Arsenal Rumours
For some reason there has been a lot of transfer rumours around the stadium on matchdays. I know a couple of people that are on the Arsenal staff. They all claim that Wenger isn't to impressed with Koscienly so far this year. Iv heard that Cahill could be signed in January. Also there is a rumour about Daniel Agger joining Arsenal as he isn't getting much football with Liverpool.
In midfield I can't see there being much activity in the central areas. Though there is a lot of rumours about Honda in January.
Upfront the Benzema rumour is picking up pace though I can't see Wenger signing him. Would be a good one though.
In between the posts I think its a certainty that Almunias days are numbered. Not sure that Arsene will sign another keeper especially if Szczensy signs a new contract. Personally I would like to see Reina or an experienced keeper come in. To be fair though Fabianski has been doing great and Szczensy played well against Newcastle.

Arsenal's only transfer activity in the January window depends on how Fabianski plays in the upcoming weeks. Fabianski will be Arsenal's #1 for now even when Almunia is healthy because the Spaniards time in North London is finally up. Fabianski has been playing very well in recent matches due to him finally establishing a bit of confidence in himself. We are beginning to see the high-potential goalie Wenger has spoken so fondly of even during the Pol's disastrous spell in the winter of last year.

If Fabianski continues to play well then no goalie will be brought in, perhaps Almunia will leave though. If Fabianski returns to last year's dreadful form, then Wenger will buy an older goalie, probably Schwarzer.

No other signings will be made as there is plenty of depth this year. Wellington Silva (17 year old Brazilian starlet signed last year; currently playing for Fluminense) will join up in early January. He will be the only arrival if Fabianski's good form continues.

We don't need McGregor. No offence but the SPL is not a good indicator of class. Barry Ferguson was Rangers' skipper and talisman but could only manage a transfer to St Andrews. Artur Boruc went to Fiorentina to warm the bench. . . . .and lose weight!

The Arsenal need to keep Fabianski in nets, tell Chesney to wind his neck in and let Manuel return to Spain. A defensive rock is required to cement the back four. Djourou could be it, but not on current form. Subotic? We are stacked in midfield but a Hazard/Arshavin switch wouldn't be a surprise. Song, Wilshere and Frimpong (next season) have the deeper roles sewn up with Denilson and Diaby as back up. Sami, Cesc, Rosicky, Hazard (?) and Rambo will fight for the rest of the midfield slots with Lansbury and JET not far behind. Vela can go (for good money) and let's get Benzema. AW will get the best out of him. With RVP, Chamakh, Theo and Nicky B we will scare the crap out of the opposition. Add Benik Afobe next year. Who needs Lukaku?
