Seriously,

Can anybody shed any light on these Benzema rumours.

Lots of reports (if you believe them) saying we are offering £40m and are having talks.

I'd love to believe it Dags! But I think with the manager and agent both saying he's staying it looks like someone's blowing smoke! Although if anyone is a fan of the Twitter rumour mill there was that photo uploaded with Benzema seemingly saying goodbye in a very cryptic message, and him not on the plane with the rest of the RM Squad!

I know no light whatsoever has been shed but I thought I'd give my opinion on it!

Seriously though , these Benzema rumours are getting ridiculous . A player follows a page on Twitter and posts a photo on a plane and he's signing for Arsenal? Messi followed John Terry and some other Chelsea page so every Chelsea fan jumped on the idea that Messi was joining? Twitter is full of stupid rumours and I wouldn't even listen to any of it . Let's just look forward to the new season whatever player we may sign .

Though i never feed into these twitter rumours, this one is a little more concrete than most. Benzema uploaded the picture to his official instagram. He was on a private plane headed to who knows where, while the rest of the Madrid squad was heading to China to continue their pre season tour. The caption of the picture was "#directionturfu" which translates to "next stop, the future" he also wrote "the past is the past." I know thay could mean nothing, but it's much more of a legitimate signal than following a few other players accounts on twitter. Meanwhile Kike Marin has continuously reported that Arsenal are very confident of signing Benzema. Kike Marin is one of, if not the most, reliable AFC transfer source i know. One of the only sources i actually trust. I would be surprised if we sign him, but at least it seems like we will genuinely try.

He was pictured on stage with Real Madrid team mates at their tour today so hopes shut down there .

Is there any change on the Carvalho interest? I know he is injured but I'd still go for him. He could use the time injured to bed in to the club and new surroundings and then challenge Le Coq for DM when he is fit.

The thing is, there's never a guarantee that a player is going to be as good after an injury Bacon, just look at Falcao.

Another thing is, there's never a guarantee that a player will ever completely shake off an injury, just look at Owen, Hargreaves, Diaby, Wes Brown etc.

It's crazy. Why on earth would you spend 30 million on an injured player.

Lol ubistonk I was thinking the same thing the other day. Some people as soon as a name is mentioned, he's the best of the best, even if they've barely seen the player play lol.
