I asked this on the wrong page so I thought I should come here and try for a more Arsenal related answer.

Has Arsenal made any attempts that you know of to sign anyone? Any approaches to other clubs? Ed002 said we haven't gone after any Madrid players, but I wondered if we had actually done anything seeing as some clubs are already making plans?

Also, has the Europa League changed who is likely to go or stay at Arsenal?

I saw an article yesterday saying we would probably be forced to sell some of our best players and higher earners because we missed out on the Champions League and can't get away with a huge increase on our wage budget due to Premier League rules.

There is rumour of Alexis to Bayern, Chamberlain to Liverpool, and Giroud/ Koscielny to Marseille. Is it likely we will not be able to keep these guys?

Appreciate any info you can give us. As much as I am excited about playing new teams this season (and having a chance to win a European trophy next year) , I am really disappointed at the fact we seem to do nothing to repair our mistakes. Hopefully you guys have some good news for us!

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in players as we have discussed and the club has spoken with other clubs but try not to get wrapped up in the "has an offer gone in yet > have Fortuna Dusseldorf replied > will another offer be made > what about that trouble with the goat > what time will he sign on the bottom line" cycle. I don't expect the Europa League would change anything in respect of players leaving. It will make it more difficult to perhaps sign certain players but I don't think it will be too much of a big deal for Arsenal this summer.

And keep in mind the season isn't over yet.}
