Johan Djourou will be signing for Hamburg on a 3 year contract.

Will be announced Friday afternoon.

Good luck to him. Never quite made it at Arsenal.

Believable63 Unbelievable19

He has gone on a season loan with a chance for them to buy him at the end.

Young Gun

Agree0 Disagree0

When will we ever get a fee for a player surplus to requirements. Arsenal have had more loans than Wonga. com

Agree1 Disagree0

He's going on loan, then thy will probably not take the option to sign him because he is awful.

Agree0 Disagree1

Typical Arsenal, happy to let players go out on loan or sell on the cheap, yet not prepared to pay the asking price for quality. Totally fed up with all of our dithering, whoever makes the decisions with regard to transfers should go. All we hear on Sky is how other teams are wrapping up deals and yet we make no progress. Hmmm, let me think, Season ticket sales = false promises!

Agree1 Disagree0

Just for the record, Djourou will be signed on a permanent transfer by HAMBURG for around £3m.

HANNOVER wanted him to come on a loan for another season after having him on loan last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wonga. com! Hilarious!

Love it smartie. 10/10!

Maybe that Tottenham take him plus cash in exchange for bale? They know that he'll make up for bales goals plus some. Madrid have no incentive to sell to us. The only advantage we held over juve was we could offer full payment but if Tottenham decide to take the offer it doesn't really matter what we offer them does it?

Agree2 Disagree1

Hig won't go to spurs he wants cl football and they don't have it so its also down to him and can any see him picking them over us

dave

Agree3 Disagree0

Stop clutching

Agree1 Disagree1

Re above. If Tottenham are tempted in any way by the Higuian + cash for Bale "carrot" that is being dangled by RM, just watch the valuation of Higuian jump up and that for Bale drop dramatically.
That's the way they do business.

Agree1 Disagree1

You predicted that Arsenal would sign a player who's brother said a deal was close, good prediction.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyway Malaga. I hope you are right. because all I want is to see him at arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope that we do get Higuain, however it is remarkable that Ancellotti has been at RM one day and already snapped up ISCO, yet we have been dithering for ages and little progress over this deal. Not sure who the decision maker is but they need to speed things up or we will be in the same boat as last season, grabbing the bargains on the last day of the sale!

Agree2 Disagree0

Madrid announced signing Isco yesterday.

There has been no Higuain medical.

Stop making up rumours.

Agree1 Disagree0

ISCO deal was reported yesterday, My mates uncle 2nd cousin best friend who knows someone who works at Arsenal sort of thing yea lol

Agree0 Disagree0

It is called 'Arsenal Rumours'. co. uk. not 'Secret Arsenal Transfer FACTS that some guy on the web purports'

Agree0 Disagree0

Give it a rest mate for Chrissakes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga, you're either a wind up merchant or a complete person, either way, get a life person!

Willesden Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

I love how people reply to Malaga Gooner with questions like "so how are things like with the Rooney negotiations?" As if he's a super agent or Wenger himself!

He is, like us, just another gooner surfing the net desperately looking for Arsenal transfer news.

He throws out comments like Higuain had a medical Wednesday night when he's not even in the country in the hope of claiming some insider knowledge!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just so people know, higuain doesn't have to be in the country to have his medical. He can have it done anywhere in the world. Just like podolski or navas.

Agree0 Disagree0

I had to get up early this morning around 6amish- heard about it then- that was way before 9am! Does that make me a super insider now as well?> hehe

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 19:33:12
Seen the exact same reply about Rooney yesterday had a nice chuckle.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he don't sign I think I'll dislike you more than wenger himself! Do hope it's true though this fella will be amazing for us

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 22:59:56
Only joking fellas, I've been making this nonsense up the whole time! Did any of you guess?

Agree0 Disagree0

I really don't see the point in making an account to present to be someone else

Agree0 Disagree1

'Told to expect an announcement' who an earth have you been told by then?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 09:57:20
Someone's humour detector got turned off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Latest development is that Ancellotti wants to keep Hig, "he is an important part of RM future"

Agree0 Disagree0

Isco is not a striker, so there's no connection with higuain situation.

Agree1 Disagree0

I have not seen anywhere that quotes Ancellotti saying anything.

