Ok.... Remember guys it was I who broke the news about Kaka 2 wks ago and now its being reported all over the world..WELL, I have an update.
Kaka "loan" deal, Arsenal want Real Madrid to pay 25% of his wages. IF they agree its a deal and he will join for a season.

Who are you? you didnt leave your name

Ok...well kaka is reportedly on about 150k, so 25% will bring it down to about 110k, which meets arsenal's wage structure- could be plausible this.

Oh how i hope this is true sooo much. Cant see it though...lets see.

Who told you madrid rejected the loan bid??
Agree0

The loan bid was rejected days ago - seems like you are the only one not to know that. The thing is he really doesn't figure in the special one's plans and no-one else seems interested in him so the loan could still happen if only to reduce the wage bill at RM.

Arsenal are back in talks with Real Madrid over the potential loan of Kaka. We're not willing to pay whole transfer but if Real pay 25% then the deal will be done. News come from the same guy who posted about kaka two weeks ago before it hit the press.

Last night we were Quality, was well pleased with Jenkinson (looked very composed under pressure) and Frimpong (an out and out Beast) would love to see Frimpong and big Chris Samba in the same team. A few days left to replace the players that have run away from the battle to hide amongst more talented players so would love to see Sneijder at Old Trafford playing for us. COYG

With both Nasri and Fabregas gone as our main creative players, the question is who will fill those gaps. Wilshire can be decent replacement for one but do we need more?. Did we have too many of these player types anyway slowing our attacks down too much?.
I think even if we dont get another creative midfilder that Diaby can have a bigger influence for us(Providing he stays fit) and have a more effective role as an attacking midfielder. I think it is a interesting option and would be a more direct running option to Wilshire.
I think Wenger is perhaps looking to be abit more direct/Counter attacking in his attacking play now and that was eveident in last night's game with Udiense with Gervinho and Walcott running the chanells and getting in behind. Who knows maybe selling some of our creative players may become a tactical masterstroke by Wenger and turn us into a side that play more like the great unbeaten side and better suited to the EPL. Ed:- What is your opinion on this?
Believable8
Unbelievable5
I agree, I have been infuriated these past couple of years when Fabregas and Nasri, slow the play down, we need to change defence into attack in a split second, as Chelsea and ManU do, we break out of defence and pass the ball around so much, that there are 11 defenders behind the ball before we get to the oppositions 18 yard line
Who else remembers Lehman throwing the ball out to Pires the instant he gathered the ball up, turning defence into instant attack, ? you just dont see it any more, although i am hopefull of Gervinho.
WE also need people at least jumping for headers and making a neusance of themselves in the middle of the park and for throw ins, when the ball is in the air, it happens far too often that our players just dont jump WE NEED TO WIN EVERY BATTLE
Agree0
Disagree0
Well, im not ed, but my opinion is, its WILSHERE, WITH AN E, people always put the I
Agree0
Disagree0
Surely Diaby is one of the players who slows us down by beating a player 2 or 3 times. On few occasions does he go direct usually he turns back Him and Deneilson often broke our own attacks down, don't get me wrong I like Diaby but only as the extra holding midfielder or on the odd occasion playing as the 2nd striker, anywhere in between and he's a big risk as he loses the ball when our defenders have pushed up.
Agree0
Disagree0
Frankly I have a sneaky feeling we will be the batter for not expecting cesc to carry the whole team anymore - a lot less fruitless tappy tappy + daiby was really good before injury - hasn't played enough to get his mojo back since.
Last night was when we stepped out of cesc's shadow for the first time - was plenty of times last season when that was needed but didn't happen. Am so proud: come on the arsenal
Wilshire showed what a teenager can do last year - indeed man u starting to copy us - maybe, just maybe, wenger will be proved to be the damn genius he has been so close to proving. Remember, on a comparative shoe string, at home, we humbled ALL the best teams in the world last year. I can see the next crop being better, by a long shot. If so it will eclipse the invincibles as an achievement.
IN WENGER WE TRUST
All those morons who don't can f'off and support citeh or dirty russian money chelski and cement themselves as true children of Thatcher - greed is good - forget any pretense to ideals and principals

Would really like Wenger to sign Keisuke Honda, he looks like a quality player in the middle of the pitch as can move forward and drop deep for cover. He also can play for cover down the flanks similar to Arshavin. CSKA have said they won't accept bids of less than £12M which I reckon if we offered £15M it may be feasible? Only problem is attracting him over the likes of Spanish giants which he says he'd prefer or the likes of Man City What does everyone think??

