Is it right we are going to get shay given {Ed007's Note - It seems to be Arsenal and Celtic are interested. As a Celtic supporter I would rather we signed a better long term GK. Shay Given has said he would move to the SPL and I don't know how Mancini would feel selling him to a rival club in Arsenal}

edd any chance of giovinco joining arsenal as wenger wanted him a couples years ago. {Ed002's Note - I don't see him leaving Italy. Perhaps Napoli, perhaps Lecce.}

Further to Ajeno's post, i would add as per my previous post that people that believe we are better without cesc are either smoking something that attracts attention from the law, or just really do not understand life let alone football.
Cesc was nicked from his home country as a 16 year old, if you have kids of a similar age, look at them and imagine that!
He shone in his early days, so much so wenger let viera go.
He quickly was positioned as the pivitol figure at arsenal after henry left, that's right as a mere youngster he was expected to carry the weight of arsenal football club on his shoulders. He has stood and watched two of his team mates rolling round the floor in agony with broken legs, do you think this does not play on his mind. Then in his wisdom AW made this young man our captain, the weight of this has clearly effected his game, he has been critisiced by team mates and as any winner would do must of questioned himself a million times. Yet AW does nothing to releave him of this burden for the good of the player and team, instead tugs on emotional heart strings that the captain of arsenal should see out a contract! yet wenger himself tried to leave years ago for madrid only to be stopped by the board, pot, kettle??
When we beat utd many came on here spewing tripe of arsenal being better with out him, but went very quiet when that better arsenal got beat by teams such as villa bolton and stoke.
As they say be careful what you wish for, arsenal without a fit cesc would be a much poorer place.
And if he wants to watch the grand prix when not able to play, so what. I guess none of you have ever pulled a sickie?
World cup winner and you think we are better without him, tell you what lets get 11 eboue's shall we? Funny guys.

i think Arsenal will land Stewart Downing. I read an interview with him and he doesn't seem to have any interest in returning to Villa and he desperately wants to play Champions League football. I really don't have any proof that we're interested but then again do any of us?
