't think they will happen).

Now Thats What I Call Transfer Music Vol 2011

PS: FRIMPONG IS THE ANSWER We used to say that in 1987 about Paul Merson and we were right
then

Max Farnham

Believable16 Unbelievable1

There is no doubt Frimpong is exceptonally talented. I cant wait to see how he develops over the next 3 or 4 seasons. The same goes for; Jenkinson, Miguel, Bartley, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Miyachi, Campbell, etc

Agree0 Disagree0

The answer for "who will get sent off instead of Song?"

Agree0 Disagree0

Give him a break - he still is the answer: anyone can get sent off, and anyway aren't we crying out for someone who tackles tough? Did we want to "drop" Denis when he got sent off? Vieira?

Agree0 Disagree0

Having heard all the rumours this week regarding the transfer of Hazard to Arsenal this looks like it could happen. I can understand the reasoning with Wenger and the board on not rushing into massive signings when Champions league qualificaton is not guarenteed until wednesday night. Any other fans out there think uefa have it in for Wenger at the moment, maybe the Massimo Busacca questioning
has disheveled some of the suits in charge. How dare we question Barca.

Just a thought on todays game, hope Nasri doesnt play AOC is better so is Ryo. Fans are still not understanding the dilemma world football is in.
Carlos Tevez, cannot get a move because he and the agents and people around him are greedy.
No club wants that. Man city fans should be happy, they are destroying football. Hope the Scott Dann rumours are not true. Elijero Elia, Eden Hazard.

Come on GUNNERS.

Roger the alien

Believable12 Unbelievable4

In arsene wengers pre match press conference he said " it is not the money that is stopping us making signings, it is the quality or the availability"
There is no doubting Juan Mata,s quality, and valencia are in talks with chelsea over him, so therefore he is available
If you want us to trust you wenger, stop lying and treating the fans with disrespect, that would go a long way to building trust between us.
We have won just 2 out of the last 12 league games, no matter how much you love arsenal, no matter how far you are up wengers backside, no matter how out of touch you are with reality, no matter how much you drink, how many drugs you take, no matter how little you understand football or business, THAT FACT TELLS YOU THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONV WITH OUR CLUB/SQUAD.
2 in 12 would have most managers sacked anywhere in the world, 2 in 12 would have any fans screaming for changes or signings 2 in 12 is enough to question the trust.
2 in 12 needs action not emotional blackmail, trust me have i ever let you down? You decide.
Ike.

Believable18 Unbelievable6

Agreed. I cant stand all this 'in Wenger we trust' rubbish.
We are simply not good enough. What is it with all these gooners who are happy with 4 place every year.
He has been fantastic for us with what he has done and his time is coming to and end. Its as simple as that, nothing lasts for ever. Thank you Mr Wenger for the stability but its time for a change

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst I understand the frustration (I am), I have to say that calling for someone's head before the end of the window smacks of guilty before having the ability to put one's case i.e we should wait until the end of the window to see what has happened.
If you do get your wish...who would you replace him with. Tell me please, who in world football...that is available would you replace him with, Martin O' Neil? The only person I would like to take over would be Pep, but he is otherwise engaged, and not sure he could do what Arsene has done with money available.
If you speak to anyone who knows about the industry within footballing circles (not talking about Hansen here) they will tell you Wenger is one of a very select few who could have achieved what he has done under the circumstances.
Players come to play under Wenger, not to play for Arsenal, they come to play for Wenger's Arsenal, because he promotes football the way (dependent on your thoughts) it 'should' be played. It hurts me to admit, but Arsenal without Wenger would not be ushered in the same breath as Barcelona or Real Madrid, and this is the mentality of players. Without Wenger we would find it difficult to attract top calibre players.
Wenger just doesn't like to feel he has had his trousers pulled down by silly wage demands/agent fees and transfer fees.
Be very careful what you wish for.

Mauro zarate is in extensive talks with arsenal as he is out of favour at lazio and will look to complete a 10million switch to arsenal next week.

Eden Hazard has agreed a fee with arsenal and are talking about terms.deal will be finalised once arsenal pursue in champions league.

Phil Jagielka is talking to arsenal reps as everton can't spend unroll they sell.(hopefully wenger goes for baines aswell)

Joel campbells move from saprissa to arsenal is complete.

Arsenal have failed in an Loan attempt for lucho Gonzalez of marseille.

Deschamps has followed agnigo statement on the sale of mathieu valbuena to arsenal saying it will only happen next year.

Arsene wenger urged by arsenal board to sign 9million rated Mertesacker from Bremen as he has hinted a move to arsenal and they have failed to qualify into the champion league.

Wenger has shown interest in Andre Ayew and Marvin Martin.

Expect a hectic week next week.

Believable21 Unbelievable6

What? As hectic as previous weeks? Do me a favour.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact is your right, behind the scenes the club is going to be working in overdrive until the end of the window. It's unlikely that all the names will happen, but moves are being made we can all be assured of that.

Wenger isn't an person he can see the issues that need fixing, he is alot better at his job then us. He is just so obsessed about getting value which imo is his downfall.

But again this week is going to be crucial in our season, if god forbid we lose that match on wednesday it will only get worse from there as we will struggle to bring in the talent we need. I figure if Traore goes on loan to QPR a LB will be brought in, or a CB will be brought in and when Gibbs gets injured TV5 will cover him. I expect at least one midfield as it is where we are lacking when Wilshire is absent. Wouldn't expect much else to be honest, Joel Campbell could be our back up striker, which I don't really like but maybe he can prove himself early.

Those calling for Wenger's head are too influenced by media. They are not idiots, but passionate fans who believe too wholeheartedly in what they hear.

In 5-10 years, I can't want to read the posts worshipping wenger and what he did for us. We have an identity, a soul, and Arsenal DNA flowing through our club.

Be proud. We WILL be ok. Our board is the problem, but hopefully this pressure forces them to let Arsene get the players he wants.

A lot of talk on the City page about Nasri and Hazard both going to City. ANy of the Eds know if this is true?

Cheers {Ed001's Note - I don't know anything about Hazard, Nasri has agreed terms and passed a medical with City though, just waiting on Arsenal and City to agree payment terms.}

Believable5 Unbelievable11

Should be simple all cash or player and cash. No holding some back depending on appearences cause will just be benched. Would rather he stayed though.