Coming home from Italy today and one fella should me on his I Phone he put a bet of £50 on Arsenal to sign Kaka at 25-1. It is now down to 6-1. According to him an administrator at Arsenal told him it would be done if we qualified for the CL. 5 year deal at 120000 a week so he will earn that until he is 34 and he has gone as far as saying Kaka has told Wenger he wants one last big contract then he is moving back to Brazil. He also says Wenger is after Cahill, Parker and Forlan. I reckon its just the excitment about winning last night but interesting to see that bet he did
Believable7
Unbelievable7
Parker and Forlan are out of the question Get that out of your mind. I really doubt Kaka would move to us. 5-6 years ago it was a real possibility, but not now. I have high hope of us signing Hazard, marvin Martin nd maybe M'vila.

25 Aug 2011 21:01:38
Marvin Martin subbed out in 54' as Sochaux losing badly. A sign he'll be heading to the Emirates (so he doesn't get further injured)? Or simply a mercy substitution (being on a yellow)?

We neede the signings before the season started, not when we potentially are 8 points behind already - Wenger and Gazidas have dithered and delayed, making low bids then looking shocked when they are rejected. I seriously beleive Wenger will not spend a penny more, despite our obvious failings

Believable10
Unbelievable10
Discount buy? 13 Mil?
Agree0
Disagree0
I reckon he;ll be signed last day of the window at a knocked-down price - end of the day Bolton HAVE TO sell him this summer, and it looks like we're the only team in for him - thus he'll be signed for about £11-13m.
AG
Agree0
Disagree0
I think Bolton will eventually have to cave in with him being on last year and will sell him for less than the 17Million, they are asking(The clause does not mean anything on the last contract year). It may turn out to be one of those last day transfers yes 13-14Mill will likely be the figure I reckon.

M'Villa to sign by sunday.
My thought is that Rennes wanted to keep him for the re-match against Crvena Zvezda, and that's ok because if we hadn't qualified for CL he would have been cup-tied for Arsenal.
Just watched the Rennes-C.Zvezda game, and I can tell you this guy is great Perfect-inch passes, good composure and control of the ball, athletic player who has fantastic vision and awareness on the pitch. I couldnt say if he's worth 22mil right now, but definitely a player that can have a good Arsenal future ahead of him.
Plus, he was always on the screen, probably the director of the live match coverage was aware of the future transfer (:

Seems a decent player, not as creative and skillful as Fab or Nasri but a good passer and keeps the play moving along nicely. Can tackle and defends pretty well, a good DM option I think. Certainly a Wenger style Buy.
Agree0

He is NOT cup-tied, cause he played the Europa League qualifiers, and we play in the Champions League now. He would only be cup-tied if we finish 3rd in our CL group and drop into Europa League knock-out stage...

Hes 33 now. Too old.
Agree0

He is an intelligent striker no doubt and a excellent finisher, but at 33 I dont think he would have the stamina and physicality for the EPL. The slower Italian league suits him more now. Wenger would never buy as attacking player that old anyway.
Agree0

He would never leave Udinese.. he has has various offers from top Italian clubs but wants to stay put.

Please people stop expecting wenger to buy anyone. You keep expecting him to sign players and he won't. That's what the row with Van Persie was over. Posts like this REALLY annoy me
If I told my boss that if he didn't employ so and so I would leave, and i didn't agree with his employment policy, he would very politely tell me to go away...Quite rightly so too
All this crap about players wanting reassurances about who we are signing is rubbish
Their job is to play football, Arsenes job is to manage HIS team, so if Van Persie, or anyone else, don't like....then TOUGH LUCK.

