Higuain prefers arsenal to Napoli and his brother said the deal is almost finalised. the striker will join the full squad after the asia tour.

Believable43 Unbelievable75

Please not another rumour about higuin, I think its time to put this to bed and just play the waiting game, or better still just forget it and hope for a nice suprise, either way this rumour has run its course and its just now got boring, its as boring as watching moyes do an interview and that is very boring.

Agree12 Disagree0

Tamikonelf its almost over mate

According to Corrier Del Sport Napoli have agreed 35mEuro deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha, I'm with tamikonelf. I love how his post bought on yet another rumor though.

Unless it's on the arsenal site or tv sport, I'm going to class it as another M'Vila rumor and treat it with the same scepticism.

Fingers crossed it happens, but right now, another ridiculous link from an unknown tv station in Spain, Brazil or Italy will be utter rubbish.

and according to the daily mail the opposite is true and napoli have refused to pay. in other the news cesc is desperate to go to man u, is definitely staying at barca and will only come back to england for arsenal. suarez is on his way but also higuain is being offered to liverpool and suarez is actually on his way to madrid. rooney would prefer arsenal, rooney is not for sale and rooney is a done deal for chelsea. all from proper paid sports journalists rather than half a friend of a friend on twitter, media outlets just making anything up often fed by clubs and agents with other agendas mean that absolutely nothing is worth believing at the moment

Arsenal have made an enquiry for Iker Muniain

Believable47 Unbelievable38

I wish this was true, bets its not though x

Agree0 Disagree0

Who? Oh look, another unknown!

Agree0 Disagree0

You really don't know who Muniain is? Not much of a football fan then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love this to be true, but suspect it's not. Why would we go for proven talent when we could go for kids from Ligue Deux who MIGHT turn out to be half decent players in a few years time (at which point we'll flog them to our rivals).

Agree0 Disagree0

Apologies beforehand for predicting that Higuain will be ours, but if what i'm about to say ends up happenning I will be wrong, although that's not to say the previous information given was wrong, because if the following deal does not materialise higuain will be our striker next season. Luis Suarez has made it clear to his representatives, liverpool, and most importantly arsenal where he wants to be playing next season. Arsenal have now finally put forward 40million. Expect some drastic changes in this saga next week. Exciting times ahead fellow gunners, get ready to get down the armoury to get your suarez shirt very shortly. Glory ahead me thinks.

Believable37 Unbelievable49

To be fair higuian was about to happen, until RM changed the goal posts- that wasn't your fault!

Agree2 Disagree0

There is an awful smell of malaga

Agree1 Disagree1

If he comes then it will be a while before he plays as he has a ban to serve first for biting!. do we really need this type of player and all his baggage?

Agree0 Disagree1

My oh my. I'm no Arsenal fan, but if I was, I'd be gutted to have somebody like Suarez in my team (obviously not for football reasons). He drags the image of teams down! LFC stupidly stood besides him at bad times only for him to want out.

Anyway good luck in the forthcoming season, and nice to see your manager spending big again!

Fred the red

Agree2 Disagree0

Wasters! we want winners and he is a winner Suarez is the man to finish off all the moves we waste pay what ever Liverpool want!

Agree1 Disagree0

We won't sign suarez I just can't see us spending that anount of money on one player when we have been so tight for years.

Agree0 Disagree1

He can play, just not in the league while banned. CL is fine

Igloo

Agree0 Disagree0

We will sign Suarez

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone who thinks Wenger will part with £40 million for any player needs a serious reality check. He's nothing if not a creature of habit, so at exactly what point in the last x many years has he given even the slightest hint that he would splash that kind of money around for one player (or even several players). Here's a rumour that's at least credible: Copper wire was invented by Wenger and Gazidis fighting over a penny.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a hope I'd tarnish my brand new kit with his name. Although he won't sign so don't need to worry

Agree0 Disagree0

When's he said he'll splash that kinda money? When we were linked with hazard I believe, now when was the board willing to part with that money, that's the real question.

Wenger is lining up a 10mill bid for Cabaye and will use Chamakh as a sweetener in the deal.

BuryGooner.

Believable22 Unbelievable61

Are u flipping kiddin me!

Agree2 Disagree1

Chamak a sweetner? Have u seen him play?

