there is one player i can't wait to see on the pitch again and that is rosicky. now people may disagree with me but he makes things happen he runs at the defence and when he plays he always tries to speed things up and always gives 100%.

Sounds just like what Arsene said about him on Arsenal.com, Well done!

This is exactly the point I made over a week ago now, a very underrated part of our attacking potential.
Another one of my points was that Gibbs was missed as he was direct created problems for defences' and was the extra man in attack. We saw glimpses of this against Everton.

I totally agree, we were a far better team when he played last year, he just drives the team forward, not sideways and backwards like Ramsey.
Also, he gets stuck in, goes for the 50 / 50 tackles, he's much missed.

The sooner he returns, the better if you ask me !

Ed Bild are reporting that we are going to match Goetze's buy out clause of £30 million. Do you know if a) such a clause exists in his contract and b) if there is a realistic chance of him becoming an Arsenal player. I find it very difficult to believe personally.

Thanks

Invincible49 {Ed002's Note - It was suggested a while back that the minimum fee that Dortmund would accept was 37.5M euros - whether that is in his contract or not I don't know. Arsenal's interest in the player has been known for more than a year - but I am not so sure you will see him moving in January to teh Emirates.}

Hi ed, this maybe a long shot and tell me straight if its a stupid request! but if you get a chance could you list (if you know) what clubs would actually be able to afford the fee (if it was say 40 million euros) and wages (say 150 000/week)? thankyou in advance
Bedford Gooner {Ed002's Note - I guess both Manchester clubs, Chelsea, AC Milan, Palermo, Juventus, a number of Russian sides, the major Spanish sides if they raised money via sales, Byern Munich, Southampton.}

Southampton is an interesting one, have they got a wealthy backer? ed, if in the summer arsenal do get a bit of money through the front loading of the shirt sponsorship deal we should be able to afford the fee but would i be right in saying that we would never pay the wages (well above our limit)? thanks
Bedford Gooner {Ed002's Note - I would rather not get sucked in to discussion about wages, but the fee is affordable if the club wish to pay it - keep in mind that the player would have to agree as well. Southamption are financially well placed.}

Ed -Did Arsenal make a bid to sign Mario Goetze in summer 2011 & are we still interested in him?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - Arsenal did make an approach and like Manchester United and Barcelona they were knocked back by Dortmund. Goetze has identified his favourite teams as Barcelona and Arsenal. There has also been interest also from Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and AC Milan - who I suspected were shifting their interest in Ganso or Fernando to Goetze. Chelsea know that there will be pressure from elsewhere to buy the player - most notably AC Milan and the major Spanish sides - and are of the opinion that a move to England will probably not come about - although I suspect Manchester United will look to the player again.}

Edd do you think Sagna will leave and do you see debuchy as his replacement {Ed002's Note - Sagna possibly; Debuchy no.}

I vehemently disagree with those who is giving Oxlade-Chamberlain stick. Sure expectation can sometimes be over elaborated but this kid is still so young & if you think about where he was 2 seasons ago, its astonishing how quickly he has developed. What I would disagree with in terms of the position he plays in, from the Milan game last season he should have been kept in central midfield . That's where Wenger sees him in future anyway so why not let him develop there rather then chucking him out on the wings. That's my view at least.

I agree i would much rather see him get a run of full 90s in the under 21's. building a solid understanding or the center roll. also building a bond and understanding with his future midfield partner eisfeld. those two will be the jack and santi of tomorrow

Agree0 Disagree0

Oxlade looks excellent when played wide, yet Wenger is trying to turn him into more central player. Whilst he has played Ramsey, a central player out wide & Gibbs a left-sided midfield player originally, at left-back!

Agree1 Disagree0

The Ox is a winger with all the traits of a winger, he is not a CM or ACM. Wenger is notorious for playing people out of position apart from Walcott who is begging to be played out of (his natural) position. Perhaps Walcott should say he wants to be a winger then he may get the opportunity upfront.
Pod is not a left winger, Ramsey is not right winger, Ox is not a CM, Arteta is not a DM, Verm is not a LB, Gerv is not a striker. To be honest I am not sure what Gervinho is, a winger who doesn't cross or a striker who doesn't shoot?

Agree0 Disagree0

Oxlade-Chamerlain is in fact a CM. It's his natural position. His speed and directness and other attributes allow him to do well on the wings, but it's not his natural position.
