apparently arsenal making 16.6 bid for m'vila. I don't see the sense seeing as our 21 bid was rejected.

There was an article on a few days ago about Hazard, quoting his agent, who also apparently happens to be M'Vila's agent. In any event, he quoted a 20M price tag as likely sufficient. Who knows as to the truth of the statement.

Where did you get this information?
Wenger said in news conference that no permanent deals coming in,unless a permanent deal goes out.hope you are right though.
Agree0
Disagree0
Wenger may well be speaking the truth...
however, as we should know by now I think you have to take wenger at face value when it comes to the majority of his tranfer dealings- he is far from being an open book when it comes to transfers-we have to wait and see.

How do you know that a 21 million bid was rejected? Did Arsene Wenger say it? Was it on the club website? NOOO! it was reported on the back of the daily star.
89'gooner {Ed002's Note - Inter, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, Genoa and perhaps Liverpool & Chelsea showed an interest or enquired about M'Vila this past summer. M'Vila will almost certainly not move until the summer. A very significant bid from Manchester City has already been turned down. With that offer that was made for M'Vila in the summer Rennes have upped their valuation of the player to an extent where Creachcadec has said no Italian team can aford M'Vila. I would expect that there may be interest in him from PSG, Barcelona and possibly Real Madrid by the time he comes up for sale in the summer. I would be astonished if M'Vila moved in January, but his agent is telling clubs that there is a clause in his contract that can invoke a release for a single 20M euro payment to Rennes and then he is looking to negotiate a signing on fee as well.}

Frimpong off to Wolves on loan according to BBC. very good move in my opinion. he will benefit greatly from 1st team experience as Coquelin can benefit from being sole understudy to Song.

Very true mate, he will benefit a lot, i mean look at wilshere when he went to bolton.
Agree0

Ahh I was sort of hoping he was going to see more 1st team action, but i'm sure the boss knows what he is doing. Coquelin I rate pretty highly too maybe his attitude was just better.
Good luck to Frimps sure he will come back calmer and more useful as a player

Heard a lot of rumours that were looking into the possibility of Signing Alexandre pato for a fee of aorund £23 million, as he is playing in the reserves for milan atm. i know it is hard to believe because arsene wenger hardly spends money, What do you guys think ?
Believable13

Firstly the italians dont have a reserve league, second pato is dating one of the milan owners daughters, third hes on aroung 200000euro a week and finally milans asking price starts at around 50meuro

I would like to know where you get your info from buddy coz Pato is on 4m a year contract which is 77,000 a week.
He will leave Milan soon as he is unhappy so why can't we afford him?

Arsene will sign players in the summer which i agree with.there will be alot of comings and goings. arshavin, chamkh,Bendtner, vela ,Diaby, denilson Rosicky,Squillaci, Alumania, Mannone. All these players will go and raise funds. In will come Gourcuff, Hazard or Vargas,Podolski Marvin Martin.plus experinenced keeper as back up.

"... arshavin, chamkh,Bendtner, vela ,Diaby, denilson Rosicky,Squillaci, Alumania, Mannone. All these players will go and raise funds."
Almunia, Arshavin, Mannone, Rosicky are all out of contract. No funds.
Chamakh, Denilson, Squillaci out of form. Peanuts!
Vela, Bendtner out of favour. Small amounts!
Diaby injury prone. No value!
All that we would potentially raise would be £15 or so million after tax, and save on the wages bill.
Arshavin, Rosicky, Almunia, Mannone all leave. Denilson, Vela, out on loan again. Bendtner we could get £5m if O'Neil wants him at Sunderland and he is satisfied being the worlds best in the north-east!
Squillaci, Diaby and Chamakh here to stay.
Expect a keeper on a free if the extension offer Fabianski has on the table isn't signed.
One midfield playmaker plus Yossi on a 2 year deal!
One striker if we are lucky! He'd didn't buy Park without a reason! We have Campbell on loan, Walcott still has another year and should sign again. Vela signed until 2015. We have Afobe and Aneke coming through the ranks!
So unless Theo and Robin don't renew don't expect anyone upfront!
You can expect more youngsters and half of them will go on loan to pay their wages and be sold without playing a game. AKA Botelho, Wellington, Gallindo!