AKBs poked with a stick again then? Wenger and the board are not immune from criticism, and I repeat again, we support AFC, not Arsene FC. If somethings wrong you try to fix it surely, because if you don't you're negligent. As to those talking about questioning their own boss and being told to leave, you'd do exactly what our players are doign and vote with your feet - if this many players want out something is wrong with the club

Laurent Koscielny has been named in France's squad for next month's Euro 2012 qualifiers against Albania and Romania
I think this shows just how far he has come in the past year under Wenger. There is still mroe to come too
Saying that, we still need a new CD, Metersacker would be my number 1 choice at the moment.
Raul Albiol is another player who could potentially be available at a reasonable price. He is slightly out of favour at Madrid at the moment and I feel would get in to the team ahead of Koscienly. He can also play right back. Sagna has proven he is adaptable enough to play left back, and obviouly TV5 too so He could be a good signing
Gooneremo
Believable9
Unbelievable6
Sagna struggled against Udinese through no fault of his own, to suggest he could play 'more often' as a left back is football suicide. Why buy someone who could fill in at RB (Albiol) when we have Sagna and now Jenkinson rather than buy a natural LB like Baines?
Welsh Gooner
Agree0

I would love to see a proper left back come in. All im saying is, if we did buy Albiol we would have gibbs first choice LB, Vermailen and Traore ascover with Sagna in an Emergency. Still with Albiol and Koscienly in CD with Jenkinson on the right. It gives a bit of versatility.

On another note, you guys need to make some more noise down at The Emirates. It's like a library down there, no wonder your team gets nervy in the last fifteen/ten minutes.

Sky Sports say we're afrter a you French striker called Niang (aged 16):
"Niang is regarded as one of the best young talents in Europe after breaking into the Caen first-team last season at the age of 16.
The 6ft frontman only made his first-team debut in April and scored three goals in seven games.
His emergence has attracted interest from a host of clubs across Europe with Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool all credited with an interest in Niang.
Spanish giants Real Madrid have also made an enquiry for Niang with Real's director of football Zinedine Zidane hoping to lure the youngster to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real are thought to have offered Caen €11million for Niang and are ready to loan him back to the Ligue 1 outfit as they look to win the race for his signature.
However, Arsenal have expressed an interest in Niang, with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger keen to bring the forward to the Emirates.
Wenger is believed to have made an enquiry to Caen manager Franck Dumas to be kept informed on Niang's situation and he is hoping his French connections will help in his bid to sign the youngster.
The Frenchman has shown at Arsenal his talent for unearthing and developing young players with potential and he could now move for Niang before the close of the transfer window."

Fiorentina have confirmed they will only consider selling midfielder Riccardo Montolivo to a foreign club.
Montolivo, 26, has been told that he has no future at the Italian club after refusing to sign an extension to his contract, which expires at the end of the season.
Milan were strongly linked with the Italy international earlier in the summer but Fiorentina are determined to see their former captain move to a foreign league.
“Montolivo doesn’t believe in the Fiorentina project,†sporting director Pantaleo Corvino said. “As a result, the player will be sold abroad.â€
Fiorentina have also conceded that Juan Manuel Vargas could leave the club, although they insist no firm offer has been received for striker Alberto Gilardino.
“If Vargas leaves then we are already well covered thanks to Andrea Lazzari and the return of Stevan Jovetic,†he added.
“As for Gilardino, we have had no offers for him. There has just been a verbal interest from one club.â€

Arsene Wenger to sign
Yann M'Vila - 18-22 Million
He will give Arsenal the sting we need in the midfield as him and Song will grow a fantastic partnership. Shows a quality of a captain
Cahil - 16 Million
Exactly what we need at the back A big British Center back as he is class. Not affraid to get stuck in.
Zarate - 10 Million
Will provide great back up/ great partnership with RVP. Very good finisher and shows that he is the last peice of the puzzle for the attack.
Hazard - 25 - 30 Million
Very fast. skillful, good finisher and good awarenese. will be a great buy.
Vertegohn - 10 Million
Plays like Vermalen will swhow a great determination and willingness to win games also will be perfect partner for TV5. We will bring in him or Cahil, personally i will be happy with either
Marvin Martin - 15 Million

I think fabregas' replacement will be Wilshere. Expect him to play a more advanced role this season in the fabregas mould. I think that we will most likely get baines and jags as we know Everton need to sell i wouldn't be surprised if Arteta is bid for to take Wilsheres role. I can't see us buying 2 cbs as song can play there as well which will give frimpong more game time. I would love to see Hazard and M'vila but liklihood is slim. If he doesn't get Hazard i think Miyarchi is ahead of Arshavin in pecking order. Genuinely think this guy will be a legend at the emirates. I don't know merely speculating:

