The mirror are reporting that Arsenal have made a £20million bid for Rooney and that we have had a £6million bid for Grenier rejected. Seems realistic but don't know whether or not to believe it, I know I want to.

Now also linking us with Torres, load of rubbish in my opinion

HarryP

Agree1 Disagree1

I for one would not be surprised to see torres in an Arsenal Shirt next season. He has hada a horrible spell at chealsea but you have to remember before that he was one of the best strikers in the world. He'll be cheap and AW is the sort of coach that just might be able to put a smile on his face and get him firing again.

Arsenal to enquire about wantaway lille midfielder Mavuba.

Think he would provide some of the solidity that our midfield provided we can't agree a deal for Fellaini.

Gunnersaurus

Believable5 Unbelievable41

*that our midfield needs provided.

Gunnersaurus

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe. although he has been linked with arsenal before- in fact when he was still at Marseille some 8 years ago.

He is now 29, you would think if wenger really wanted/rated him, he would've got him years ago?

But hey, he might be seen as an alternative to fellini I guess. As always we can only watch and wait.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini is being signed

Speaking to a very reliable source today about on going transfers.

Higuain is 50/50. Arsenal willing to pay good money but man city are also involved and ancelotti also trying to convince him to stay at real. There keeping David villa interest as a backup

Felliani is close but arsenal are not willing to pay his buy out clause. If they can agree a lower price then deal will be done.

Sanogo

Believable6 Unbelievable64

Hi. I'm an Everton fan and can assure you that Felliani won't be moving for anything less than the buy out fee. You are all deluded if you think he will. Buy out fees are there for a reason.

Leicester Toffee {Ed027's Note - I think you need to use the search function and look up buy out clauses

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jun 2013 20:22:45
The BO clause could be 100 million, doesn't mean the club won't be tempted by a lower offer, even more so if the player wants to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

His buy out clause is his buy out clause his club do not by any means want to sell him, if any club does not match it and agree a deal with him he will go nowhere.

Stop the woffling

Agree0 Disagree0

Many believe the buy out clause to be in the region of about £24 million, something like that, so Everton are not going to sell Marouane for less than that, Leicester Toffee is therefore correct when he says you're all deluded if you think he will

Arsenal to tie up £45.5m trio in the next week or so. The players include Fellani, Higuain and Cesar.

With these additions I can easily see Arsenal winning a double next season and maybe fininshing top 2 etc.

Believable22 Unbelievable63

Easily see us winning a double?. Add Rooney, Jedvaj and a decent out and out left winger, and i'd be with you on that one!

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget top two, we need to Finnish as champs, and I think this is almost possible if we get this trio. Must give Jenks game time as I think Sagna will be trouble this term, and try to push for a move.

The reasons for the delay in the Higuain transfer are tax matters.
Madrid would like to write the transfer in the upcoming seasons balance sheets. Trust me!

GermanGooner

Agree0 Disagree1

German Gooner,

Intriguing thought, but I assumed Real Madrid were like Glasgow Rangers - they didn't pay tax!

Scrap my previous post. Higuain transfer is being held back so that the team can get promote the new away kit with him in it. A stunt to get more fans to buy it.

Believable9 Unbelievable59

The new Away Kit for the 13/14 season will be officially launched on August 1st. You can place a pre-order from July 9th why would they wait until then to sign someone? So if we're waiting for the new kits we will not sign anyone until the 9th? There will be not decent players then

Agree0 Disagree0

The kit launch photos are 5 players- easy to google, it's Ramos, Benzema, Casillas, Alonso and Ronaldo.
I work for Emirates and we have the images around our HQ.

Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

They could use him to promote it if he signs yesterday or last January or whenever. All they have to do is put him in the new kit, stick a number 11 on the back and the shirts will fly out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pure speculation- please, I wish people would add, I think this could/might happen, I have a theory to share, etc, etc.

How things are worded are important in terms of reliable sources, etc or whether its just your own spec (nothing wrong with that btw).

But you make it sound like a statement of fact, where we can see your thoughts/theory about kit on the banter page, before posting it as something more tangible.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul in the post above.
They mean waiting for Higuain to sign for the launch of the Arsenal away kit, not Real Madrid away kit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers, I just noticed that! That makes the post even more odd though. If he's announced today then why would that stop someone buying the shirt?!

Julio Cesar, Yaya Sanogo, Marouane Fellaini and Gonzalo Higuain will all be arsenal players in the coming weeks. Expect an announcment sooner rather than later. No need to panoc, all these deals are all but done. I have it on good authority. Look back at this post on the 17th of august. I will refer back to this post when we announce the listed players. Good times ahead, with these signings we can push for the title. No joke.

