On another not guys who's seen the new squad numbers. Cech now number 1. Bellerin 2. Elneny 4 and xhaka 34. Bit concerned Cech being number 1. Thought that might be left for a new gk.

Ornstien has spoken, Emery is the new Arsenal manager.
He has managed egos with PSG and has won titles in Europe with Seville, hopefully he can bring that kind of winning mentality to us!
Hopefully everyone gets behind him and here's to the post Wenger era, may it be a prosperous one.

We can all be hopeful that we have a current coach, that has great knowledge and experience. Not on my list because he wasn't definitely available but when he was he had to be given at least consideration. Safe appointment for me, initially.

Rumours that Arteta will come in as his Number 2 also. Emery was not really on anybody's radar really until these last couple of days, maybe the board finally say some sense not to give the head role to Arteta on his own without any experience behind him. Emery Was successful at Seville in particular with limited funds, is maybe a better fit football style wise than others mentioned just hope he can drill some good defence into us aswell.

I'm in limbo with the decision to be honest, he doesn't speak fluent English, has seen a PSG side with unlimited funds lose the league to Monaco and oversaw the Barcelona comeback in the CL, however, like I say, I'm going to back him from the start and hopefully it's a match made in Heaven.

I like the fit. Good experience and record. Teams like to play football but what I like is that he likes a good holding midfielder. Kondogbia, N, Zonzi, Krychowiak (when he was half decent) . Kondogbia could be a shout. Decent season at Valencia on loan.

poor decision. lost the league to monaco and will always be remembered for that Barcelona comeback.
Was average at valencia too but decent at sevilla though in two of those three europa league finals he really got lucky against benfica and liverpool. In his last season at sevilla where they finished 7th, he did not win even a single away game (reminds you of someone? )
Lacks charisma too but is an obsessive video analyst. so he might do a slight improvement on wenger but i don't expect anything drastic. Infact i am afraid we will slid further into mediocrity. Arsenal should have been bold and gone for arteta since the other good candidates like allegri were not available.
{Ed025's Note - why not just give the guy a chance punani?, arsenal is a different kettle of fish mate but slagging him off before a ball has been kicked is not going to help anybody...especially arsenal..

Will give him a chance mate but his work at PSG was a massive under-achievement and he couldn't exert his authority. Players were dictating to him when it should have been the other way round. I have my doubts but will get behind the team. I'll be sincere it is an appointment that doesn't excite me. He is a B-list manager at best.

Punani just accept we didn't get Tuchel or Nanglesman as you hoped but don't let your disappointment cloud you opinion of who we did get.
Be open to being wrong about him until he actually gives you reason to doubt him in his Arsenal career.

Hello everyone I get the feeling that the longer the uncertainty goes on the more I get to feel its not Arteta. There is some other names mentioned but at the moment pigs ear comes to mind quicker than any name that comes up.

You can say that again. It's never that easy with Arsenal- the rumours are in overdrive and who we actually get is always completely out of nowhere.
