I dont know how many times i need to say this! All we need is huntelaar, and with the fee only being 8-15m max as hes in the last year of his contract it would be a no brainer! Hes the clinical finisher we need and imo would put us back in contention for trophies.
Giroud is a good player, but is he a player we want to start 100%, im not sure, i believe giroud will be a good player for us but huntelaar will add that something that we need.

Believable33 Unbelievable16

Huntelaar is edging 30 it won't happen

Agree0 Disagree0

All we need is pace, to work harder and to get stuck in more !
Stop passing the ball to death, try passing the ball forward instead of sideways or backwards, we need to have a work ethic when we've not got the ball like Barca, we need more unselfish running off the ball, we need to get stuck in more !!
Yes, we need a few new players, especially a top top striker.
I'm beginning to wonder if Wenger needs to change his game plan, its ok passing the ball like Barca ( albeit a poor mans Barca ) and looking neat and tidy, but, Barca are doing it with a team that has 5 or 6 WORLD CLASS PLAYERS, and I think this makes the difference, I just dont think this style of play works with a team of slightly above average players !

Not convinced by Huntelaar - great goals to games ratio for Ajax and Shalke. Average at 8 in 20 for Madrid, whilst 7 in 25 for Milan doesn't suggest he is a player for the big occasion.

Agree0 Disagree0

What we need is some world class players, players like Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Sami Nasari, ,,,,,,,,,,,oh, wait, we did have these !!!!

We were 19 points behind the pl winners last season and wenger believes this team would challenge the top boys this year is he deluded.

i do not want the club to get into debt i just want them to spend some money that is sitting in the bank on some quality.

i cant for the life of me understand why we spend £12mill on giroud and wont add £10 mill to that fee and get a proven finisher,we do not need any more experiments we need QUALITY,and before any 1 says about wages and fees i would just like to remind you we have over 150 mill in the bank and that does not include this seasons match day revenue..

time to spend arsene or time to go you decide.

jimmy the fish

Believable40 Unbelievable16

Wont add 10 mln for a proven finisher...

I will ignore the fact that he signed the top scorer in France... and would love to hear which "proven" goal scorer we should sign for 22 mln.

Players need time to settle in, while we are blessed with Cazorla's form: Podolski and Giroud will come good.

Billybob

Agree0 Disagree0

Players who cost more are also expecting higher salaries. Yes AW could afford to buy a top player for 25mil, but he would not pay him 150k-200k per week. Show me a player who costs 25mil and would play for us for 85k!

Agree1 Disagree0

Time, next year,in 2 years time, i am sick of the future stint being pulled, what about the people who are spending thousands on going to games each year?
billbob i was talking in jest about the fee you could add 10,12,15,18 mill to giroud fee and we could still afford it.let me ask you this who would you prefer in an arsenal shirt giroud or benzaman, dzecko(spelling) and they are both proven goal scorers.
we should of replaced rvp with a like for like deal, wages offered and fee the way we do things is no different than ajax,WE HAVE BECOME A SELLING CLUB.
Do you think just because jack says he is going to stay at arsenal for life that will happen?how many time have we heard an arsenal player saying that before?
let me ask you this,if 5 years down the line we have still have not won anything and we have the same transfer policy do you think jack will stick around if a huge bid for him comes in?? A player wants to win things that is how his career is measured.

we need a change the football has become predictable and easy to play against and to be honest i am sick of the same old BS coming out of the club.

jimmy the fish

Agree0 Disagree0

Who says football people aren't deluded in their view of money, yeah all we have to do is add TEN MILLION POUNDS!! To the 12 million we already spent.

Transfer fees can't carry on like that.

In Arsene I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

How am i being deluded when there is over £150 mill sitting in the bank.
benzaman is on about E175K A WEEK NOT £.
IF WE WERE WILLING TO OFFER RVP AROUND £140K A WEEK ARE YOU TELLING ME THATS A MILLION MILES AWAY FROM E175K A WEEK?
the AGM proved that the supporters have had enough, they are sick and tired of sticking their hands in their pockets for same excuses every year.
what will the IN ARSENE WE TRUST FANS DO WHEN HE EVENTUALLY GOES,WILL YOU FOLLOW HIM OUT?
I want us to work within our means and spend some of that huge WAD thats sitting in the bank is that too much to ask for?
let me ask you this,if we get rid of all the deadwood over the next 2 transfer windows and knock around £20 mill a year of the wage bill and we still do not bring in any quality replacements which we can aford will you be PI**** OFF THEN?

