As usual AFC will not be giving us fans many clues about their targets so all we have to go on is media speculation and our own ideas about who we would love to see in charge. and who we couldn't bare the thought of.

I had to do a search to find out who he was but Ed002's wildcard Lucien Favre seemed to me to be a pretty good fit to what we could do with right now.

I do wonder if the Ed mentioned him just because he felt that Lucien Favre would be the right man or if Arsenal do actually have him on their list of possibles.

{Ed002's Note - He is a light year or so ahead of Luis Enrique but there are those at the club concerned that Arsenal may be stupid enought to take the soft option. I hope not Terry.}

If Enriques wage demands are true I would be amazed if they chose him, that doesn't really seem like the safe option, if things don't work out and they have to sack him the compensation will be massive and may also make them stick with him longer than they should because they don't want to pay out the compensation.

Enrique is poor. I don’t know about what he did at celta vigo but he was terrible at roma i remember them finishing seventh and roma then was a strong team. Of all the candidates suggested IMO him and brendan rodgers are the worst. Any other choice wouldn’t be bad.

I must admit, i like what i read about this guy. Maybe he could bring J M Seri along with him? haha.

What i remember about favre is that during his time at bundesliga, he was guardiola’s achilles heel. If my memory serves me right he beat him twice. I remember one game where bayern lost 3-1 to monchenglabach (not sure about the spelling) . Bayern had a high line in that game and monchenglabach just played balls over the top like crazy with some leading to three goals. Took notice of him that game to be sincere. He is decent but he is 60.Doubt Arsenal will go for an old manager and he has also never managed a really big club. If we are to go for an older manager, I’d like us to go for sarri. He builds exiciting teams plus it would be hilarious seeing sarri show the middle finger to spurs fans :-)

Ragnick is an interesting name to see with Klopp and Tuchel speaking highly of him. and Vieira says he's "ready" if he gets the call.

I still want Nagelsmann personally but early signs look as if he's not really on their hitlist!

Eds, please can you give me your thoughts on Ralf Ragnick?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Ralf Rangnick would be an odd choice as he retired from management 6 or 7 years agao and apart from an emergency stint has worked as a Director of Football.}

Thanks for that. Can you think of a reason why they would be potentially considering him in this case? I've read that he's quite stern with players, demands respect and does love to take charge despite his current role.

Someone with pure passion and a backbone would be a good start for Arsenal.

{Ed002's Note - Because he quit coaching 6 or 7 years ago and has been working primarily as a Director of Football since. Aside from his time coaching Hoffenheim he was a journeyman coach who rarely stayed long. He is about 60 now.}

I would of thought that someone who quit coaching would be a reason to not consider them but hey, it looks as if people are slamming money down on him as his odds are dropping like mad! Perhaps use him in the interim so that someone like Arteta can gain more experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - So why would he leave his Direct of Football job with Red Bull to take an interim job at Arsenal?}

25 Apr 2018 10:13:39
Exactly that. Sometimes money talks but then again we're not exactly renowned for paying big bucks! Who goes in to any job planning to just be there 'in the interim'? We shall see.
