Just thought this was some interesting stuff that I should let people know about: Song, Walcott and Djourou are all Home grown players owing so, if we do lose them/sell them this summer we will have to bear that in mind.

Personally, I don't think we should be selling Theo. He seems to have linked up to RVP much better this year and, when challenged for his place by the mighty Ox, seems to put in some good performances.

Thoughts?

Hope everyone has a great bank holiday

I agree, don't sell Walcott!

Cheesy lemon

Agree0 Disagree0

So are Coquelin and Frimpong, who, lets be honest will probably replace song and djourou should they leave, cos Wenger still believes in project youth.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is opinion. Why should anybody be remotely interested?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know why some Arsenal fans want Walcott out, he is the fastest player in world football and is still young

Agree0 Disagree0

If anyone's worried about the 3 players named above, don't be. While we should be seeking to get rid of Djourou, he's just signed another contract and anyone who's been unfortunate enough to watch him play know's he's worse than useless, so there'd be no interest from other clubs anyway. Song is nowhere near the world class holding midfielder we desperately need, but he's an integral part of Wenger's vanity project, so unfortunately he's going nowhere. Coquelin is actually a better option in that position, but he'll probably be off due to lack of opportunities. If Walcott's got a future at AFC, it's as a centre-forward. He's proven beyond doubt he's not a winger, but we might be able to use his pace up front in the same way we used to use Anelka. Or maybe not, in which case what's the point of having him?

Agree0 Disagree0

If thats the case he will also be going to Mancs as wenger will let RVP go to city hes got no balls to say no.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same Theo Walcott whose scored more premier league goals and more assists than G.Bale over the last two seasons? Oh and that's not a rumour or an opinion that's a FACT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even i think in same direction, we should not sell walcott as he understands the Arsenal's play. he will grow in his play

Agree0 Disagree0

To the Muppet above saying: "This is opinion. Why should anybody be remotely interested?"
Because it's a reasonable comment that may well affect transfer dealings.

Know some one who works for Irish sun, as i live in Dublin.According to my source Wenger wants Llorente to replace Rvp and he also wants Doumbia, to have a world class strike force. He wants to add a midfielder, from what i understand its Marvin Martin he wants and for 10mil is a bagain. I know he wants a wide player, but don't have any info on him, but i hear the keeper is Mcgregor from Rangers. He is only going to cost 2.5m.

Believable12 Unbelievable26

Absolute BS. Not sure why so many people are trying to spread false crap around...

There is NOBODY within any kind of press/media that knows ANYTHING of the ongoings surrounding Robin. Literally, nobody.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Dublin Gooner in disguise?

Agree0 Disagree0

I know someone who works for the Egyptian Times and he says that your man at the Irish Sun is a liar and cheat who reads rumours that have been circulating on the web for many days and tries to pass them off as his own 'factual information'.

Stezza.

Please believe me Afellay is on his way. Marvin Martin also, plus a new striker. If Djourou leaves we will add a centre back to. The keeper who is coming is Craig gordon.

Ed any substance to the Seydou Doumbia rumours? i think he could be a revelation in the EPL with his power, pace and finishing. Also of all the midfield playmakers we have been linked to who is most realistically going to come to be signed? Martin/ goetze/ Konoplyanka/ Dzagoev/ Affelay/ Belhanda? and for a youngster with potential why not sign Thorgen Hazard, he is meant to be the better of the 2 brothers in Edens opinion. Finally will the likes of Thomas Eisfeld/Jon Toral/Hector Bellerin see any game time in the first team this season?