3 points aside, the best news is that Jack looked like he'd never been away. Everyone was thinking we need to give him time to get back to the standard he previously was and to be patient but he was a class above so many players today.
In the last few games where we've gone 'midfield - can't find opening - kick back to Mertesacker/Vermaelen' about a million times, Jack is the one who never tried to play back to our defense but looked for openings ahead of him, not to mention his superb attacking runs only stopped by being kicked at by the QPR defence.
I can't believe he's been out for over 1 and a half years and can still put out a performance like that, incredible.

Don't need to buy a £50m forward in Jan just get Theo to sign up please.

Don't care what Theo haters say came on today a made a difference as always. Good deliveries today, should have had a pen.

Come Ivan, pull you head out your arse!

(Not saying I don't want more signings and dross departures mind)

Yep - he worries defenders and creates space - allowing us to score. When he doesn't play we struggle to break defences down.

Agree0 Disagree0

Play theo in the centre and watch him get twenty plus goals a season

Agree0 Disagree0

Spain Gooner, I get that your opinion differs from mine and that's fair enough.

My point is valid though and is backed up by fact. When we are without him we have no pace in thefront line and we are very passive in the final third. All he wants is to get I behind to either finish or provide!

We have had players who are one commitle, RVP, fab, Nasri, cashley, Clichy, Flamini etc etc. this boy has come out and openly said he wants to become a legend at OUR club.

I say sign him up as a priority!!

Adam P

Agree3 Disagree0

Theo is needed more than ever
just insane to let him go, no one sells a player in jan unless for stupid money or a quality player is available like theo is, it just doesn't happen that often.
as much as some plonkers don't like theo he can and has delivered for us, something the majority of our current set up haven't done nor look like doing

Agree1 Disagree0

We must sign Theo. he is a high risk player so will make mistakes and frustrate at times. But his stats don't lie, and this season we have been better when he's been on the pitch. Sign him now!

Agree0 Disagree0

Our team without pace is a totally different team, it is very apparent when Theo and Ox aren't on the pitch. In my mind, like the other guy said signing him should be a prioroty.

Very, very, very lucky. But I'll take it...

Couple of quick points:

Defence still looks shaky and we no longer have they attack to say if you score 4 we'll score 5. Our beautiful flowing football attack has gone and been replaced by a dull, blunt attack. All because we sell our best players:/

We've needed an experienced GK for a while now, yet we allow one to go to QPR who we could have easily got to teach and nurture Szcz. Why?

I'll never, ever say I want rid of Wenger but why, why, why, does he start Ramsey on the right of midfield. He is a CENTRAL midfielder!

Without change upstairs, we'll go no where. The team is amongst the most dull, boring and blunt team if have ever seen pull on an Arsenal shirt. Serious investment is needed!

G95

Believable24 Unbelievable14

Had it never occurred to you that some players want to play week in week out, why would Cesar leave inter to be number one then come to us to sit on the bench.

Clg

Agree1 Disagree0

Did I mention sit on the bench? No, I said we need an experience GK to nurture Szcz. I didn't say anything about he wouldn't play.

Pipe down Clg and read the post before making yourself look stupid.

G95

Agree1 Disagree1

So you think Wenger will drop Szczesny to the bench?

Clg

Agree0 Disagree0

If we bought an experienced GK, I'd bench him. Just so he can watch him and learn from him and to not allow him to become to cocky.

G95

Agree1 Disagree1

Do you play a sport? You don't get better by watching you get better by playing and if you honestly thing Wenger will drop him then you need to start thinking 'before you make yourself look stupid' He just made the guy his #1 he is never going to buy a new Gk after that.

Clg

Agree0 Disagree0

You clearly haven't seen graham sides before they are boring too and they shut up shop after 1 goal... don't complain even we got 1 goal...Man Utd and shyt always got lucky like this and we need more of results like this.