CheetahChaz97

Believable49 Unbelievable35

Don't worry mate were not panocing

Agree2 Disagree0

Wow , I'll definitely remember you saying all these transfers first.

Agree2 Disagree0

Anybody could name these 4 as they are the rumours that have gathered most pace in the last 24hrs. And if having it on good authority is actually just reading the newspapers and listening to all the gossip then I also have it on good authority that we will sign Rooney, Grenier and Gonalons!

Agree1 Disagree0

We're not were. not so clever afterall

Agree0 Disagree0

We're not in for Rooney, never have been. The papers saying that we aren't going to buy fellaini because of wages are a load of rubbish. He's ours for certain.

Don't think so! How would u no this? Don't even think wenger knows who he wants

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheetah where are you getting this info from? We don't want names, just a rough idea so we don't assume it's guesswork (which it is)

Agree0 Disagree0

I pray you are right because we all deserve this for our beloved club

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would they leave it so late to announce them then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Leaving it late?? The transfer hasn't even opened yet! Chill out people, have a little faith.

conflicting news. on one hand someone is reporting, that higuain deal is off, as arsenal have pulled out to concentrate on another striker, as they feel madrid are wasting their time. the other striker speculation is rooney, but this too maybe a ploy to get madrid to sanction higuain. vicious circle indeed, however I feel, arsenal have just let higuain be and will try to wrap up another deal, if it happens, it won't be higuain, otherwise it will be a long transfer saga.

the other conflicting news is madrid have stopped negotiations with arsenal and are concentrating on getting bale from spurs, while the spurs are ignoring madrid and are trying to tie up deals for villa and some other player.

can anyone confirm if this is true or this is once again twitter ramblings? the source from twitter is generally quite reliable. however in this day and age, april fools day comes around quite often.

Believable12 Unbelievable52

This is a rumour site are you really hoping for a concrete answer?cause am pretty sure you won't get it here

Agree1 Disagree0

The only reason why Higuain has not yet been signed, are tax matters! The transfer shall be written in Madrids` balance sheets for the upcoming season. Trust me!

German Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard that the deal is confirmed and ready to be announced, be patient as there are 2 months of the transfer season yet to come. Rumour is higuian, cesar and fellaini are to be announced within the first week of July.
We've all probably come across this but to be fair there are contrictictions all over the net but I believe the source I heard this from more then nonsense tabloid press as he is very rarely wrong.

mate all this media bs is rather predictable. happens every year:
-first we are interested
-we meet his agent, pay the fee, agree wages
-than a "twist" comes out of nowhere
-we are still interested but face a big competition from another club.
-it's quiet for a while
-and than suddenly he goes to another club, apparently his agent is at fault

Agree0 Disagree0

All seems to have gone quiet on the Felliani front, I hope that the money involved (transfer fee and salary) isn't putting Wenger off. Think the big man would be a great signing.

Heard a whisper today that Fabianski and Mannone are off and AW may bring in Schwartzer as experienced cover for Szcheney

Personally would prefer Reina

Believable5 Unbelievable49

Wont happen schwarzer is looking for a 1st position in a world cup year.

aussie guy

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah let's get reina to come sit on the bench and collect a fat wage cause were short of them since few players are leaving

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd preferbAlmunia over Reina!

. or Richard Wright.

Screw it, I've even seen Ferdy in goal before and would sooner give him a shot!

And just to add to previous statements of NO interest in the guy, I've suddenly thought that taking Liverpoool cast offs would be REALLY scraping the barrel and just about as low as we've ever stooped!

No thanks.

Agree0 Disagree2

I wouldn't want to see Reina after ' that shirt incident ' with Cesc.

1404

Agree1 Disagree0

Mannone has signed for Sunderland - £2.8 million.

Cesar will be announced as an Arsenal player once the Confederation Cup is over. Negoiations will continue with his representatives after that - discuss wage / length of contract etc.

Fabianski will be offered a loan move i'd imagine.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can guarantee 100% that Arsenal are not interested in Fellaini, the scouts rate him highly but Arsene doesn't.

serge aurier posted a picture of himself on twitter in an arsenal shirt. possible signing?

Believable23 Unbelievable23

I'm trying to understand why people are clicking unbelievable when the picture is plainly out there and this guy is as typecast a POSSIBLE Arsenal SIGNING as it gets, in a position we do have concerns in.

I'd personally go so far as to say I'm very keen on the kid as he looks quality and I think he and Sanogo could well be important squad members in the future.

I'm as excited (and nervous) as the rest of us on the bigger signings we hope to see but hope we continue to try and identify younger talents like these whilst we're at it.
