Rejected the option to move to Bayern Munich last year as they would not give any guarantees of game time as he wants to be a starter. Atalanta had an approach rejected. Has been watched by a number of Premier League sides, including Liverpool (who opted for Diaz) and Arsenal (who now have Martinelli doing well). Arsenal have been looking at more versatile player but their real need for a Pepe replacement in the summer in addition to a Lacazette replacement. Gakpo extended his contract in January. but I am not aware of any declaring an interest.}

Hi ed002, do we have any interest in Martinez from inter?

{Ed002's Note - Lautaro Martinez (S) Inter don't want to sell and long-term admirers Barcelona and Manchester City are looking elsewhere although Barcelona would still like to add him in the summer, but significant sales would still be required. Real Madrid are trying to convince Inter to sell and will offer an assortment of players they no longer want in exchange. Atletico Madrid are interested if he becomes available but money would be an issue without a major sale - perhaps Joao Felix. There is support for him from an ex-Chelsea player who was a potential Director of Football at the club but he would be a little down the list of targets Chelsea has as they look to add a second striker. PSG could look to him if they lose Mbappe, which they probably will. Interest of Spurs Spurs and Arsenal will go nowhere as the player would also want Champions League football. Agent has been in London and Madrid talking to Premier League clubs. A move to Spain will be preferred if Inter can be persuaded to sell.}

Very interesting insight Ed. With Athletico Madrid running into financial issues and Joao Felix being potentially available for sale. Do you see Arsenal being interested in a move like that? The financials involved would be huge. Who has shown interest in Joao?

Juventus and Inter have enquired after a loan as Atletico need to reduce their wage bill. Barcelona interest will persist.}