Agree0 Disagree0

In MY opinion, I'd rather have a GK with more experience in goal than Szcz for now. Surely learning from an exp GK in training would benefit Szcz, no? I don't really think I made myself look stupid by expressing an opinion many people will agree with. You made yourself look stupid by assuming I meant to bring Cesar to put him on the bench, which I clearly never stated. GK is a position we have failed to deal with now for a long while now and in MY opinion has cost us a title or two.

And to the guy who struggles with English, I didn't see many of the Graham years as I'm too young but as I clearly state I said it was from the teams I have watched and I know I'd rather watch us score 4 or 5 than scrape a 1-0 with a dull, blunt attack and a shaky defence. But I suppose, you have right to your opinion, I just don't agree with it.

G95

Agree1 Disagree0

What arent you understanding Szczesny will not be dropped so any keeper coming in is going straight onto the bench.

Clg

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger was saying earlier on in the year, when he was playing well and was keeping clean sheets, Mannone was nearly now number 1, so he clearly is willing to drop him.

G95

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that why when Shez was fit he put him straight back into the team he was just trying to give Vito confidence.

Clg

Agree0 Disagree0

It was MY opinion, and if you don't agree with it then I couldn't give a sh1t:)

Is it just me but I find myself during the last couple of games " God he sucks or Take him out", it's about Aaron Ramsey

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Oct 2012 16:57:47
Not a the best of performances but a win is a win. Never really got on his back but Ramsey is just woeful again and again, he is not good enough for Arsenal right now, he should at least be loaned.

BgdGooner

Believable23 Unbelievable8

I have been saying for two seasons now Ramsey is NOT a PL player, championship maybe but not Arsenal material.

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you on about bruv he's a quality centre mid he's just rubbish out wide

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Oct 2012 16:54:44
Bad performance again.. Lucky to win but this may create some sort of belief. Giroud is not top quality, Cazorla's miss was shocking, Wilshere was a bright spark, Gervinho is Wengers worst signing since Squillaci, actually Santos is his worst signing including Squillaci. We need Szczesney back. Sagna played well.

Believable14 Unbelievable21

27 Oct 2012 16:32:27
We are no longer a force-some serious thought needs to be put into who should be at the helm. Money HAS to be spent in Jan. I'm sick of people saying we'll sign him and we'll sign them, we just need to buy experienced, proven players, no more future stars.

what's with santos starting surely we have a better option than that ! and as much as I like Sagna Jenks has been brill so far this season !

Believable20 Unbelievable4

Jenks offers nothing going forward

Agree0 Disagree0

Offers nothing going forward? Are you watching the game? He is the best crosser of the ball we've had in a while and he does that from attacking positions. Shouls have kept him at right back and played Sagna at left back.

27 Oct 2012 14:22:15

I just want to see a strong performance and a comfortable win please!

i have lost all faith in wenger and its only a mater of time before we run out of luck and wont qualify for the cl.
he will never change his transfer policy and it is his policy not the boards.
all the talk the last couple of week's of the pitch is about the new kit contract worth about £25 mill a year, and i just dont give a **** any more because all that money will just sit in the bank and wenger will refuse to spend it.

thanks arsene but you have had enough time to sort out the shambles and had the money to improve it and you have failed and refused to do it.

Believable31 Unbelievable25

Love wenger for what he's done for arsenal, one of the best managers in the world... but think he has had his day at arsenal & time to move upstairs & get a new manager with fresh ideas, another trophyless season is not good enough...

Agree1 Disagree0

I would accept the way we do things at the club if we had no money but the facts are in black and white.
wengers is trying to play attractive football but we do not have the players of the same quality of the teams above us and this is why we wont win anything.
i am sick of hearing next year and when this player is fit and yet we have £160 mill in the bank..

time for a change

Agree0 Disagree0

So its been luck that we have qualified for the champions league 14 times in a row, so has wenger been investing in horseshoes and rainbows for the past 15 years?

Agree0 Disagree0

I was unaware that all this money was AW to spend....i mean do you really think you want the club to win more than he does? Instead of finding blame with Kroenke or Gazidis you critique the one man who has kept this club both relevant and successful, and has done it in both and ethical and fiscally prudent manner.....the shortsightedness of a few!
