Koscielny has agreed a deal worth around £65,000-a-week, despite strong interest from Inter Milan and Barcelona.

Believable30 Unbelievable7

5 year deal. Great news!
Drumsofdotl

Agree1 Disagree0

Good news for club and fans bosscielny

Confirmed by?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is this not on arsenal.com?

Paul - Rochester

Agree0 Disagree0

Atlast a player that shows he's loyal to the club- maybe rvp will have this in the back of his minde but i doubt it very much- well kos you was great last season and you learnt from ya mistakes. you n tv5 will be great next season

Agree1 Disagree0

^ Theres plenty of players that have shown loyalty? eg vermaelen wilshere says hes gna spend his whole career here, sagna szscesny rosicky

Agree1 Disagree0

Wtg kos thats what fans want a loyal player

Agree1 Disagree0

BOSSCIELNEY, this guy is gonna be a legend, put a statue of him outside the Emirates already!

Aaron ramsey

Aaron ramsey will not be leaving the emirates this summer and
Will be givin an improved contract if he is able to regain his form
At the olympics.

Za gooner

Believable26 Unbelievable13

I highly doubt his Olympics form will be the deciding factor.

Ypsigooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Olympics form? Poor guys got no chance with that team if tonights showing is anything to go by...

Agree0 Disagree0

Unlikely though really isn't it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep up his form WHAT FORM!!

arsene wenger wants 30 million for rvp
sussex gooner

Believable34 Unbelievable19

Did you really think that's news u mug?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit high shud be 25mil

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent, now can you tell me what the lottery numbers for yesterday were?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearing its 20m, city bid 15m, man u 13m, juve 8m...
wont sell for less than 20m

Agree0 Disagree0

Should be 25? if we got anything over 15 a would say thats a good deal

Agree0 Disagree0

So do I but it is not going to happen. As soon as anyone gets close to 20m then he will go. If it is Juventus bidding then Wenger will accept even slightly less than that.

ADL.

Agree0 Disagree0

He also wants 30 million for the so called deadwood players. But any player is only worth what other teams are willing to pay. You take the biggest profit and make a sale. But in are case the other teams won't match the wage we pay so the deal don't happen
Buckleb

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd sell him for £24m, minimum

Agree0 Disagree0

Rvp to be replaced and maybe even swapped for Benzema watch this space

Agree0 Disagree0

£25million minimum, anything less and let him rot in the reserves.

When will somebody at the Emirates take a firm line with Arshavin,Bendtner and even Squillacci. We seem to spend weeks waiting on a club coming forward that suits them.
Tell them in no uncertain terms they are not part of any plans for next season, wont be named in any European or PL squad and will sit in the stand rather than any loan deal being accepted.
Give them a choice viz;-
Leave the club or leave the game. Yes it will cost us wages, but it might concentrate a few minds.

Believable28 Unbelievable9

To be fair, we're desparately trying to sell Squillaci but no one wants him.

Bendtner has been in talks with numerous clubs and will leave this summer on a permanent deal.

Arshavin is currently wanted by both Zenit and Al-Sadd and most probably will be sold too.

Stezza.

Agree1 Disagree0

Bit harsh on the players, Im pretty sure their looking for new clubs along with their agents, it takes alot of time though.

Agree1 Disagree0

100% agree, we seem too preoccupied with what they want instead of whats best for the club!

Agree0 Disagree1

I think that sounds good but I'm sure the club are being productive! According to Asharvin's agent there have been plenty of offers but Asharvin wants to be paid highly.

Squid is also in talks with clubs.

Don't be so negative!

Sally

Agree1 Disagree0

Moron

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope Bendtner is still given a chance to impress.

Agree1 Disagree0

Totally agree. Whilst I appreciate it is difficult to move people on. No chance of playing would certainly focus a few minds.
GG

Agree0 Disagree0

And how would that effect their colleagues and friends at the club?
Threaetning our players should never be the answer.

