What do you guys think is going to happen with zalalem (spelling). Could he replicate fab and play at 16 or is he likely to go on loan, hopefully to a premier league club

Believable50 Unbelievable20

I actually don't want him to go on loan. My reason behind this is because he is so young I think that he will be very impressionable. Sending him to another club so early could completely change his play. So I think Arsenal need to keep hold of him for a few more years in the reserve team and then promote him to the first team whens he's 18/19

Agree0 Disagree0

Knowing Arsene history for promoting young talent and NOT spending - remember his quote" We make superstars we don't buy them" end quote - do not be surprise to see Gnarby - on the flanks - Zelahelm - in the middle and Miquel - in defence - all promoted to the seniors this season.

I can see Frimpong been sold, along with Chamack and Bentner

Park and Ryo on loan and Gervinho given another chance to prove himself, especially if the move for Higuian OR Suarez dose not come off

Sammy Nelson, the greatest left back

Agree2 Disagree0

He's quality. Anyone who says otherwise just hasn't seen him play. However, Cesc was exceptional and was surrounded by stars too.

Zelalem is not Cesc, and we are not Arsenal of old. Because of that, I think he should be used sparingly this season and eased in.

Agree1 Disagree0

He's very good but don't forget he's playing against weaker opposition and just on pre-season. But he defo has bags of potential and already shows some good quality on the ball.

Agree0 Disagree0

See tbh am sick of this. Am watching the premier league years on tv 07/08 we fell away that year because what happened to Eduardo. Since then am sick of this transfer policy its b*******. Fed up with rumours running around. The past few year we have bought mertesacker, giroud, podolski even gervinho they are average squad players its beyond a joke. Arsene if h love the arsenal love everyone on this site spend the money for top quality

Agree0 Disagree2

My opinion, he won't trouble the first team with his presence - stop hyping up kids to be our saviours they won't be. Sure he might get the odd meaningless (in Wengers eyes) cup game but that's it. Nor would he be ready to go on loan for a season.

Agree0 Disagree1

The fact is this is the perfect time to take over, he has a number of young players cooking up. He has a number of young players with a few experienced players in the team. I think he needs to buy players just a couple of major signings, players that will lift the experienced but enhance the young players game, cesc would be perfect but that's not going to happen but that calibre of player is what we need. Buy a captain.
All these rumours and none will happen until afc are back from pre season it's at simple.
Though I would love to think that deals already have been made and there just giving there respective clubs time to replace those we've signed but this is arsenal and its not likely.

wenger now has 48hours to make up his mind go all out for saurez and hope madrid don't come in for him or sign hig (who wants to come)

Believable20 Unbelievable46

Why does he have 48 hours?

Agree1 Disagree0

Because Higuain has asked for 48hrs to consider the alleged offer from Napoli.

Me reading between the lines is, there is no offer and it's a ploy to encourage Wenger to bid again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez is keen to come to arsenal and it looks impossible to sign higuin with napolis bid being accepted {Ed030's Note - Suarez prefers a move to Real Madrid,As good a player as he is would you want someone like him at Arsenal?,His reason behind wanting to leave Liverpool where to get out of England so I doubt he will leave for Arsenal,Just an opinion however. }

Agree0 Disagree0

Cos that how long hig has to make up his mind on weather to join napoli or not I think he hopen we up our bid for him

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't get either suarez to madrid wi higuain part ex

Agree0 Disagree0

As I said yesterday Arsenal will not be signing Suarez unless you pay John Henry's price and that is pretty hefty. You would do better to move on to other targets. It would be best to move on and miss out on the heartache of another failed attempt to sign a big name.

Tommy Gunn

Agree0 Disagree1

Hi am a liverpool fan just wanted to see what u guys thought on suarez I would be happy for suarez to go only at the price he is worth he is one of the top 5 players in the world in my opinion an is worth 55m in my spurs value bale at 80m an suarez is an all round better player arsenal would be title contenders again with this signing so should pay the money or lose out your not going to get world class players for cheap an I could assure you it would be 50m well spent

Agree0 Disagree0

I watched that last night.

eddie murphy is the man!

great film.

Hey ed030 hope your well, thanks for your thoughts however although yes you are right suarez did say he wanted to leave england, I believe that was a ploy to manipulate a move for a champions league team to come in for him and he said to leave england so he did not look so bad to the liverpool fans who have been so good to him if he did go. I think if a bid was accepted by liverpool he would jump at a chance to play for arsenal or chelsea and city at that too if they went for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Napoli will buy Higuain and Real madrid will use the money to buy Suarez. Arsenal left empty handed.

Agree0 Disagree0

RVP said he wouldn't play for another Prem team about 2yrs ago - players always talk rubbish
Suarez would come< Liverpool cold wet northern and nowhere to spend your money > London ok weather lots of places to spend money and guaranteed champs football

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez is a world class player, if you think different you don't know your football but his attitude is far from world class, that's what drops his prices. 40m max bid. If Liverpool think they will get more its not going to happen, not even R Madrid will pay that. So to all the Liverpool fans that think his worth the same as Bale lol WAKE UP. {Ed052's Note - well, Arsenal have already bid more than your 'MAX' price. I don't think any Liverpool fans think he is worth as much as Bale is}

as I posted earlier bernard will not be joining arsenal now wenger just confirmed that when asked he said thoose reports are not true our main target is saurez but if no breakthrough then will be back in for hig 48 hours are now crucial

Believable51 Unbelievable27

Wenger is always full of bob he's said we wouldn't sell cesc and nasri and we did.