We have to be patient people, papers/media will speculate and make stuff up. let's wait until a RELIABLE source makes comment.

all valid points lads.

just posted what I was told.

dont know much about medicals, would of thought they don't take 5 minutes, just told in a very advanced stage.

very close

malaga gooner

Believable9 Unbelievable32

Medicals take a good 2-3 hours

Agree0 Disagree0

Full medicals for professional footballers in multi million pound deals can take a full day sometimes 2. Every aspect ov players physical and medical history looked over

Agree0 Disagree1

Jokers. "would have thought they wouldn't take 5 minutes"
You are looking at at least a working day to complete a full medical and read the data, some of the tests will take 2-3 days to return results and analysis.

Agree0 Disagree0

The medical I have every year for work takes over an hour and that involves no fitness tests.

You don't have a clue Malaga, and you have no sources.

Backtracking on your previous post already.

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga GOONER whatever your smoking you need to stop. Your posting make me laugh thanks for the laughs

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 23:50:07
I've played for Drogheda Utd in Ireland & had undergone a full medical. Believe me it doesn't take 5mins! You are an investment to these clubs & as such they like to be sure you're a solid one at the time of purchase. It's not a case of "he's good to run 20mins on a treadmill". They test eyesight, hearing, search for heart problems etc, send you for MRI, conduct various tests. It can take a week awaiting results. So I'd be patient & await full confirmation on the Gunners official website before making assumptions over a deal being done.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you guys are being harsh on malaga, while a medical does not take 5 mins, the medical history of the player is listed by his previous club.

The basic checks are carried out within two hours and the player is then requested to carry out other medicals which can last another 2-3 hours, after which the player can sign, pending the outcome of the medicals.

this whole process takes a day, while if the player signs on deadline day, the risk is if the player passes his basic assessment, he can be signed. but if there are complications the insurance company will not cover the players contract entirely and this leaves the club to cover those costs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga, stop spouting $hit you aren't in the know. surely by now you know that everyone just takes the pi$$ out of you on here

morning all

the "HIG" did his medical yesterday evening.

he could be announced b4 the weekend.

Believable43 Unbelievable52

To my mate usgooner some times dreams do come true.

i bet your buzzing.

enjoy

malaga gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga! How realistic is the rooney deal? what's happening with usmanov?

Agree1 Disagree0

No he didn't

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope you're right Malaga, on so many levels!

Fingers crossed!

Agree1 Disagree0

This is a surprisingly precise post from you Malaga! We shall see. Most journalists are saying we are still waiting to strike the deal let alone he's already had a medical.

Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are people giving him any attention? No doubt if this deal does eventually materialize he will claim to be the one that 'broke it first'.

Agree1 Disagree0

Most sources are reporting that Higuain is expected at London Colney on monday so yet again malaga talks rubbish!

JoshA

Agree0 Disagree0

Im losing belief in this transfer with each passing day. Some one some where is holding this deal up from happening be it on the player's side or his club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga is just going out on a limb. if it happens, he will say he broke the news and take all the glory for an assumption.

if it doesn't happen, his reputation is intact.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like the wording. 'could'

Agree0 Disagree0

This is all the hallmarks of "Mata" all over again. Why do other clubs get their business done so much quicker than us. Surely if we have the money we should get the transfer done or are the club yet again making up the story about all the money available just to sell season tickets!

Agree1 Disagree0

If Higuain had his Arsenal medical yesterday and 'Malaga Gooner' knows about it, I don't know about anyone else but personally I would imagine a newspaper journalist might have also got wind of this.

Paul

Agree1 Disagree0

That's a good point Paul, but isn't that the case with almost everything on here?

Sam

Agree0 Disagree0

Must have been by CCTV as he's in South America until the weekend.

Agree0 Disagree0

A certain tv channel news station just said that RM have bid for Bale with Hig plus plus deal!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 15:11:54
@ the person who posted "no he didnt", how do you know he didnt?

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone notice when malaga puts his name to things it all goes pearshaped, malaga is a curse on arsenal transfers.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 15:19:02
@block 5 gooner - of course he's right; when has malaga ever been wrong?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think hig has signed all ready also rooney is closer than you all think and fellaini is nearly done I think they are waiting to show all 3 together

dave

Agree0 Disagree0

Ther will be no Arsenal announcement until 1st July - hopefully at that point it will be HIG & FELL!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2013 12:39:02
Ed001 do you have any Arsenal related news for us?

