i just want to remind every 1 that we have never used any sponsorship money for transfers and wages since the move to the new stadium.
the sponsorship money was paid up front towards the stadium debt.
we have signed a new deal with emirates which half is due to be paid in the summer.
we will sign a new shirt maker deal by the end of the season.
if nike stays they will do the same as the emirates and if addidas wants us they will don the same.
123 mill cash flow.
75 mill from the emirates
75 mill from nike/addidas
asia tours
new tv money
and we have not even sold a player yet.
5-7 players will be totally of the wage bill.
we can afford to spend 150mill on new players with no loans.

Having the money to spend has never been the problem mate. The issue here is AW's reluctance to spend as if he does, he will be forced to admit that his policy of nurturing teenagers into a dominant team has been a failure. We all know its been a failure. Shame he doesn't see it that way.

I would love this to be true and for us to spend £100m plus this summer. However, Part of me thinks that there will be excuses come the start of next season!
This sort of investment would put us right where we belong again!

If all these figures are correct - then doesn't that seem to indicate that the chairman, the board and the manager have actually done a fantastic job - we are financially secure for a long time, we have one of the best stadiums in europe and we have a pretty good squad (with the advent of a couple of purchases, a couple of the developing talents and with a few being 'elbowed' it will be a great squad!

HSM Kenya Gooner, Wenger's pretty much already conceeded defeat on 'project youth'.
Project Youth had a purpose. Cheap buys that would turn into world beaters and either stay and improve our squad, or leave and be sold at a profit, or they would flop - but due to age and price - be less of a financial risk. And Wenger still believes in producing talent from the lower ranks, he'll always give them a chance if they show enough potential. BUT, looking at the majority of the signings over the last 3 years, it's clear that we're no longer seeing this overreliance on youth.
Vermaelen, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Arteta, Podolski, Gervinho, Cazorla, Giroud. Lots of players in their peak, you wouldn't have seen these kind of signings five years ago (the overpriced panic-buy Arshavin was a bit of a one-off at the time he was brought in).

AW should not have signed AOC, Jenkinson, Ramsey, etc. I would love to see us being linked with a player like Lampard who can provide leadership on the pitch. We could have bid for Brad Friedel when he moved to Spurs 3 or so seasons ago. An old head in there would make a massive difference and lift the team. When TH14 came in you could see RVP was a happier player.
I strongly feel that once we get over the hoodoo on winning the next trophy, we will be back challenging on all fronts. COYG!

According to my contact at Arsenal we will make a move for julio cesar when qprs relegation fears are confirmed. He could be the difference maker for us and some guidance and competition for szesny.

I think that cesar will go to a foreign country not arsenal. {Ed029's Note - Arsenal is in a foreign country for Cesar chum.}

dont know which ed is answering these sort of questions now on here. but when some 1 gets a chance could they try and find a bit of info on these things.
thanks lads.
do you know if there will be much movement of players at bayern munich this summer with pep becoming manger, he will obviously have a huge war chest is there a pan to ship any players out.
do you expect gotze to move in the summer and has any 1 shown any recent genuine interest?
have you any news on LEWANDOWSKI and his contract negoiations as you know he is going into his last year of his contract?
did arsenal have any real interest in MATS HUMMELS?
are we still interested in victor wanyama and is there a chance he may sign in the summer?
did we try and sign david villa in january or was it media talk?
thanks {Ed001's Note - 1. Yes, we expect a large sum of money spent and a lot of ins and outs there in the summer.
2. Probably, United (if I remember correctly) had a bid rejected for him, Arsenal scouted him a season or two back and likely retain an interest. I believe Juve are considering him too.
3. It looks likely that he is off to Man Utd, though no deal has been completed yet.
4. Not that I know of, though his club have never entertained any interest anyway.
5. Yes and yes.
6. I am not sure if you tried to sign him or Barca tried to sell him to you, but there were certainly talks between the two clubs regarding him joining you.}

Just a bit of correction as I sit close to reliable German sports magaines and websites.
Götze is on Arsenals radar. This has been reported on Eurosport Germany a week ago, and it even looks likely. Lewandowski's agent told that he is never with a club more than 2 seasons and this is his third season at Dortumund. This may suggest that he will leave or maybe this means that he wants to stay at Dortmund and loves the club.
And the Hummels rumour was in german magazines as well, but nothing concrete. Gustavo rumours were much stronger and still are.

Again, Vela left Arsenal because he didn't like England so why would he leave Spain where he's hit form?

Not sure those fee's which are FM release clauses, are 100% accurate mate!
But I imagine Isco will stay in Spain, at a bigger club, and Vela is doing well in Spain, if we do intend to buy him back, we'll have a job convincing him.

Vela left because he wasn't getting 1st team football not because he didn't like arsenal he recently spoke about returning to arsenal and said he is open to it

Rami is an excellent CB and I would really welcome him. I think he is a Left footer though so if he were to come in it would put Vermaelens job at risk.

Vermaelen's job is already at risk. He was put on the transfer list last summer when he was given the poisoned chalice that is the Arsenal captaincy