CLewis

Agree1 Disagree0

What you going on about mate? they're all on the way out it seems? don't know what the problem is, spouting off like that

Agree1 Disagree0

You'r a moron. agree 100% with stezza. due to current economic climate its no so easy to offload players. summer has just started and there is PLENTY of time to let them go. Arshavin is poised to go back to zenit. Bendtner is negotiating with a host of clubs. give their agents (not even them) a little time to finalise those deals. BTW. I'm sure all arsha, bentrner and squallaci understand very well they will not play for arsenal next season (though if we can't find a suitable striker to buy why not leave bendtner in and give him another chance, he's still young - not that i like him but still...)
Polish Gunner

Agree1 Disagree0

Pretty pointless post.everyone knows they are for sale but if u seen there value and wage demands would u bother taking a punt ob them?

Agree0 Disagree0

They have legal contracts you muppet and are on high wages. If Arsenal could have moved them on then they would have gone.

Agree1 Disagree0

I personally hope we keep Bendtner if we,re to lose RVP , he could be very useful if we are not in the market for another striker. He,s a bighead we all know , but i think he needs handling in the right way

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster; reality check, apply your logic to personal circumstances. You want to change job but all that is available is a job in Turkey and another in Russia and you have to take a pay cut. In the mean time you can see out your contract as a millionaire and count paper clips. No brainer really!

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Jul 2012 15:55:23
Guys, let's be down to the ground. I personally don't expect any big names honestly. AW philosophy is proved in the last 16 years, it will be the same again. The RVP replacement is done. We do need depth in the midfield, but i rather believe that either he will promote someone from the B team, or if he buys someone who will be young, prospective. May i be wrong but look at the facts and you will agree with me. THe only thing right now is to hope that the players will stick together and not get the start from last year

Macedonian GOONER

Believable18 Unbelievable22

Yep, you're spot on mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow, someone speaking with a bit of sense and realism

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said, it will be frimpong n coquelin not m'vila, the ox n lansbury not gotze or ganzo. rvp gone, giroud his replacement if not podolski, maybe even theo if he signs and bartley at the back not sakho with ryo not carzola.I wish we'd buy just one but this is wenger.
Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

How has wenger been proved right in the last 7 seasons we've won nothing and sold all our best players

Remar28

Agree0 Disagree1

Said something like this 2 days ago but for some reason wasn't posted.. Thanks ed

Agree0 Disagree0

You should post this every time someone says we'll spend £50 on 3 players. Spot on

Agree0 Disagree0

One of the most realistic posts on this site! This has been, and will be for a while to come, the way Arsenal will operate. shame the club just dont come out and own up to it and avoid the fans being let down year after year.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the price is right for a big name then he will spend. Look at Arshavin before he joined he was one of the best players at Euro 2008 with a lot of big clubs vying for his signature yet Wenger forked out £15 million for his signature and at the time Arshavin was considered a big name. So if Wenger feels like the asking price matches a players performance then he will spend.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think that most of the people that post stupid rumors on this site know deep down that what your saying is true, we just don't want to admit it. It will be the same as every year we will just sell our best players and bring in a replacement with promise but no experience.........wonder why we've stopped competing for the tittles.

Monaco Gooner

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah wenger is right buy players devlope them and sell them when there at there best and win no trophies.suprised every club hasnt took this approach ha

Agree0 Disagree1

Not the most optimistic post I've ever seen though I have felt that way in every transfer window prior to this one. Think we will see 2 signings and will have a stronger squad than last year.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think anyone good would even want to join the club

Guess you guys remember when i posted here that Robin Van Persie is not going to the Asian tours...now trust me again..The Arsenal Football Club will start with a better squad this season than the last one..ther WILL be more exciting players In-coming..TOUCHWOOD..it will result a better season too :-)

Believable28 Unbelievable17

How can we remember who you are, when you don't sign your post.

