Arsenal have enquired about adam johnson to replace walcott. johnson is keen, but man city wanna keep him.

Rog da dodge

Believable9 Unbelievable33

Love to but can't see it happening

Agree0 Disagree0

So what if they want to keep him we wanted to keep Nasri. Bout ttime they got a taste of their own medicine.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but they have muscle to flex, financial, ambition great playing squad. We have none of these at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt want him - way overrated in my book. Plus wouldnt fit into the style we play, no need for out and out wingers.

Rob G

Agree0 Disagree0

So Walcott is going to Chavs.

With Sturridge coming the other way.

Like for like positional exchange...

Yet apparently we're looking to "replace Walcott w/ Johnson" ?

This makes no sense Rog.

Believable28 Unbelievable17

just loved lavezzi's performance yesterday. i've seen him play against city and chelsea both now and i have to say i like him a lot. reminds me of arshavin at his best - quick, goes easily past defenders, has classy passes and can score. i'd take him to arsenal any day but can't see it happening.

actually i'd take any of lavezzi, cavani, hamsik, inler and gargano to our fisrt XI in an instant. napoli has done a superb job to get these gems together.

Believable25 Unbelievable9

Don't forget they also have goran pandev and eduardo vargas! they hav a great future

Agree0 Disagree0

Lavessi is twice the player arshavin ever was, his work rate itsself surpasses arshavin in any shape or form, im afraid we have more chance of getting Messi than him though!! any epl team that have napolis fron three would win the league, well any of the top teams

Agree0 Disagree0

If Van Persie was to go for 30-40 Million and we get rid of all the crap gathered together at Arsenal I think a bid of 90 Million for all 3 of Hamsik, Lavezzi and Cavani would be in order. Just imagine having them 3 as our front 3...Certainly would be a dream come true.

Usmanov get ur cheque book out LOL!

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree 100% lavezzi is class and would be amazing at arsenal but I'm also a big fa of cavani and Hamsik

Greg

Agree0 Disagree0

Maggio is a decent looking player for them aswell i think
big dickey

Agree0 Disagree0

We would only get 25million for van persie no more, he'll be 29 in august and has 1 year left on his deal, unless he signs a new contract, which he wont

Targets:

Jan Vertonghen (Ajax)
Olivier Giroud (Montpellier)
Junior Hoilett (Blackburn Rovers)
Matias Suarez (Anderlecht)
Youssef Msakni (Esperance Tunis)
Luke Shaw (Southampton)

1 of Eden Hazard (Lille), Mario Gotze (Borussia Dortmund) or Lukas Podolski (FC Koln)

Believable24 Unbelievable27

Re Vertonghen - not sure why he keeps popping up. We have 3 established centre backs in Vermaelen/Kos/Mert and either average or young back ups. I dont see us spending any of our limited budget on replacements.

And before people say he can play left back or defensive midfield - sure - so can i, but why not spend the money iot would take to get him on proper left backs or defensive midfielders? In conclusion - he definately wont join

Rob G

Agree0 Disagree0

Plat the two Belgians at centre back, Kos to play the anchor role in midfield, he can do this really well, he can tackle, pass well, and bring the ball out of defence really well. Song, who has no pace, bad judgement and commits really stupid tackles, and thinks he is an attacking player can then be dropped to where he should be with his limited ability,a squad place !

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree qwith you about Song who is overated, like the idea of TV and JV and Kos as the dm

Agree0 Disagree0

Podolski and Suarez will probably be what we end up with as Hazard & Gotze are likely to be out of our range for two reasons. Champions league football and transfer budget.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only a couple of them we could realistically get, unless arsenal throw BIG money and stipulate to the players they can leave if we dont qualify for champions league end of 2012-13 season

Agree0 Disagree0

Rob g - glad someone is talking sense!

No need for Vertoghen unless the plan is to make him or Vermaelen a permanent LB.

Personally, I am not a fan of Gibbs, so I am happy for us to be a real LBs, with santos as back up.

That said, getting more creativity into our midfield and another attack have to be priorities.

It is being reported that Chelsea are looking into the possibility of swapping Daniel Sturridge for Theo Walcott In the summer

Source (The Sun)

If this is true, i think Gunners should go for it. Sturridge can score :)

Believable30 Unbelievable21

Chelsea would be mad, unless they got 10m on top!

Agree0 Disagree0

This is clearly nonsense - Sturridge has been one of Chelsea's few good performers this year. If it's true we should bite their hand off!
Drumsofdotl {Ed001's Note - if that's true, why are the Chelsea fans constantly moaning about him and how poor he has played?}
