while you eds are busy about Lallana, Origi, Shaqiri, Markovic, Sanchez, Shaw, Herrera and so on, what is the truth behind our superstar tandem of Remy and Debuchy? are we seriously looking at these world class players?

athletic bilbao are going to attempt to sign santi cazorla attempting to replace ander herrara. really hope santi stays but if he leaves wenger best hold out for some good money as there are a lot of potential replacements for cazorla

Believable14 Unbelievable16

Got a feeling they'll go for Arteta

Agree1 Disagree2

Santi isn't Basque

Agree2 Disagree0

They only sign Basque players.

Ed are arsenal interested in Vidal and if they are do you see anything developing?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't know of any chance of Vidal moving to Arsenal, sorry.}

bad news my sources are telling me that the Aurier deal has hit problems. first and foremost the player wants to come but toulose would prefer to sell to a club willing to pay the transfer upfront (in my last post) which has now alerted Monaco and psg where both clubs will pay the fee in a one off payment this is currently at a stale mate as the player has his heart set on the arsenal and not interested in a switch. I am trying to find out more.

Believable13 Unbelievable20

To be honest with you I would bet my my wife and kids he will be with soon

Agree0 Disagree0

Difficult to understand why we would do this considering we are sitting on so much cash and the fact its £8m and not £20m which maybe understandable. If this is the case and he is a player Wenger really wants then its short sighted to say the least. I would not be surprised however based on our record in closing out deals to date unfortunately. :(

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmm, if that's right, it bodes very ill for us.

Not willing/able to pay 30 or 40, or even 20, upfront is one thing (a bit discouraging, but perhaps the reality of not having a billionaire daddy with an open wallet).

Not being able to pay under 10 upfront would mean. we need to stop dreaming, as the most we'll see is a total of 20-40 spent, with structured payments and, most likely, with some of it recouped by sales.

In other words, forget a real challenge for the title. No chance. United badly underperformed with their squad last year, look like they really might spend 100-200 mill as some predicted, and. still managed to take four points off us last year. City and Chelsea allso both likely to be a fair bit stronger. Remy and Debuchy and unwarranted optimism for a deadline day bargain will not be enough.

But, fingers crossed, you may not have any sources.

Agree0 Disagree0

I really hope this isn't true we badly need Aurier, he could become extremely good

Agree1 Disagree0

Aurier's great going forward but to be perfectly honest his defensive work rate is suspect--got caught out of position a couple times for Cote d'Ivoir. I am concerned that he would leave Mert high and dry without a quick DM to cover for him.

I think he's got potential to be a good signing but going to trust AW on this one

Being a massive Evertonian myself, i'm gutted to inform you that James MCcarthy will be signing for arsenal for a fee of around 24 million. I know his girlfriend well, they've told the landlord they're moving out and have inquired about an appartment in Hoxton, North London

Believable2 Unbelievable88

Wouldn't shock me, maybe we can unveil him and remy together let's see what chelski and city make of these two joining us!

Agree0 Disagree2

Why would any Arsenal player live in Hoxton it's no where near London Colney where they would be working most days and on top of that isn't a great area at all lol

Agree1 Disagree0

Is he a dm or just a usual cm? I can't remember. If cm can't see it tbh. Wouldn't pass on Cesc for him surely. Any eds know anything?

I find it abit weird with amount of money these guys make, they will be renting!

Agree3 Disagree0

Hoxton! You must be have got that wrong. I lived in Islington all my life and I can honestly say that Hoxton is not the chosen abode of professional footballers. Hadley Wood, Totteridge, is more the norm for Arsenal players. It's near the training ground and was always a favourite.

Agree2 Disagree0

I think he's a very good player with many of the qualities- has an engine, defensive discipline, tremendous fight, pretty good skill- we look short of and suffer badly from the lack of at times.

It's true, the greedy, greedy Gooner in me wants even more (and sure is teased by the mention of Vidal today) but as for Mccarthy offering the chance to improve our midfield of last year, yes; as for signing him being better than the majority of anyway-realistic people out there, yes; better than signing no one, hell yes.

But are we signing him? Oh, I doubt it. the renting thing sounds a bit off but more importantly his latest tweet, yesterday, sounds completely unlike that of a man on the move.

'Buzzing' that Coleman has signed up, great for club, etc.

Is there any interest from Arsenal in Son Heung Min?

Believable2 Unbelievable25

{Ed025's Note - i really dont know mate.. sorry..

Cheers, and to quickly quash this rumour, I assume this Vidal talk is a load of rubbish?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i cant see vidal at arsenal this summer doddy..

Eds. After last seasons promises and let downs in the transfer window. Did you notice a drop in posts on this site.
We were just curious as to whether people got so down about it that they could not bother to post anymore.
By the way I heard last night that the Balotelli deal that was supposed to be on in an earlier post looks like it has been scuppered due to?? Yes you have got it Arsene not wanting to pay what has been asked again.
Source? Ex Arsenal player friend.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - there was no lull in the posts golds, people come on to vent their anger at times as well as their support..

Ed do you know if Pedro is up for sale? Are we interested? If he isn't up for se why are barce sell sanchez who is twice as good?

Believable4 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona will listen to significant offers for Pedro. Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United are known to have enquired with his agent in recent months. PSG has spoken with Barcelona about the player last summer and in January. So there is really very little right now. It would not be a surprise to see interest from Liverpool if someone were to leave.}

Would love a response on this please Ed

I am impressed with the top scorer last season in mexico Enner Valencia he has shown his quality in the world cup too 3 goals in the 3 group games even though Ecuador are out now, he really caused koscielny problems and have u seen the leap the guy has?wow! also 7 goals in his last 6 international games scored against England friendly. Any news on him or interest from Arsenal? Much appreciated

Believable4 Unbelievable10

{Ed002's Note - To be frank, his ownership is a real mess and whilst some clubs might be trying to figure something out, reality might limit any viable transfer of Enner Valencia to perhaps Porto or somewhere else in north-western Iberia this summer. If anything happens, it will be a mess.}

C'mon Latin let's be honest before the England friendly if anyone seid watch out for Valencia we would have thought of Antonio. Don't be dazed by wc performances. Who watches Mexican football

Agree1 Disagree0

I know Maidstone but you can say that about really any player, until they go out and make a name for themselves. He has that hunger to always fight for the ball which is what I believe we need plus he's recent goal tally speaks for itself.

Thanks! for the response Ed would u be able to maybe explain what the actual mess is?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I would rather not to be honest.}