Agree0 Disagree0

Go on then, who do you expect to coming in?

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely, last season we finished with more points & a place higher than the season before when Clichy, Fabregas & Nasri were at the club. This season we have already signed 2 international strikers & will hopefully have Wilshere & Abu Diaby back.

Agree1 Disagree0

Remember who? You didn't sign off numb nuts!

StEvE

Agree0 Disagree0

You are just a melt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay, Ms. Cleo. Thank you for telling us how things will play out with incredibly vague 50/50 predictions that are supposed to have weight because you made the obvious call that RvP wouldn't go to Asia.

Start season with better or worse squad?
*Ms. Cleo chooses better.

End season with better or worse result?
*Ms. Cleo chooses better.

i have close ties with bacary sagna, and he told me Van persie wanted to play for barca or real madrid or juve. also joe allen from swansea has been targeted along with ganso.

imo we should swap rvp with dzeko or berbatov

Believable16 Unbelievable36

You probably don't even know his Wife's name....

Dzeko + money - yes, Berbatov in any case - no

I read the first 6 words and didnt bother with the rest, please, dont post any more nonsense
AYoungGunner

Agree0 Disagree0

If thats what he wanted then he should have been brave enough to say, not wait until the last year of his contract then try and hold the club to ransom.
i like AFC stance, heres out price - match it or no sale

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant believe people like N have the cheek to comment on this with the bs you post!

Agree0 Disagree0

Allen is going to Liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

Couple things mate. Name my "BS" and no the "Big News" one doesn't count as I wasn't claiming that I said that's what I heard. Also at least I sign off with my name on posts.

Agree0 Disagree0

All rubbish... And why the hell would you want Berba + Allen is coming to Liverpool...

Arsenal are likely to sign Santi Cazorla

Believable23 Unbelievable4

Likely seems a bit strong of a word, but it is a possibility. The fact that Malaga is undergoing severe financial trouble and their players haven't received up to 40% of their wages might be used to our advantage in lowering the transfer fee. We'll see what happens

Agree0 Disagree0

Regarding cazorla i wanted to ask

how is it with his current 'ownership'?
cause because of that financial troubles of malaga and some missing payment to former employers (Villareal) ... is Cazorla fully and properly owned by Malaga or is Villareal still involved somehow?

asyd

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard the same about him going to tottenham so who knows would be great along with a cdm, cb, lb and a striker to replace rvp llorente, lewandowski or jovetic please and jovetic could be lured on 45,000 a week so we can afford that

Agree0 Disagree0

It was covered on arseblog, us and tottenham are chasing him.

Brazilian midfield star Ganso is due to be lining up for Brazil in this year™s 2012 London Olympics and reportedly he is a transfer target for Arsenal™s

Al

Believable22 Unbelievable3

Mate your well informed, just a couple of weeks to late though!

Agree0 Disagree0

He's also valued at £45m not sure if we will pay that, even if we got near £100m for all the players we don't want. We can't even pay the £5m asking price for the kid from Caen.

Agree0 Disagree0

There not Wenger wont pay that much

Agree0 Disagree0

To the £45m poster, apparently (not sure if it's legitimacy) Santis adds willing to sell him to the highest bidder, as they are struggling to keep Neymar, they shut down their women's team and some other projects, so they could offer Neymar a bumper deal, Ganso feels that he deserves similar treatment, and santos haven't provided it, so he wants to leave santos, and as they need the money, they are reluctantly ready to sell him.

If you'd of asked me where he was going last year, it was AC Milan, but they've just sold their two best players as they need money, Mamchester united are after Lucas Moura, Chelsea are going for Oscar (who we apparently wanted, but bailed as soon as Chelsea confirmed interest) and man city can buy whoever, Barca won't take him, their midfield is packed, Madrid won't take him for similar reasons, and inter can't afford him.