There is no way Arsene will buy 3/4 players in the next week (I believe we need these 1 Def, 1 Mid, 1 winger & 1 striker)

The lowdown on the transfers: (6 days)
•Arsenal will chalenge Valencia for the signature of Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol. The 31year old has fallen down the pecking order a and shouldn't cost more than 10million.
•Arsene Wenger has instantly gone back in for stade Rennes and French international M'Villa.Wenger had a 15million bid rejected for the CDM earlier in the window and now has bidded 22million for his services.
•Bayern Munich Schweinsteiger is interesting Arsene and he would need to break the bank with a 30million offer for him.
•Real Madrid have rejected a loan offer from the gunners for Brazilian playmaker Kaka who wants to fight for his place despite Mourinho having no plans for him.
•According to his club Lille Eden Hazard will not be moving and is staying put but sources close to Hazard say if a big European club gave the right offer he would be happy to leave for around 25million.
•Wenger has denied any interest in Mauro Zarate of Lazio worth around 10million and Foirentinas Montilivo worth 15million despite Zarates agent claiming he was In London holding talks.
•Per Mertesacker has snubbed Arsenal and will be staying at Bremen.
•Moussa Sow of Lille says he would like to play in the prem for Arsenal as his game suits it more.
•Everton will be prepared to sell Jagielka for 20million to Arsenal who apparently met representatives of arsenal. It is rumoured Wenger may go for Baines 15million and Arteta 10milliom.
•Freiburgs striker Papa Cisse of Senegal is drawing interest from the gooners and would cost around 12million.
•Sochaux Marvin Martin has been wanted by Arsenal all summer and wenger might go in for him with a bid of around 10million while Anin who has also seen interest from Wenger missed training due to the interest.
•Bolton are bracing themselves for a bid of around 16million for Cahill from Arsenal.

I struggle to find any merit in this rumour whatsoever, this is just a well-organised run down of our most likely speculative transfers listed in 1 post. We will not go in for Baines, Jags, Albiol and Cahill, then MMM, Schweinsteiger, M'Villa, Hazard, we will be aiming for probably one or two of those each.
It would sem Hazard is incredibly likely as he is so young and therefore an investment for the future. That is of course if we pay any attention to spec. The only player there who for me brings this 'experience' we need is Scweinsteiger and I fail to see why he would leave Bayern. He's German, they're the best team in Germany (perhaps along with Dortmund) and they're in the champs league.
I would expect 1, maybe 2 mids, 1 striker, and 1- defenders.

This is not actualy a rumour, but im hoping the ed's will post it. Theres been a lot of criticism of Arsenal from the media and fans about the transfer activity but when you realy have a think about it, things are realy not as bad as they want you to think. If we compare this team and last seasons team we lost Fabregas who didnt realy play that much due to injury and had his heart already in Barcelona, Clichy who often was not the quality we want at arsenal and a bigger loss imo Nasri who was brilliant for the first half of the season.
And now lets look at who we got:
Gervinho who has shown his class and whos not worse than Nasri as a winger imo.
We got TV back.
And we have a new defencive beast in midfield Frimpong.
So if we buy atleast 1 player to recover from the creativity lost in midfield we are already stronger than last year(oh yeah dont forget Sczzer in goals). And if Arsene Wenger manages to get rid of the deadwood we got and bring in 2-3 new faces( imo 1 in defence, 1 midfield and 1 striker) we have solid chanses. Only problem is that others have strenghtened too especialy man city.

looks like M'vila will be done - guardian.
Wenger's smile on canal plus suggests we are definitely in for Hazard.
Zarate a very direct striker with great shot on him - exactly what we need. Suggestions inter may be in for him unfortunately. We will see.
Mail is reporting a loan bid for Kaka was dismissed in the hope he could be sold on to someone for about 17.5m. Big wages would come with him I know but, as a former world player of the year, perhaps he could be an exception to our usual structure, also imagine what a lift it would give to the whole team but especially the youngsters. Still a v.good player, would be a great statement of intent and is a definite possibility.
Can't wait to see what happens; I suspect wenger will abandon old approach somewhat since he is bidding on a DM (M'vila), despite fact we already have two top players for that spot. He would have seen that as overkill in the past.
