We have bid 26.8m for di Maria

Ozil seems done 140,000 a week 5 year deal according to almost every website on the web except arsenal.com

Have not heard anything on sky about di Maria, would have thought they would have said something if it had happened. Ozil still to be confirmed.

According to the BC we have signed viviano on loan with an option to buy. Still not on the arsenal website though.

Perhaps waiting to unveil Ozil too?

I don't think Viviano will start straight away, Shezza has done ok in the last few games, clean sheet against the spurs ain't bad. I think it will help puch Shez on knowing he has real competition for his spot.

Fingers crossed ozil goes through, I'm also hoping for some defensive cover. Last minute bid for Micah Richards anyone?

@ Norfolk - Ozil is a superstar. Regular first team Germany and RM. Not entirely sure what's wrong with Ancelotti. Surely there's room for Benzema, Bale, Ronaldo, Xavi/Khedira, Ozil, Di Maria/Isco in their attacking 6 (assuming 4 backs)? Leading Assists in La Liga last year, one of the highest tallies in Europe. And he can score

Apparently we want Pastore along with Ozil. That would make my day.

Why would we need him/want him? Too many creative midfielders there's no need for him and he hasn't been good at all in Ligue 1 so why would he be good enough for the Prem. spurs were after him but got Eriksen.

I'm ALL SET with Pastore.

Great player, but I'd take Ramsey over him any day at the moment. If Ozil comes in we really have zero need for him.

The mail are reporting we could make a surprise move for pastore from PSG. He has fallen out of favour recently and so we should be able to sign him for between £15-£20m. He's a decent player but do we really need him if ozil is coming in.

Would mitigate the need for a striker I guess as all 3 of Cazorla, Ozil and Pastore could play in a 3 behind a striker interchanging. Walcott and Giroud up top.

Another attacking mid? what's wenger thinking here we will score more than you. This signing will be immense Pastore, but for now will take it with a pinch of salt.

Apparently we have brought in Ozil (great addition), Ba on loan and Viviano on loan (would give other players a year to develop). Ed, any chance of us getting a defensive midfield with physical presence? {Ed044's Note - I am told by another Ed that Angel Di Maria is the player Arsenal are looking to add still.}

Heard we are offering Podolski and 30mil for Draxler.

Other than the injury, Why? Its clear Podolski is an awesome player and becoming a fan favorite. Is Draxler that good?

Although I love Podolski, I would much rather have Draxler on playing on the left. He is that good.

Pods is out for 10 weeks- come on think about it, they aren't going to accept that. Plus before the injury, as you say he was looking good.

They guy who broke gotze news, has close links to Ozil camp, and has said that Ozil deal has been verbally agreed.

Only sly is running with that story, everyone else has got Arsenal and ozil.

I don't know about this one lads, from what I remember of Ozil's situation is that he wanted to move only if Kaka remained at RM, but with Kaka now gone to AC I don't see why he would ant to leave, his main reason is gone. Also like I have said before these are top draw players, so if they are available expect other clubs to come in. United according to sky are sniffing, which makes sense, he is exactly what they need and they are happy to pay 200k we all know that's double what we want to do.

Basically I think too many things have changed in favor of Ozil staying for us to really get him, but me as all of us live in hope. I think Di Maria is the favourable player in all aspects don't know how come this has gone so quiet?

Wouldnt be too worried by what marca, they are the spanish equivilent of the daily star. All reports are that ozil is on his way. The Manchester United talk was most likely his agent sturring the rumour up to get a bigger contract from us.

This might sound bull but according to a source close to horst heldt Schalke 04 are considering selling one Julian Draxler for as low as £15M what a bargain if we get him. According to AS Luis Suarez is close to making a move to Real Madrid so we have an outside chance on Benzema and expect Cabaye to be signed by noon as Newcastle really want to sell £17M fee the compromise