Thanks a lot {Ed001's Note - I don't have anything new mate, sorry.}

Higuain to arsenal has stalled due to RM offering him plus £25m to napoli for cavani. Napoli are very interested and are trying to sort out a suitable contract package for the striker with his reps.

Once again we dwindle on our dealings and loose out.
Why is it almost every other team can identify and capture thier targets in such a small period i. e tevez to juve or all prem purchases so far.

I believe this is due to a poor negotiations team and not having a director of football at the club to help sort out transfers.

Unhappy gunner

Believable36 Unbelievable43

I'm sorry you clearly state that the reason the transfer stalled is due to Madrid wanting to use him to get Cavani. Where was the mistake in Arsenal? they made a bid and they are told to wait till real madrid has signed a new manager. They are the one who is yet to sanction the move, so why it is the Arsenal's staffs mistakes?

Agree1 Disagree0

1. This isn't even a for sure thing, so why are you freaking out like Higuian has scored goals for Napoli already?

2. It's eventually going to be Higuian's choice where he goes, so he can turn Napoli's contract offer down

3. Don't blame the club for something they can't control.

Goose

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree with the guy above me.
But I heard Higuain already signed with Arsenal a while ago. They just haven't announced it yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

I speculated based on the interview with Higuain's brother yesterday but it was just a feeling. You on the other hand seem to just be putting down your feelings as fact which is just pointless. What is the source of your info?

Agree0 Disagree0

How long have we been in so called advanced talks and still not sealed the deal?
How long have we been known to be interested? Weeks? Months? Yet other teams complete thier deals within days.

It is the same with every single transfer we make.

Agree1 Disagree0

If Arsene wanted Higuain that badly he would have got him. There is more to this transfer than meets the eye and that the media are trying to make of it. Wait till the end of July

Agree0 Disagree0

1. This isn't true.
2. If it were it wouldn't be our fault we did all we could. We can't control Madrid.
3. Why don't you have some patience and stop jumping to conclusions?

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop getting your panties in a twist the papers write lies to sell papers his brother/agent has already said a move to arsenal is close so wait and see

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellow gooners you can take this post with a pinch of salt. Napoli' eccentric owner has been quoted saying 'napoli do not want cash plus player just cash', chelsea have had a £49.3m offer accepted by napoli and man city are now interested in him again after a stella performance against brasil last night. Madrid want bale and will need extra cash like the sale of wantaway striker higuain for £22m for instance with cash up front. i'm not saying we will get higuain but I can guarentee he will not be playing in italy next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've read that it was Di Maria + £25mil not Hig. He will still be joining us.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm just keeping the faith we will get him despite som last minute nerves!

Should it not happen, I'll be the grown man crying in the North Bank come August!

I blame Metal Gooner. I wasn't even interested in Higuain til he pulled my coat tails on the guy! Lol

COYG!

Agree0 Disagree0

You always here player plus money transfers being talked about in the media but it never happens with big players involved. Can you remember the last player plus cash transfer that's worth remembering?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hows about we actually lose out first before we start jumping out of windows

Agree0 Disagree0

Cole and gallas? Eto and imberhimovic or however it spelt. Only two spring to my mind. Very rarely it happens

Agree0 Disagree0

^^Samuel Eto'o

Agree0 Disagree0

Gallas - cole

Well this is totally bonkers. And don't want it to be accurate.

Times are reporting Real Madrid have offered Higuain to Spurs in a Bale exchange.

Also another rumour doing the rounds is that we've cooled on Higuain to chase another target.

Lets hope this is all false

Believable20 Unbelievable54

Higuain would choose us over spurs

The only target acceptable to chase other than Higuain at this point is Lewandowski

Agree0 Disagree2

Higuain won't go to Spurs. Simple as that. He doesn't want to play Thursday nights.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is not true, madrid would not offer a player they could get £22m cash for tomorrow as part exchange. They are more likely to offer another player who bale will replace like di maria for example if they deem him to be surplus to requirments. The only way higuain will go to the spurs down the road is if they request him however madrid will then have something to bargain with to try and get bale cheaper. In my opinion expect cash for both deals not saying we will get higuain although starting to look slightly promising.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's Di Maria plus cash not Higuain they've offered