cheers GOOCHINATOR {Ed002's Note - Firstly when making lists, please include spaces between names otherwise the post may end up being deleted as it messes up the line length and formatting. There was an enquiry from Newcastle and a failed offer from Lazio in January for Doumbia. Other clubs have had scouts at games but that is some way from making any serious enquiries for the player. Doumbia does a good job of talking himself up and CSKA will likely want £25M or so for the player as there is no pressure to sell. Roma and Arsenal are interested in the player but have yet to make any financial proposal and rumours persist of interest from Chelsea and Spurs. Someone putting a bid on the table will make this much more high profile - and it could be one that drags on all summer. Dortmund, Lille, Lorient and Anderlecht have enquired after Marvin Martin, but Valencia, Fenerbahce and Arsenal have been most serious in the pursuit of the Socheaux player. I suspect a move in the summer is very likely. Dzagoev has interested Chelsea in the past but Arsenal have shown a lot of interest this past year including sending a contingent to watch him play in Moscow back last summer. He will be available on a free transfer at the end of the year, not in the summer so a move now is less likely in my view. There is confirmed interest in Belhanda from Inter, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG and there is unconfirmed interest from Roma. The player says he wishes a move to Italy or Germany with Bayern Munich or Dortmund or to play for PSG if Italy Germany is not possible (seems he is not really sure where he wants to move to). A price of 30M euros has been quoted by Montpellier. My view on Goetze to Arsenal remains the same as my view on Hazard to Arsenal. Konoplyanka is interesting several EPL clubs including Chelsea, Fulham, Arsenal and Manchester United but I doubt he would move to sit on the bench. I doubt much will happen until the Euros have completed. Afellay has been out injured pretty much all of this season and I think future chances at Barcelona may be limited but the kid is keen to stay. However, I think it likely that he will be available in the summer and Barcelona will listen to offers. Italy looks like one option available to him if he is sold and there may be interest from the likes of Liverpool, Spurs and Newcastle.

I know nothing of the Arsenal kiddies - sorry.}

Hi Ed, just what was your response on Hazard to Arsenal in the case of your statement about Goetze. If I remember correctly one the Ed's attitude was if Arsenal really wanted it then it would happen. {Ed002's Note - My position was and remains that neither Hazard nor Goetze will join Arsenal this summer.}

With Chelsea looking like getting Hulk do you think it would be worth making a bid for Romelu Lukaku. He is seems unhappy with not being giving much of chance at Chelsea and looking for a loan move. With Hulk arriving his chances will be even more limited for the near future atleast.

Not a typical Wenger type signing but his size, pace and physical power will give us another possible demension up front and give us more options. Maybe a another rough diamond Wenger can turn into a star.

Believable18 Unbelievable19

Good shout! as he is a possible drogba wannabe looks like a perfect fit for arsenals needs,

Agree0 Disagree0

Or Sturridge who has not signed a new contact!!!!!!!!!!!

spanner

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah sign him up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could we nab Torres who is unhappy and may be happy to drop his pay to get what he wants? He will still earn enough to eat!
SY4

Agree0 Disagree0

Both sturridge and lukaku or unhappy and have enormous potential. we could give either more playing time than chelsea. only issue could be wages. but i reckon lukaku would rather play than get higher wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres will do well at euros so even if he leaves it won't be for cheap, at least not arsenal cheap, lukaku is a possibility however

Agree0 Disagree0

Would rather Sturridge any day.
N1FOX

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither of them are that great. Sturridge is a slow, even more one dimensional, greedy walcott. And if you have seen Lukaku he hs been horrendous seems totally out of touch and IMO is about as fast as Mertesacker. Definitely NO to both of them
kb

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, did you say Sturridge is slow? He will be way too expensive for Arsenal, maybe a slight hope if he doesn't sign a new contract but doubt it.
Its hard to say how good Lukaku is due to his lack of playing time.. but definitely not what Mr. Wenger looks to buy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be an interesting signing but I personally think that we shouldn't get him. Sturridge would be even worse that Lukaku.

Agree0 Disagree0

What pace!! The guy is as slow as Christmas and he does not look all that either.

Agree0 Disagree0

Terrible, slow and lazy. Sturridge much better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku is quicker than sturridge. only players quicker are ramires, cole and torres. and bosingwa was