Right now, if our interest is legitimate, I'd say we've a good a chance as any, even though I'd back Porto with a shout.

Llorente is to sign tomorrow...

3 year deal. Arsenal to offer 15 million + bendtner.

Believable19 Unbelievable8

Considering athletico only purchase/have basque players - its not really gonna happen is it.....

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be wicked

Agree0 Disagree0

Were did you hear that? From Malaga gooner ha or is it NW

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true hurrrrrayyyyyy

Agree0 Disagree0

Bilbao only sign players from the Basque region! Therefore you have clearly just made this up

Agree0 Disagree0

Source?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's to sign tomorrow but Arsenal are to offer 15mil + Bedtner?? how can he sign if the offer hasnt been made yet?

Rob

Agree0 Disagree0

No, he's not. He's 100 percent not. It won't happen. He will not be arriving. How else can I put this?.........

Agree0 Disagree0

First reply is dead on, Bilbao only employ players with basque heritage, amoborieta, their centreback plays for a south American nation, I think it's Venezuela (I usually do things by knowledge, not by Wikipedia, do sorry if I got the nation wrong!)
But that's due to dual nationality on his mothers side (I think) he is the only player in their squad who is invoked with another country.

Please, if you make stuff up, use your head and make it credible.

D

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought they were a pretty strict Basque club.

In Arsene I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance. Have u got proof? Joke of the day!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well they clearly will break the basque rule to get the best striker in the world

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Bendtner does like to "Basque" in his own perceived greatness! Is that enough? Ok, I'll get me coat...

Agree1 Disagree0

For a start Llorente plays for Bilbao and they can only play Basque plays meaning Bendtner would not be part of any deal!

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if Athletic didn't have policy of only playing Basques, offering Bendtner would add nothing to the deal. It would be like saying "I'll give you 15 million quid plus an old copy of Woman's Weekly from July 1985".

Agree1 Disagree0

So! hes about to sign tomorrow, even though we are yet "to offer" a price!

yeah good one

RVP's fate will be known by the end of today. Fernando Llorente is lined up as replacement. Jose Rodriguez to sign with in 24 hr.

Ug Gooner...

Believable10 Unbelievable28

Rodriguez will sign but i doubt it will be in 24hr

Agree0 Disagree0

As a fan i would love it if Fernado .L came to the club he would be a fantastic replacment a prober finisher.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it Jose Rodriguez or Jese Rodriguez? We seem to have been linked with both at some point.

Stezza.

Agree0 Disagree0

This story seems to drag on & on. Too many Rumours to believe which one is true. Do u really think Wenger will spend that large amount of money. This RVP issue must come to an end. Prefer Wenger to concentrate on the defence & bring in a new centre back!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jese rodriguez not jose rodriguez

Arsenal are apparently sending a scout to watch Ganso when he plays for Brazil against GB, source mail
Also we are going to try and sign Llorente if RVP goes and in depth talks have been held about signing him also Lewandowski and Jovetic have been discussed source also mail

Ed you got any news on these happening?

Believable15 Unbelievable21

I would love llorente or lewandowski to come in but i just can't see wenger bringing another front man in unless we end up shifting chamakh and bendtner as well.we really need to get things moving on the transfer front.if he isnt signing a new deal then let's get him out of here asap

Agree0 Disagree0

Unless there's some late friendly lined up against Brazil then there's no guarantee GB will play Brazil in the olympics. In fact I'm pretty sure GB can only meet Brazil in the semi-finals at the earliest.

Source - my head (I'm going to see the quarter final in Cardiff).

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger and Gazidis were watching Brazil train as they are using London Colney - not so much sending a scout but having a gander for yourself. Plus they could have been watching anyone really. Does anyone know if Paulinho is in the Olympic squad?

Agree0 Disagree0

The mail

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate seriously you need to keep up it is clear across all sports websites that Team GB's first football match is a friendly tonight against Brazil at the Riverside. Hence why Stuart Pearce has been stating he is worried about this friendly!

