Now we have been linked to Isco from Malaga and Gotze from Dortmund who just signed a contract extension last season.

Well dont hold your breath...Man united need a paul scholes and ryan giggs replacement and its likely they will land gotze and we will buy some bargain bin replacement and rely on rosicky and diaby.

Agreed - these players are well out of our price range. Let's accept that any transfer price that is greater that 20 is highly unlikely (even before thinking about wages).

Something is not right at the club, and the statements about money can't be true. I's can't be a club philispohy that we have been basically net zero for transfer spending since 2005; because it wasnt the case from 1998-2005.

We clearly never recovered financially from the move to the Emirates.

If you move into a bigger apartment, and sell you car to furnish it, do you have money to spend?

Bad analogy I'm afraid. We moved apartments to a bigger place and we've sold to get through the initial pressure on our income but on top of that we've increased our income.....so once the initial "start up" costs are settled we should have money to spend.....or for the board to pocket......us fans just don't know which will happen yet!

We won't sign Gotze for one simple reason.

The kid has the potential to be HUGE, and very soon too.
By watching his reserve performances You can see now why he was rated higher than Gotze before his injury!
