A newspaper is reporting that Schalke has accepted 36 million for Draxler and he could be on his way? Anyone else reporting this?

Heard loads of people saying it. But wenger said 'we have no need for new flanking players'. So I can't see it happening, if it does happen though, Akie is one happy Gooner

It's in most of the papers this evening, and Jan Age Fjortoft has apparently tweeted that a fee has been agreed, but he's unsure as to whether it's going to happen this window or in the summer. He was the one who tweeted first about Ozil apparently. Who knows, we just live in hope!

I was at the match last night v Coventry. I spoke to Wenger he about this he said " Um errrrrrrrrr and um errrr" for about 35 minutes I had to shoot off in the end I was growing a beard waiting for him to get his words out. LOL

TV is signing a new contract with us today. Mmmmm don't know my feelings on that. For me he is injured far too much. Good player when playing but apart from that his time spent in the treatment room out weighs the benefits of giving him a new contract. But hey! who am I to pass judgement?

I would definitely like to keep him, as cover for Koscielny on the left hand side of the centre back pairing. I still feel we need cover for Mertesacker on the right hand side.

Wouldn't say he was that injury prone more like can't get in team because of BFG and Lk6 being so good together. Still a great squad player to have though!

Berba to join in the next 48 hours, had a tea party with AW. He is highly rated, able to play in CL, won the golden boot in PL, great passing and finishing skills, 8 years of PL experience, will play on 110% against our biggest rivals MU and Tottenham and the price is 2-3 M pounds. I call that better deal than Flamini.

I think it would be a great signing. We need back up for Giroud. The problem is that realistically he can only replace Giroud & not as a wide attacking player. Also, we have Bendtner & Sanogo fit next week. Hence, I doube we will sign him or anyone else.

Sounds like a really good deal take Draxler in the summer with the team we have at the moment Berba will shine again as he will acknowledge the skill around him as equals and perform accordingly.

Berba is a player who always looks lazy as he drifts around - BUT every time a cross is ready to go in he's in the box and generally unmarked. He's like a ninja and nobody seems to pick him up. More than happy to have him as cover

Is there any chance it could be a loan with a loan fee of 1m for 6 months. Very steep I know, but worth it because:

A) He is perfect for what we need this season. Somebody to come on for the last 20 minutes and replace Giroud. He would be a threat and give Giroud a rest.

B) He is not what we need next season. We need a Cavani or somebody of his level. If not, somebody close.

I remember a game few years ago, MU were playing in the champions league. They took out the statistics at the end of the game and the person who cover the greatest distance was Dimitar. You couldn't really notice this during the game, but he cover more that 13 km in that game. Football is not only running from the box to the other box. You have to keep your stamina. Try to observe Ronaldo, he does almost the same thing.