Agree0 Disagree0

The Mail's article is cobbled together from rumours posted here over the last few days. Also, any self-respecting journo/Arsenal fan would know that the Brazil squad is based at Colney and they are playing Team GB at the Emirates in an Olympic warm up game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are they not playing a friendly at the riverside tonight?

There is a friendly between team gb and brazil tonight

Hearing M'villa stall is due to wage demand he feels he should be on 90k rising to 100k with bonuses arsenal feel it should be more around the 80k moving to 90k with bonuses both parties feel they can meet in the middle but neither are happy at the 90k to 95k mark deal will defiantly happen as both want it too just who folds first

Also m'villa representatives are demanding some crazy image bonuses which Ivan is refusing but they have backed down as long as his basic wage demands are met.

Sounds really promising as both parties defiantly want it to happen just usually buisness negotiations holding things up

My understanding is that there is a verbal agreement with Rennes for a fee of 13m euros raising to 15m with appearance bonuses this works out about 10m sterling which Rennes aren't happy with but see it as a starting point and are willing negotiate if Arsenal are

Mate i want some real information... if your so excite go for a bash

real goon

Agree0 Disagree0

Finally, what seems like a legit rumour. Hope this really happens, but I won't lose sleep over it. Arsenal need to get some blokes quick

Agree0 Disagree0

I really hope this does happen, he would add the physicality we lack in the midfield and would cover Song well when he pushes forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really don't know whether to believe you or not!
Jersey boi

Agree0 Disagree0

Right there, are the words of a true child. ^

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

Defiantly....

Agree0 Disagree0

Since I found out that Song will be gone for ACON (assuming they qualify) as will perhaps Frimpong - and due to our 'good' luck Coquelin will be injured - we need M'Vila more than we think. Otherwise Jan/Feb without any 'real' DM, remember how we did without any 'real' Full Back's - I don't want to see that happen again!

Bentschke

Agree0 Disagree0

90 - 95 is hardly in the middle.

Agree0 Disagree0

So basically your saying that M'villa will collect more in wages than Walcott, Song, Wilshere, Giroud, Vermaelen, Kozzer etc,... yeah that makes perfect sense!

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting stuff and i hope that you are right !

What is your source of this precise information ?

Agree0 Disagree0

No acon this season my friend. It's next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I keep hearing we are going to sign M'villa and I believe we may be in talks but I cannot help but think there are better options for us, particularly, Capoue - my main problem with M'villa is whether he will settle in London and play for the team or whether he is coming to a big playground with all it's associated distractions.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mvila is barely making over 25K a week at rennes to deman 80k is crazy.

look at giroud. he was on 25k a week, we signed him up and paid him 45k a week rising to 60k.

Mvila is not going to get 80k from league 1 to the EPL in year 1.

Just so you know only attacking players can command a very high initial salary, it also depends on the club. its unlikely that arsenal would entertain him dictating terms. he already has a attitude issue. him trying to squeeze money out of them means they will tell him to bugger off.

Lakerville

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be typical Arsenal, quibling over a couple of thousand.

Agree0 Disagree0

ACON IS this season. Its 2 years in a row so it can be alligned to the same season as Euros going forward

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry maybe i missed something here but surely Rennes would not allow M'villa to actually talk to Arsenal unless a bid is actually accepted otherwise is that not classed as Tapping up a player? So either this is all utter nonsense or I have missed the bigger picture please feel free to enlighten me.

Gavsta

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly; it is definitely. Not defiantly. Secondly, this is entirely incorrect. We wouldn't entertain the idea of signing him on a 90k p/w contract. The delay may be due to wage demands but we won't sign him if he wants that sort of money. Thirdly, the deal is £17.7m.

Agree0 Disagree0

We aren't even trying to sign him anymore!! The reason there's a delay is cause it's not happening!

Agree0 Disagree0
