Hi Ed002 I read on the European pages that Arsenal were interested in Camavinga but ruled out as we didn`t have the money . I am assuming that is still the case but do you know if we are the only club prepared to trigger Isak`s release clause or are we still lacking in funds? Thanks for any info in advance COYG.

{Ed002's Note - Eduardo Camavinga (DM/CM) Rennes will look for a summer auction as he the player has no interest in signing a new contract. Serious approaches for Camavinga have been made by Real Madrid, PSG, Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs - but Arsenal can be discounted as they do not have the money nor the real need for the player and Spurs, and possibly Manchester United, as they are not attractive destinations for many players. Interest has also been shown by Borussia Dortmund (who were quoted €100M), Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Genk - but the last two can be discounted as they simply don't have the funds and the others have other targets. A move to England for the kiddie is less likely than a move to Spain. He is perhaps a little way from first team football at the highest level but PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid are considering taking a chance on him in the summer but will not pay the revised COVID-19 asking price of €75M and with Zidane departing Real Madrid that might change. Bayern Munich see him as an option to Zakaria. There was a discussion about the player with Chelsea who have a very good relationship with Rennes, but they have a preferred option and see the price as too high - but perhaps something could be negotiated depending on departures which would be the driver for Chelsea. PSG would be best placed right now as Real Madrid have other priorities.

Alexander Isak (S) Michael Zorc wants to take him back from Real Sociedad regardless of any different wishes of the coach at Borussia Dortmund. Barcelona see him as a possible addition. Manchester City have a desire to add the player as a squad member but not as a Aguero replacement. Chelsea have considered him as a Tammy Abraham replacement but consider the asking price high. Manchester United have watched the player but are less attractive as a destination. Arsenal see him as an option to their preferred Lacazette replacements but the price is a concern. Real Madrid are keen. Real Sociedad have financial woes and may take the opportunity to profit but ideally want to remove the buy back clause and keep him another year. They will seek the full €70M termination fee in cash from sides other than Borussia Dortmund but will likely not get takers at that price allowing them to keep him another year.}

Fascinating info Ed and thank you! Doesn’t look good for Isak Camavinga or Malen as far as Arsenal are concerned COYG.

I see that we have hit a sticking point in the Ben White transfer does this mean it won't happen.

{Ed002's Note - If a price can be agreed there should not be an issue.}

OK thanks Ed from what I'm reading it's 5 million difference.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know the details. The price only becomes clear when the TMS is updated.}
