With 1 day to go in the transfer what is everyone's thoughts on our business?
I was expecting:
CM- Sambi looks like he has potential but we should have offloaded Xhaka and brought someone like Bissouma in as well.
RB- Bellerin obviously wants out, and Cedric is not good enough. I'm hoping something happens in the next 24hrs.
Target man- teams have realised that if they force us into wide positions there is absolutely no threat. We should have pushed for Abraham here.
GK- happy with Ramsdale. I think he'll become No.1 over the course of the season.
I still don't get the Ben White transfer. He could end being great for us but did we need him and could £50m have been spent better elsewhere?

Disappointed in the window - we’ve invested a lot of money and not really improved the starting 11
Concerned about White getting bullied, Goslie not being good playing from the back and not impressed with us not addressing RB, creativity and goal threat. Biggest concern is leadership on the pitch and playing at a slow pace.
It’s sad thinking about it.
I’d be happy with White in a back 3 with Saliba and Holding.
I think if we can get the ball forward faster - pea will score goals especially if he has the freedom to drift from centre to inside left but never on left as he’s a useless winger
I’d be happy if we signed a CM and a RB as we really need those spots.
Here’s a suggestion - 3 at back with AMN and Tierney as Wingbacks.
Partey plus 1 in CM
Pepe PEA Saka
Against weaker teams I’d play ESR or Ode with Partey and stronger teams I’d play Partey and a beast
I’m only suggesting 3 at the back because I’m concerned about White which is crazy as we would then be reducing our attacking players to add 1 at the back because of a signing we didn’t really need especially with Saliba staring on loan.

We really need another rb and cf. I doubt we will get either to be honest. Another cm would be a bonus.
Don't get the whole did we need Ben white to be honest. Only time will tell if we over spent but as for the other cbs we have aside from gabriel they are all useless.

We probably did need a new CB, D16 but I think in a future window. I would have prefered £50m spent on an experienced CM.

Of course Ed apart from saliba. I. Find it odd as he is young fair enough if he isn't ready then loan him out. But to think he can't be ready with some of the crap we have is laughable.

Apparently Spurs have an agreement with Barcelona for Emerson Royal. Probably the player would should have got as RB. What a joke.

I guess we really don't know what it seems so bad for us. Is it majorly a lack of European football that affects the players we can bring, is it the players we have bought so underwhelming or just the way we conduct business in seeking to buy players? I can see we were determined to spend big money on two players and got the deals done eventually but was that because of lack of competition for those players?
The Ben White deal may later prove to be a good one, but in this moment it is not because of his lack of experience in the EPL. I can see us buying another defender in about 2 seasons from from, especially if Saliba doesn't return unless someone breaks through from the youth team. Holding is capable but just doesn't have the finest and Mari I can't believe is that bad for is experience. Is he lacking confidence or what?
Ramsdale purchase is similar not a good one in this moment unless Leno leaves this window, which is clearly not happening. Even if he becomes number 1 this season it's too much money concentrated in the squad.
Sorry Ed14 it just never looked realistic for Bissouma happening with Partey a mainstay in the team and Sambi Lokonga coming in. I think that would have been three players with basically the same profile. Torriera is different and should have stayed for the difficult games to break up games with less chance of being carded.
Honestly, I worry for us having ESR and Odegaard as our creative mid. They are not top four and doesn't even feel like top 6 in the present moment when we want break back into that group.
The frightening thing is I even worry more about our strikers. We couldn't score goals in pre-season and expect to score goals in the league. It's such a sticky situation because we see PEA as a better goalscorer that Laca and he may score. However, the team score more goals with Laca. How do you bench your captain, apparently best striker and highest earner and make it work?

My biggest concern is Saliba. Ed has repeatedly said he has no future with us.
As for the window, I see the club lowering the wage bill, investing in the future. I am pleased with some signings, verdict's yet to come on a few more. There is a direction, but it is difficult to stomach.
