Ok I said I was going to post on here more often so here goes.
Tomorrow morning when you wake up the Daily Mail will have published a story regarding Olivier Giroud. I personally would see him as a major signing, almost as a useful Chamakh. If he does join along with Podolski does that mean Podolski is likely to go on the wing? Or does it mean that Chamakh and Park will be leaving? If Park did leave would people be disappointed with him leaving? I personally would have wanted to see more of him. I was at the Bolton game and the Man City game in the League Cup and he did look dangerous and upstaged Chamakh.
Other news coming from Ligue 1 is from Lille and Eden Hazard. He has said that he has decided to play in the Premiership next year. In my opinion I wouldn't get my hopes up. Yes he is a very good player but I believe he will be another Samir. Wherever the money is he will go. Also although our wingers might not be as World Class but surely Chamberlain, Walcott, Gervinho, Podolski and Ryo will do for a season. Would you guys welcome Hazard or see him as the slut of the footballing World like I do?

Hope to hear everyones views on this

Sign your post or don't trouble me with this kind of phenomenology about tea bags

Agree0 Disagree0

And I forgot to sign

According to the press liverpool are in for giroud as well, would cost a fair whack but i would imagine we are still a better bet for a frenchman coming to these shores.
a bag of cement is better than chamakh, shame park hasn't featured hardly one bit, must be something else other than talent that prevents him from any pitch time, assume its contract wrangles over his army delay meaning we are paying more than we originally wanted to.

Agree0 Disagree0

First reply, you tell him to sign his post, but don't sign yours?

Standard.

Hazard is nothing more than a overpriced Nasri with more hype. For me I would always prefer Gotze over him.

Sydney Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

"Idiotic ITK"

Hazard is a media w***e but take nothing away from him he is a star in france and will soon be everywhere. Just attitude problems.. And mate arsenal dont even have a chance. City the fav and if spurs qualify for ucl then maybe.. As for giroud no interest as of now. Yes girmandi scouts him but we do that with almost every other player. As for some one who mentioned gotze up there, well our boat has sailed.. We talked with gotze somewhere in jan, but could not convince him we could offer him anything better than bvb.. Same for eriksen. He dont want to move to london for now. These two wont be moving next season. After that? I dont think we will get any one of them until something very dramatic happens: like arsenal winning ucl or epl..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ox on his day is better than hazard and nasri combined

Agree0 Disagree0

^ really? on his day? what are you even on about. stop picking mushrooms.

As for hazard being the star of french football....gervinho was the star of french football last year, and he's had a below average first year in the premier league.

The club has received A LOT of interest in Song. PSG, RM & City all dropping big numbers.

Arsenal aren't listening to any offers and at the moment Song is aware of the interest and is happy at The Emirates.

Believable12 Unbelievable8

Songs about to receive a much deserved new contract. The guy loves arsenal he has no interest in leaving

is there any interest in nzonzi or hoilett if blackburn get relegated what do you think Ed {Ed002's Note - Hoilett.}

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Don't think we need Hoilett but have read that Newcastle are after him as the most likely suitor as are Villa (lol) and some other mid-table (Sunderland I believe) {Ed002's Note - Bolton, Spurs, Sunderland, Newcastle, Stoke, Arsenal and possibly Aston Villa and QPR have been interested - plus a couple of clubs from Germany, including Bayern Munich, and Marseille from France. I understand that Roma have dropped their interest after an offer of a pre-contract agreemnent was spurned. The English sides were at a disadvantage in the chase for Hoilett now as he is in to the last six months of his contract and he can talk to interested parties from outside of England but as time moves on that is becoming less of an issue. Blackburn will offer him a new deal but I doubt he will be interested, in the same way as a move to Bolton, Aston Villa or Stoke is unlikely. If pushed, I would say North London or foreign shores are the most likely destinations - and I do expect him to leave this summer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

(im orginal poster) hoilett will great addition to midfield hes got pace and can shoot just get couple other signings in now got podolski bring in some others messi i think lol jokes nah need a cb, a strong cm and possibly a replacement rb

Ed how sure re you that podolski will sign {Ed002's Note - It is very likely indeed. I would assume it done all bar injuries etc..}

Believable12 Unbelievable5

Stop asking the same questions..its boring

OK question..Sky News and the media have all said that Chelsea have agreed a fee and terms with Marin and will sign in June.

With Poldolski all we hear are rumours but no hard facts.....people say with Poldolski we cannot agree as not the start of the transfer window.

so how come Chelsea have with Marin ? are we really getting Poldolski or is it just media rumours ? {Ed002's Note - The agreement is between the clubs and Marin will move in July - as will Podolski.}

Believable8 Unbelievable3

We can agree everything it just cannot be made official and signed until the window opens. Our situation with Podolski and their situation with Marin are the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

Plus wenger has always stated out of respect for the other team, he never announces a signing until its official...i think
goonerdaz

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger is terrible in the transfer market, always has been, always will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Thing It Isnt Wenger In The Market It's Gazidiz (can't even be bothered to check the spell of that guys name Lool)

Agree0 Disagree0

There are some short sighted comments floating around...apart from the fact that negotiations are carrid out by ppl such as Dick Law(?)....but people seem to think transfer dealings are straighfoward...they are not...so stop laying blame without actual facts...we also do not know what deals were nearly made and players pulled out etc...
ES

Agree0 Disagree0

Podolski is done. Arsenal will not announce out of respect for Koln and their fans. Chelski do not have the nobility Arsenal has

Ed, what are the chances for benzema, has wenger been interested and what are the chances for him signing {Ed002's Note - I don't expect him to leave Real Madrid although there was serious interest from Arsenal and Juventus last summer.}

So there I am, enjoying my upcoming days off work and a friend of mine drops me a text saying he's heard the podolski signing is now done and it'll be announced in the next 48 hours.
Now I'm not suggesting he's right, but it's piqued my interest, since the media have all but signed poldi to us, I've stopped following his trail and moved on a to a few other players, as the poldi thing is an old story, so I'm kinda out of the loop!
So I was hoping to see if anyone can clear this up? I had a quick browse of the web and didn't find much, but if anyone has heard similar or has proof to confirm or deny, I'd really appreciate it!

