Striker is going to be the hardest position for us to strengthen in my opinion.

A lot of other big clubs are also after strikers and there's not that many top quality ones available.

Higuain: would cost a fortune and Chelsea are also chasing him.

Aubamayang: big asking price (60m+) , he also favours a move to Real Madrid so unlikely we'd stand a chance.

Lewandowski: Wanted by Real. Would Bayern even sell? and if they did would he want to come to us?

Benzema: More likely to spend next season playing handball in prison.

Lukaku: Is he really good enough? And for the prices being thrown about is he worth it?

Lacazette: Again, is he good enough? As the Eds have pointed out Lyon are a nightmare to deal with.

Ibra: Huge wages, even bigger ego. Undoubtedly has the quality and the physicality to play in the prem but at his age and with his difficult personality it could be a case of the risks far outweighing the potential rewards.

Alvaro Morata: Big prices being quoted but definitely has the quality and age is on his side.

Lucas Perez: Can he step up to the level required? He's shown he's a top class player but teams will play completely differently against us than they do against Deportivo. His link up play is good and so is his movement off the ball. Any of the Eds have an opinion on him?

Icardi: Not quite reached the level this season as he did in the previous but could be a good addition for sure. I'm still a little sceptical about his ability but would represent a step up in class than Giroud. Inter saying he's not for sale, but based on info the Eds have given out it seems they'd be open to letting him move on.

Cavani: Big wages, big fee and PSG unlikely to let him go now Ibra is leaving.

Bakambu: Can he step up to the level required? Also would he suit our style of play? Marcelino has his team play a vastly different style to our own and it could be a case of the style getting the best out of the player.

OK - this one sounds like its done.

So DM, leader, fighter, tall, can head the ball.

SORTED.

Now.

ST, can score, consistent, fast, shoots from range, scares opposition, moments of magic.

Then.
CB, Composed, experienced, mobile, is not 5'10.

Come on Wenger, one last hurrah!

Hello eds, may u update me on xhaka as the bbc are claiming he's arriving for a medical. Thanks in advance.

{Ed025's Note - apparently he is apex, but nothing is confirmed just yet mate..

In my experience the BBC are as reliable media sources at reporting as solid rumours as they come and tend to give usual media fabricated ones a complete miss.
They scarcely mentioned Benzema to Arsenal last summer so it sounds promising their reporting this.

Do u think he'll be a good signing ed? Also are we looking for an experienced type of Cf of young with potential i. e. morata?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - i do think he will be good apex, young with potential would be my guess on the CF mate..

20 May 2016 20:26:52
Young with potential yet already premier league proven? Lukaku!

Ooops just read my reply about the BBC being as reliable as any one again, obviously I wasn't including this site and the Eds in that statement as I don't consider this site to be part of the media, no disrespect intended to the Eds.

{Ed033's Note - imo, the BBC are classed as propaganda media.

I think lukuku would be a brilliant signing. Ed do u think it could happen. realistcially?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont think you will pay the reported £64m apex, he would certainly score goals with the service he would get at arsenal, but his link up play is not great and hes not that good in the air to be honest mate..i cant see it myself..

Hi Ed's - would you see Wenger being interested in Arda Turan if he was available? I seem to remember us showing interest in the past.

Also, are there any rumours on Mertesacker leaving? I, for one, hope he stays to stop too many senior squad members departing this season. Losing Arteta, Rosicky and Flamini plus Mertesacker would be a huge blow.

{Ed001's Note - I dont know of any chance of a bid for Turan. Surprisingly Tierney of Celtic is of interest though I thought he was a right back and you have plenty of those. Mertesacker is not set to move as things stand.}

I thought Tierney was a left back, Ed001?