Agree4 Disagree0

Theres nothing sweet about Chamakh, Pardew is too clever to want him.

Agree2 Disagree0

"Sweetener"?
I feel a bitter taste to this rumour

Agree3 Disagree0

20 Jul 2013 19:58:50
The sweetener being that we promise to play Chamakh against them?

Agree1 Disagree0

1. We have enough nippy little midfielders.
2. You can't just palm your duds on to another team to get a decent player.

Agree1 Disagree0

No way! If your going to post a rumor at least make it believable. 10mil plus chamakh! Pardew wouldn't take him if we even offered Newcastle 100k to take him from us. Clown!! Wtf

Agree2 Disagree0

If we want the player don't offer Chamakh and we should be fine!

Agree0 Disagree0

We have no need for Cabaye we have Wilshere and Cazorla and Arteta who are all better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew won't waste his time on chamack. He's going for gomis

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew has no say on transfers. That is up to the rather modest Joe Kinnear, looks like Chamakh is going then.

update

Arsenal are in discussions with the representatives of Julio Cesar and hope to confirm the signing on Monday. Wages are still being negotiated and settling a fee with QPR shouldn't be a problem. expected to break on sky tomorrow

Arsenal should be in discussions with Cesc representatives & fast or he is going to United.

Never mind QPR players!

Agree0 Disagree4

Cesc doesn't want to move to Arsenal. That's why there have been no approaches from the Gunners. Forget Fabregas. He is part of the clubs history

Agree2 Disagree1

Can't see us announcing it on the same day as our game against ng8, but what do I know

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2013 18:17:38
To the first reply we do not need to chase fabregas, we have first refusal so if barca accept an offer of say for example £30m it is in his contract that they have to offer him to us first for the accepted amount. so all we have to do is say yes and he is ours and not uniteds if they decide to sell him so there is no need for us to chase him. United are actually doing us a favour by chasing him because if they decide to sell, wenger will not say no to having fabregas back and he will not say no to us if baca decide he is surplace, however I expect him to be a baca player next season. I don't expect this to happen but if baca sell fabregas for £30 and then we get suarez for £40 then actually go over our budget by a couple of mil and get cesar I would love to see the posts about wenger then and will be sooooo looking forward to next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Last poster correct in first refusal offer however if fabregas decides would rather go man u then he can do. there's nothing in the clause that says he has to sign. It just gives arsenal the option to talk to player. They can't force him to sign. Hopefully like all I hope he would pick us but don't live in the ideal world ov he's arsenal thru and thru. Man u have unbelievable pulling power as we found out with can persie. Fingers crossed fab comes home

i must say when I first heard about these suarez rumours I thought no way but now cautiously optimistic. honestly he'd be a perfect fit and I used to think we should sign him but in a million years we won't. now it seems more likely though.

pretty confident 40m would do the trick. liverpool seem to demand more but they're not going to get much more. and the other option for them is to keep him. and keeping a player with suarez's mentality against his own will is, well, a frightening thought!

some are concerned about this "baggage" he has. i'm not. the most concerning part is his ban, but if he signs a 4-5 year contract that ban is really meaningless. imo his reputation doesn't work completely against him. now every defender knows he's not just a fantastic dribbler, a goal scorer and a provider, but he bites too! he makes defender's feel uneasy I can see him starting as a striker, but also as a "winger" (winger like walcott, poldi, ramsey or santi meaning he'll play more centrally than wide) alongside giroud.

Believable27 Unbelievable17

To be honest I'm feeling this one aswell just hope it don't go right to the wire and we drop out again last minute

Agree2 Disagree0

Still think Arsenal will end up with Higuain. This Suarez business is just some sort of mind games with Real Madrid. Selling Higuan to Arsenal will fund Real Madrid's move for Suarez but Arsenal won't pay over the odds for Higuain.

Agree1 Disagree1

Not really a rumour, but I like this post

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Wenger and the fans would be equally happy with either. No mind games, Higuain at one price, Suarez (or Rooney) at another. Any of these will do the job!

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez interest is very real indeed. Wenger will not pay the asking price for higuain when he can get suarez for a couple million more, anmd who is a much better player in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Higuain has had second thoughts about moving to Arsenal. Personally, I don't want Suarez at the gunners. He is obnoxious and a cheat. Don't forget the whole transfer might cost us £70 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not concerned about his baggage either. he's a great player and it outweighs the what-ifs.

