NO matter if he stays or goes, we're progressing. Signing some good young players, getting commitment from our core, I'm pleased. And if Xhaka stays and plays like he did for the Swiss, amen.

Don't shoot the messenger but anytime I hear an Arsenal rumour from a trusted source of mine or a rumour that doesn't seem ridiculous I post on here. This one is from a trusted source, so here goes.
Now that ESR has signed for the long term and has been given the 10 the focus on AM is purely loan only ideally in the 28-32yr old range for experience and the priority looks to be shifting to Coutinho. No concerns with ability but there are concerns about attitude so a loan suits us but Barcelona are desperately trying to sell him first and foremost so we may lose out or have to wait until deadline day.

I think you misread what I wrote there Davy.
What I meant was that ESR is our future and his development is our priority so instead of buying an established AM who is say 24-26 we are looking to loan in an experienced AM to avoid disrupting ESR’s development in the long term. Ya dig?