Much as I don't think we need him and I don't want him, I'm hearing Cahill to Chelsea has collapsed and AW will be making the same offer or a little less plus the Pong on loan!
Mong Out!

To be honest at least we would be getting the one over on Spuds and Chelsea even if he is in no way what we need right now..

We will not be getting Cahill person Out. We do not need, nor desire a CB at this point in time... Koscielney has proven his worth time and again this season; TV5 is on a roll and PM4/Djourou aren't being replaced.
Besides... Cahill has been DIABOLICAL for BWFC this season.

Could actually be wrong. Frimpong's tweeted in the last hour "Long day here....Fresh start keep you updated:)"
Maybe Mongooo Out is right.
Agree0

Maybe you should get your hearing checked mong? Chelsea have little leverage; they will compromise on Cahill wage's demands in his favor eventually. And if Chelsea dot want to match how wages why the hell would we?!
Agree0
Disagree0
Frimpong could be referring to anything. the 'fresh start' may indicate him moving on loan elsewhere. on Cahill himself, i agree with Miss Arsenal. on current form, Cahill would be our 4th choice CB. He has had a way worse season than Mertesacker.
Mertesacker may have made errors, but he has started almost every game of a fantastic PL defensive run over the last 2 months. He gets no credit when he plays well because he does the job so efficiently. The Norwich and Villa mistakes were very bad, but he does well most games.
This is unlike Cahill, who is sometimes very impressive but can often be terrible. Of course the entire Bolton defensive unit are shocking, but Cahill's performances have largely been poor. He would not neccessarily come into a better defence and start giving great performances.
If it were to replace Djourou I wouldnt mind Cahill, but i think we could still do better. And of couse AW is not selling Djourou this Jan anyway.

Agree that signing cahill seems daft given quality and form of our 3 main centre backs, plus djourou and miquel ready to come in. However his addition would 'free' up kos and verm to play at rb and lb respectively where they have both done well this season, maybe this is better cover than looking for new fullbacks!
Agree0
Disagree0
Sorry guys, i'd have Cahill over Mertesaker any day. Mertesaker isn't a bad player but the reasons why he was supposed to be good are the very things he isn't really doing!
Defending his post on corners, he doesn't do it at all! Cahill for his faults never get's caught off his post.
Covering his LB, well before we started distracting him with transfer talk he was solid here and in a decent back 4 he would do a job. There is a reason Chelsea want him above Alex and Luiz!
Mertesaker for me should be the backup, either to Koscielny or Cahill should he arrive.
That said I am still dubious he will go to either club...
Henry signing will be good though, as impact subs go he can't be bad and if he gets fit again who knows could be awesome alongside RvP for 60mins to close out games and give the man more space

Henry is still a predator! I didnt need that video to convince me either. I agree with many that we should be bringing in a permanent striker but signing Henry is FAR from being a negative bit of business. I only wish it could have been until the end of the season.

Henry is done.
Podolski will not happen. Wenger is happy to use Henry for now and purchase a striker in the summer. More players will be available and wenger can aim for his top targets:
Sow
Doumbia
Girioud
Etc...
Wenger is looking to keep the squad as stable as possible this season and will continue to clear out in the summer. Players definitely leaving:
Almunia
Squillaci
Chamakh
Players at risk:
Rosicky
Arshavin
Yossi
Agree0

Benayoun's not at risk actually. He'll sign permanently.

Unless benayoun is gonna join for 1million or less, he wont sign permanently. 30+ and starting every game on the bench, no chance.

Logic suggests you can't have both Rosicky and Benayoun at risk... If Rosicky stays Benni won't. But Rosicky's going Wolfsburg and Benayoun's getting a 1yr contract.