D {Ed002's Note - An agreement has been reached for Podolski to move but he can not and has not signed anything.}

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Ahh ok, that makes sense, cheers ed

Guess I owe him a thank you!

Everyone wants M'villa at a price of around 22Million. Why not go for Lassana Diarra who we could get for half that amount? {Ed002's Note - Anzhi made a very significant offer for Diarra and Roma could not realise their interest although the player was open to a move to Rome. This leaves Galatasaray as the very likely destination for him. And he comes with significant baggage as I would have expected the Arsenal fans to recall.}

Believable3 Unbelievable8

WE SHOULD NEVER HAD SOLD HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE..

Agree0 Disagree0

We sold him because of his attitude not his ability

Agree0 Disagree0

Never gonna happen the Worm does not like Wenger

What would be the score with jesus navas? great great player and obviously would have a high asking price but would he ever move?

Any thoughts ed's?

R.O.B {Ed002's Note - Don't hold your breath.}

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Not saying we're going to go for him, more for if anyone was gonna go for him. What would his asking price be ed?

R.O.B {Ed027's Note - Nobody would he gets homesick, the only reason he was fine in South Africa is becasue his whole family was there, and it was only for a while, but i imagine it would be 25-30m

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers ed, probably the strangest excuse i've heard of a player not wanting to move though

R.O.B

I wish more Arsenal players got 'homesick'.

Don't know if Arsenal was in for Marin but glad we did NOT sign him. He is a hell of a DIVER.

Stefan {Ed002's Note - In addition to Arsenal, AC Milan, ChelLiverpool, Spurs, Napoli, Juventus and Roma have all shown an interest in Marko Marin in the recent past. However, your comment makes you sound jealous and bitter.}

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Like a lot of your comments ed make you sound the same? {Ed004's Note - No I don't even follow Chelsea or like Ed 2 ;) lol jk... and will also admit you sound very bitter and jealous here.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Saying someone is a diver makes someone sound bitter?

I wouldnt mind Arsenal signing a player like marin, because if anything, to do it so early is a suggestion that the club would be trying to prepare for the coming season WELL. However, marin is a diver, and if chelsea have got him, fair enough for them, its no surprise that they have got someone over us, and it will add to their list of midfielders who are good but not great.

Hope that doesnt make me sound too bitter

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm also a bit confused how Ed002 could consider the OP to be "bitter and jealous" calling somebody, who clearly IS a diver, a diver... 0_o

=Miss Arsenal. {Ed002's Note - I am sorry to have left you confused Miss Arsenal.}

Agree0 Disagree0

@ ED
LOL i am from germany and never have been an admirer of him. so a BIG NO, i am NOT jealous mate ;)

I have seen enough matches of Werder Bremen to know what i am talking about. probably more than anybody else (regarding Marin i mean)

Stefan

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 you need a bit of an attitude check on here... If it weren't for posters like the OP this BBS wouldn't exist and yet look how you talk down and sarcastically to us.

Point and fact is, there was LITERALLY no reason to call somebody "jealous and bitter" over them stating a fact? It made not one iota of sense for you to do so and quite frankly was not relevant to the context of their post. Unless of course you're a CFC supporter? Then it would make perfect sense, however I assumed "Ed002" was a Gooner.

=M.A. {Ed002's Note - I can easily enough leave the Arsenal posts to rot until an "Arsenal" Ed wanders if you are not happy. Clearly you are very sensitive and we already know that I have upset the many followers of Perez and advocates of Arsenal tapping up. Let me know. I'll leave everything else for now}

whats the news on beneyoun for next year ed? {Ed002's Note - He will be sold by Chelsea in the summer.}

Believable6 Unbelievable2

To us or another club ed? {Ed002's Note - I don't know but if Arsenal and Benayoun want a deal I am sure Chelsea will give them a good one.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He might stay if the price is low.
he is an experienced player that would be a good addition as a squad player.
And maybe while at Arsenal he may get involved in coaching or scouting.

farfan extended his contract with schalke so he's out huh

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Farfan's quite good but he's not worth buying when we have Gerv Theo and Ox. We need better than that if we're going to buy a winger to usurp them. Farfan IMO is the same quality as Jarvis. WHo isn't bad at all but not necessarily our standard?

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank god for that he s useless

Dnt know why, but have got that nagging feeling...Wenger might make a move for Gourcuff .If anyone can make him relevant again, its AW.

--sLy

Believable4 Unbelievable14

Highly doubtful; he's been in lacklustre form at Lyon and has only just returned from injury. He'll stay there for at least another season to try and prove his worth, and if he returns to his Bordeaux form [*drools*], then I can see Wenger being interested; he's already tried to sign him several times over the years, so Gourcuff is evidently a player that he likes the look of.
