Just heard that we are trying to convince ozil to move to inter so that we can get perisic.

Ive heard inter aren't interested.

{Ed0333's Note - where did you hear this?

26 Jan 2019 22:47:22
I think a lot of teams would take Özil. It's the wages that I bet not a lot of teams would like to pay.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0333's Note - not many teams would like to pay £350k a week to a 29 year old? No really?

27 Jan 2019 17:49:26
I reckon we would still need to continue to 200,000 of the 350,000 if he leaves Just to make a move possible for anyone to accept.
How ever did we agree to pay 350,000 per week in the first place, just writing it makes my jaw drop.
Whoever negotiated that? And who ever rubber stamped it rather sacking the bloke who agreed it on the spot.
No wonder we are short of transfer funds.

From my sauce ed0333, can't remember if it was the red or brown one.

{Ed0333's Note - mixture of ketchup and HP maybe lol.

It's got nothing to do with his age, Ed. I'd happily have Arsenal pay a 29 year old, 350k a week if they made the difference week in week out.

The ozil payrise is up there with the worst financial decision this club has ever made and ozil is nothing but a theif at the moment. I just hope that for arsenal football club a solution can be found to end the financial strangulation.

David Ornstein saying we after Ivan persic on loan with an option to buy for 35m.

Wanted Suarez on loan, failed because we won’t commit to a purchase. Nkunku, that will probably fail because we won’t commit to a purchase. Now we are on talks to sign Perisic? Great player by why would we commit to buying a 30 year old for 35m when we won’t commit to Suarez for 20. Looks like we are going through players until someone just says yes to a loan with option to buy rather than a obligation.

Perisic is an option to buy, Barcelona wanted a obligation to buy. If the player can’t settle to life or football, you are not forced to buy.

Yes I know. Inter also want an obligation to buy according to reports and will only accept offers between 35-40m in the summer.

Hi Eds, do you have any info on perisic rumours and how reliable they are, thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Inter are keen to sell Perisic and I understand an enquiry has been made about taking him on loan.}

26 Jan 2019 15:19:27
Thanks.

Why are Inter keen to move him on?

{Ed002's Note - Age - time to replace him}

26 Jan 2019 16:25:14
Ed why are arsenal keep going for ageing players? A bit strange. Before we went for young players.

{Ed002's Note - it makes no sense to me.}

I can't see us paying all that for a player with no resale value, and neither should we, I'd rather see us sign 4 or 5 players who are on the verge of a breakthrough who can flourish in an Arsenal shirt for 3 or 4 years at least then if we do lose them at a much higher price will be able to reinvest again.

The majority fans realise we are in transition.

January is a bad time to buy players

Let's get behind Emery and the club and give them a couple of summer Windows.

Its obvious we are very good with the ball and i can see lots of good things that are being done when we haven't got the ball. It is also obvious we have players letting the system down. I can only see us getting CL football this year through the europa league but we need a lot more luck with injuries in defence than we are getting. They are ripping us apart, socratis and kos are vital to any success this season, if we can't rely on them we are forked.
