I believe that AW guy (about the de rossi rumour) my dad lives in Italy and he is a fellow gooner and is saying that de rossi is unhappy at roma over their reluctance to sign a new contract with him. Italian press are reporting that he wants a move to the premier league and a deal has already been agreed. As far as I know Arsenal are the only team to be interested in him in the premier league, so, AW what have you been hearing on this???? Please post back!

I live in Canada - our sort of sky sports news is fox soccer report and they did report that 3 days ago about Alvarez.
Today they said he has agreed a 4-year deal with arsenal and specifcally said London arsenal, but hisclub Velez are in semi's of copa libertadores (south american champs lge) and nothing will be official until after this, they also said our 1st signing will be Carl Jenkinsen a defender {Ed007's Note - Carl Jenkinson signed today}

My cousin is the nanny of the children of Lars Jacobsen of West Ham Utd and Denmarks first choice right back.
As an Arsenal fan she asked him about Bendtner situation, bendtner and jacobsen are good friends from international duty and as their clubs play in london and see each other a lot. He said he is off to Germany to play for Bayern Munich. Not sure on the fee but you'll see as this unfolds.
He also told her to watch out for Christian Eriksen of Ajax coming in. Jacobsen said that Eriksen is keen to work with Jack in the middle of midfield to create a similar but better midfield duo than Xavi and Inensta and if this is true it would spell the end of Cesc 'i wanna play for barcelona' fabregas and also create one of the best midfield pairings.

I would hardly call Rodellega a proven scorer at Premiership level, he scored 9 this season, even Cameron Jerome managed more than that last season. He's just scored a few goals, that's all. If we want someone who is that good, we might as well keep Bendtner.

This is done, he has signed a pre contract and will join the team on July 1st. It is a poor league, but he is a very good player, if a little injury prone. He hasnt played very much for Velez because of this. Simialar to Bale in my opinion. 6"2 and plays mostly from the left wing.Will add a bit of strenght and height and is a powerful runner.Got him on a free also, so good business as usual from Wenger.

I wouldn't expect any signings for at least 10-14 days, We will have to return early for pre-season early due to CL qualifier but even so most managers and players have now gone on holiday or on national team duty. So the merry go round i believe won't start till second week of june after international dates. There may have been some contact already with clubs but this early in the summer no team is likely to sell a player they feel they can start a bidding war for without doing a bit of touting around, unless its silly money and we don't pay silly money. Let the CL final happen and international games go ahead then it will be business time in my opinion
Guilliem announcement has to be Canales. We have been linked but hope it isn't so.
