Take it and replace him with who? I swear spoke people think its football manager or something. What world class striker is willing to join Arsenal? Surely you're not banking on Nketiah filling that gap? Lacazette? Neither can get the goals Aubameyang has done.

Hey Ed. I know you said it’s early so no need to Panic. But not a single shot against City today? Worrying. I suspect Conte rumours will pick up. Do you think if Arsenal did go that way, could they pull it of?

Hi Eds, Firstly just wanted to say thank you for all your info this window, its been great and is highly appreciated.
Just wanted to ask in regards to Aoura most likely leaving Lyon this summer and being offered to numerous clubs including Arsenal. With the past interest in the player, is it something the club is looking to do still if they can move players on or has that ship sailed with Granit Xhaka now staying at the club? Appreciate any insight or knowledge that you can provide. thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Houssem Aouar (CM) Lyon were frustrated by Arsenal not taking a realistic approach to trying to complete the transfer of the player last summer and with PSG for failing to make a suitable offer. Having lost out on their primary CM choice there remains a chance PSG could look to him again - although I doubt he is at the top of their list any more. With the impact of the broadcasting losses, clubs in France are facing a difficult time and Lyon have reduced their €60M asking price this summer to ensure a sale. Juventus interest has drifted as they have a preferred target in mind after failed offers including Federico Bernardeschi and Mattia De Sciglio, who Lyon are keen on but they want to separate the deals. But I would not exclude Juventus from making an offer. Lyon are willing to offer the player on a loan with an obligation to buy deal and that might attract Arsenal and Liverpool. There has been concern about his recent form and this was reflected by Real Madrid showing no interest when approached by his agent. Manchester United would need to move on Pogba or van der Beek if looking toward him whilst they also have an eye on Saul, although he now looks to be heading elsewhere. Barcelona were also approached but they will not be in a position to do anything unless Frenkie de Jong is tempted away from the club as they have other priorities in the final days - I doubt they will look again. Fabio Paratici has taken his interest from Juventus to Spurs but after discussions they have stepped away. Manchester City, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and others have sent scouts to watch him over the past couple of seasons but none have declared an interest or looked to make an offer for Aouar. Arsenal will be told a take it or leave it price that is perhaps not as good a deal as others are being offered and will be expected to pay it - a third party will be used by Arsenal in any direct discussions. Atletico Madrid may offer an option depending on departures. Being available on loan will perhaps accelerate his exit.

Arsenal also still have a major issue selling players and unless they can sell in January or guarantee sales before the end of June are aware of a looming FFP issue.}

Thanks heaps Ed, hopefully we can get shift the necessary players needed in the next few days. We definitely
haven’t made it easy on ourselves, as it will be a shame if we weren’t able to get a deal done.
