Catch 22 situation really because if fit long term he will want a starting place which we can't offer him in our best 11 but if his injury continue who would buy him and pay his wages?

I don't see the need to keep Wilshere, which is why I'm inquiring about a possible move for him. Any news on that or Wilshere in general? I see him going to join West Ham in the future. No reason. Just a guess.
And yes, I'd like to hear about the Jan 2018 window.
Heard Moyes will try to sign us a top, top striker then.

To be honest I don't think Flamini is the problem. I just think that Southampton were a lot better on the break and good at stifling any of our attempts to string together some decent build-up. Southampton were lucky to get two goals that perhaps they shouldn't have, but I think 4-0 just shows more Southampton positives than Arsenal negatives. Having said that, I'd still like to see perhaps one January addition and the Ox getting an extended run of games. And hell, maybe even a formation change to a 4-4-2, where Giroud and Walcott could perhaps play off one another? But. that's just like my opinion man.

I agree Swan. We need an addition in Jan and credit to Southampton. They defended well.
I think we lost yesterday because we thought it was an automatic victory. That said, I'm not blaming Flamini for the defeat. (I wrote that during the 30th min. ^^) I just think we need a Sergio Busquets type player to take us to the next level, someone who can tackle and connect a pass quickly and precisely. (Carvalho comes to mind)

Carvalho would be a good choice, although personally I think if we make any move for a player with unproven fitness at high levels, then we may as well gone in for Khedira on a free, that way we had the injury liability but also a world class player. Personally, i'd like Wenger to splash the cash on Krychowiak, although from what I've read here and around the internet, it doesn't seem like it's going to happen in January.
Personally, as a short term solution I would have liked it if we had gone in for somebody like Parolo or Biglia - both of Lazio - in January. Both are decent at covering that defensive midfield position and whilst neither are particularly young, their experience might be useful to us. However, I think the lesson learnt from signing Kimmy K a few years ago may stop us taking that route in Jan. Which is a shame because in his day Kim was class.