Agree3 Disagree0

A week before Cazorla signed he said he had never heard of him. oh Arsene and your mind games.

Agree2 Disagree0

He also said no to Podolski and then he sign 10 days later

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 16:20:30
Arsene also said we were never in for Arteta and he signed shortly after.

Agree1 Disagree0

As good as bernard may be we don't need another attacking mid we need a world class striker and a dcm

Agree1 Disagree2

Wenger told that to John Cross but Wenger would never tell anyone his transfer plans.

Agree1 Disagree0

You may all be right, but the guy who posted this is clearly in the know.

Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it true that Ivan (the terrible) is on holiday? If he is then it's a bad omen for the season. The Mancs. Chief Exec. has flown halfway around the world to negotiate for Fab.!
Who's at our HQ working on signings?
Fellow Gooners, I have a sinking feeling. Even the Grampus game did nothing to raise my spirits.
Same faces, same style, especially as yesterday I watched goals from the 2003/04 season. That was THE
best squad ever. Flair, beauty, control, skill and pace all around the pitch. We must have some new blood. Unless Wenger has some aces up his sleeve, I fear we will miss out again this coming season.
Disillusioned from Berkshire.

Agree2 Disagree0

IMO I still think the 2002 squad was the best.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sometimes Wenger speak with fork tongue. Him tell wife him want 3 sausage when him only really want 2

Jayjay

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Wenger is very literal with his answers. The report said medical Friday. I hear the medical is Thursday, announcement Friday. Therefore, as Wenger says, the report is wrong. He didn't deny Bernard would sign. Listen to his exact words.

Agree0 Disagree0

What have Bernard and Luis Suarez got in common? Nothing at all.

Going by your logic as has been pointed out, we haven't signed Arteta and AW still doesn't know who Santi Cazorla is!

Plus. Again Bernard and LS aren't mutually exclusive when the former is a right footed, natural left-winger and would be here to replace Arsh/Gerv.

NOTHING to do w/ being a "CF/ST".

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene also said we wasn't close to signing pod and he didn't know who santi was, I wouldn't read in to much what he says about transfers

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger will NOT spend anything over £17mill this transfer window. as usual he is playing games, so that when the transfer window closes and he has signed no one of worth, he can trot out his usual rubbish "we tried to sign. blah blah blaaaaah" anyone would think it is his money and not ours (the Fans who go week in week out)

Agree0 Disagree0

As Wenger is the ultimate student of the game and reportedly spends his holidays and any spare time he has watching dvd's, videos, blurays etc. of matches and player profiles, would anybody actually believe him if last year he said he had "never heard of Santi Cazorla"?

L'quipe announces Bernard for friday.
Stan

Believable26 Unbelievable53

Let's hope that this is true, but sadly by Friday no doubt Man City or Chelsea will come in and offer 1p more and we will lose out again due to stubbornness.

Agree3 Disagree1

No, they say he'll have a medical on Friday

Agree0 Disagree0

Shouldnt arsenal be announcing it, I had heard porto was his favourite destination

dave

Agree1 Disagree0

I can't see this happening but this would be a massive transfer for us and could be the biggest of the summer. This kid is class and would devastate on left of a front three. All the people saying his frame is a problem are clueless. Look at what Oscar did in his first season in the epl. I am more excited about this potentially happening than higuain ot suarez. So Wenger get this one in the bag!

JoshA

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't get wholly enthusiastic about this particular transfer. Seems an awful lot of money for a player to fill a position where we are reasonably well covered.
Would much prefer money to go to improve bids for an out-and out striker (Higuain), a defensive mid-fielder (Gustavo or Kondogbia) or a goalkeeper (Cesar or Ruffier)

Agree1 Disagree1

According to Mr Wenger - this is not true - Oh what a suprise! Will we ever buy anyone or is this season a write-off even before a ball is kicked - the injuries have already had an effect and we have thinned the squad to the bare bones - what the hell is going on at Arsenal?

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys

Arsene Wenger has denied we are signing Bernard. (Source - John Cross - Daily Mirror). He asked this after the today's match. AW has denied completely. This is a false rumour.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't Wenger Deny all transfers. I think he even denied Podolski even when everybody knew he was nailed on to sign for Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

The one source you can't believe lads and ladies, is Wenger.

"I don't know Cazorla"
Springs to mind!

Agree1 Disagree0

Wenger is always in denial - he never sees anything, including the blindigly obvious need to strengthen the goalkeeping and central defensive positions without delay. At this rate we will be starting the season with Sagna alongside Per Mert. What a farcical situation this is.