Honestly, I prefer Higuain. But i'm happy with either. Both awesome players and will be crucial in the seasons to come.

I would be happy with higuain at £23m however I would not like to see us pay much more for him seeing as he is second choice behind benzima at madrid and they play one up top usually so he is a great second choice striker for them. However I would prefer to have arguably the best striker in the premier league at the moment for an extra £17m, if we got him with the service our midfield can provide he will have a field day for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Since when will liverpool become a feeder club to the biggest feeder club in the league? suarez will move to madrid or stay at lfc. there's an outside chance of bayern or psg. not arsenel!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2013 11:10:06
tv: cesc will only come back to arsenal and real madrid want to do 20mil plus hig for suarez but suarez has said he wants to join arsenal

Believable45 Unbelievable32

Suarez wants to join Madrid! It's his first choice not Arsenal!

is there any truth about bernard to arsenal

Believable36 Unbelievable24

Apparently it was all a hoax. Could be interested still

Agree1 Disagree1

No, mate.

It's just a hoax. Don't expect any major transfers. After all, it's Arsenal FC we are talking about.

Sad, but true.

Agree1 Disagree1

Why are some people so negative? There will be signings soon. I'm not itk but I'm
Sure arsene is doing everything possible

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't expect any major transfers? Well I don't really see Bernard as being a "major transfer"

Agree0 Disagree0

At the fee he comes at he'd better be a major transfer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bernard is highly rated in brazil and he's keeping some established players out of the national team, ok so 20 mill could be seen as a lot for a player his age but he's only going to get better and had a great con fed cup

Just read Suarez is trying to go back on his word of leaving the country to sign with us. Must admit I didn't see that coming and I hope AW cankeep him under control. Also we are after Mata, you didn't read it hear 1st unless you missed the tv gossip column. Not in know just passing s#!t on.

Believable48 Unbelievable23

I personally would 'CHOOSE' Suarez ahead of Rooney every time!

Agree1 Disagree0

Hope this is true, but with the change of barcelona management, there is a chance that fabregas could be bought. and i'd rather go for fabby than mata. just for the sentimental value haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol you couldn't afford mata

Agree0 Disagree1

Couldn't afford mata 70 million to spend would of thought so depends on how mourinho values him don't get me wrong if he let's him go he is mental

Just seen that Bayern Munich are willing to sell Gustavo and that we are going to put in an £8m bid.

Believable41 Unbelievable26

Would cost more than 8 mill

Agree1 Disagree1

2 years left on contract and we have competition. Wolfsburg very keen on the player. I don't think he is our first choice but 12 should be about right.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully

His agent told Gustavo will not leave Bayern. At least not in this summer.

is there any truth in the suarez to arsenal rumours {Ed029's Note - Ed02 says that "Suarez's agents have taken legal advice and will seek to have Arsenal match the clause that allows the player to discuss the transfer with Arsenal as soon as is possible. They will then look to leverage a legal position to stop Liverpool blocking the transfer and will possibly use the £2M due the player as an incentive to facilitate the transfer."

Believable42 Unbelievable14

I'm at that point now that though I wouldn't go out with a drink with him, Suarez signing would be good news. He is quality and no denying that. Still prefer Higuain on every level.

Agree2 Disagree4

I really wish for this to happens, Suarez is a dream. And at 40 mil it is a bargain

Agree1 Disagree1

How can you prefere higuain to Suarez? He gives you loads more, and higuain ain't quick enough in my opinion. Suarez was the best player in the prem last year if it wasn't for his antics.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone seriously believe AFC would fork out £40 million on one player? Suarez is just another in a long list of names that Wenger & Gazidis have been content to let us be linked with in the media in order to fool fans into thinking they are actively pursuing quality players. When nothing comes of this or Higuain transfer, they'll turn round and say "we tried, but. " If they really made that bid of £30 million, why do think they did it? Because they knew it was so far short of Liverpool's valuation of the player, there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell of it being accepted, that's why. Seriously if Liverpool had said "yes", Wenger and Gazidis would have bricked themselves.

Flamengo have confirmed that they have signed Andre Santos.

Thank God. He was more trouble than he was worth.