Agree0 Disagree0

So what do you guys expect him say. oh yes, we are close to signing him, so can all the sugar daddy clubs please come and gazump me before its too late. anyway, it may or may not be true, but please stop getting wound up by what amounts largely to press tittle-tattle!

Igloo

Agree0 Disagree0

A young under 21 international sounds familiar. oooops sorry I just saw the price. 20, 999, 999. 99 over our budget!

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's all believe Wenger, that way if Bernard comes everyone can have a pleasant surprise :-)

higuain waiting for wenger to come ane get him in the next 2 days. insider Gosten

Believable48 Unbelievable30

If I was wenger I would go all out for hig now it obvious he wants to come so instead of wasten time on saurez because soon as madrid come in for him he go there so waste of time

Agree0 Disagree1

How can you be an 'insider' when all theis information is in the daily rags?

Agree0 Disagree1

22 Jul 2013 09:25:40
just to clear a few thing up bernard will not be signing for arsenal was a foax the next 48 hours will be crucial as hig waiting to see if we up the bid for him before he moves to napoli finally wenger to up bid for saurez to 41 mill but will be rejected to expect us to go all out for hig

Believable38 Unbelievable27

Every transfer window is a hoax when it comes to Arsenal.
for the last 5 years I have said to myself the board and manager won't lie to the supporters again and kept buying my season ticket, well this years bulls**t has confirmed that while wenger and ivan are in charge WE WILL BE LIED TO
please move these two persons on to somewhere else

Agree0 Disagree1

Seriously have you and the rest of the whingeing supposedly arsenal fans who post on this site forgotten what arsene has done for this club it's completely changed for the better good things a comin sod offf and support a really crap team like those wallets down the road then you can moan.

Agree2 Disagree0

My opinion - 22yrs season ticket holder - my right
remember wenger said no to podolski then 5 odd days later wenger and podolski are together at an arsenal press release.
nothing to do with football he's just a compulsive lie which i'm now bored of. he's just said no the bernard - let's see

Real Madrid deny an agreement with Napoli to sell Higuain. Higuain has privately asked for 48 hours to see if Arsenal go back in for him and can agree a fee.

Arsenal to bid 41m for Suarez tomorrow

Arsenal also set to sign Cesar

A bid has been accepted from Arsenal for Bernard this deal has come out of nowhere but Bernard is to be Gervinho's replacement.

Kongdogbia is a realistic target but the DM position will be addressed once a striker is signed. Once Suarez/Higuain is completed Fellaini will be reviewed again and it will be a contest between him, Kondogbia and Luis Gustavo

Believable65 Unbelievable41

Utter rubbish.

Baysie Gooner

Agree2 Disagree0

Please give it a rest with the higuin rumours, its gotten so boring that I rather listen to justin beiber while watching twilight just so I can get a break from the higuin rumours and trust me I've put myself through some major punishment by doing it I wouldn't wish it on the most emo, emo

Agree3 Disagree0

Maybe if RM don't admit that they have accepted a bid from Napoli, it would mean that they can keep jacking the asking price up?
Even if we bought the Hig, I would continue pushing up Suarez's price to pi** RM off! who knows, we could end up with both of them!

ColbyGarry

Agree0 Disagree0

While wenger is busy playing games, the spurs have signed, paulinho and chadli, and baldini is in Valencia, trying to sign Soldado.

i will always support the man, but I think he has lost his marbles completely. its not 2005, its 10 years later you old git.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lakerville its not 2015 so how can it be 10 years later, you really need to learn maths dude

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't believe it but I hope it is all true.

Agree0 Disagree0

The scousers will not let suarez go for less than £48mill. and there is NO WAY tightfisted Wenger & the board will ever sanction that amount of money. {Ed052's Note - I suspect the 'Scousers' will accept something around 40m}

Agree0 Disagree0

At the mo it seems we've lost Higuain and getting close to Suarez. Not my choice personally. Happy if we get Cesar. I won't right Suarez off, but there isn't another footballer I hate more.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 02:57:11
Higuain for 30 or Suarez for 40?

Put believable for Higuain if you would prefer to have him; put unbelievable for Suarez if you would prefer to have him

Believable117 Unbelievable83

We are not getting either so move on already. Liverpool have already stated that athough every player has his price, the price for Suarez is £55m. We won't pay that, plus Higuain is going to Napoli to replace Cavani.

Wish I could shoot the messenger!

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jul 2013 10:00:34
dude, liverpool have very little leverage here. suarez wants arsenal and will "do a lescott" if that is what it takes to force liverpool to sell him @ £40m.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure how you work out Liverpool having little leverage when Suarez signed a new contract only last season!

There is no way, NO WAY that Liverpool will sell to another PL club for anything around the £40m mark.

If he hands in a transfer request, then most of the top teams on the planet will be in for him, albeit only Man City, Chelsea, PSG, Barce, Madrid could afford him at around the £55m price mark.

Forget about it, we're not getting him! {Ed052's Note - A tricky situation is emerging between LS and Liverpool. LS wants his 2m, but so do Liverpool. LS will use this 'bonus' to leverage a move}
