Fee agreed for Turan, £19mil but could rise to £24.

Bailey

Believable16 Unbelievable38

I'd take him for 24 quid!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger to pay 19million for turan is hilarious

Agree1 Disagree0

He is very good and has a buyout clause at about that. If we are moving Theo inside and giving up on Gervinho then would be a great buy.

Hackney Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

This is one for the summer. Don't see him moving in Jan. Athletico madrid are looking to finish above Real after a LONG time.

Wilfred Zaha a done deal, Walcott will sign a new long term deal as the highest paid player at the club in the near future
AYoungGunner

Believable58 Unbelievable49

The phrase 'done deal' should be banned from here.....

Agree2 Disagree0

Watch, by the end of jan zaha will be confirmed as an arsenal player, then you will look like an person
AYoungGunner

Agree0 Disagree0

No way should walcott be highest payed player joint highest with a few maybe but not highest.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why do we have to wait until the end of January if it is already a 'done deal'?

Agree0 Disagree0

Tom soares sparked these rumours.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, your reply to the first post was for the person who expressed cynicism at Zaha being a done deal to wait until the end of January, which is ridiculous as one of the other replies says, as if it's a done deal, he'll join when the transfer window opens. But you feel so strongly he is joining at the end of January, you said he'll look like "an person". For a start, we all look like people, and it's a person. It's still the worst insult I've ever seen.

To conclude, Zaha is nowhere near signing a deal with us, Theo may or my not sign a new contract and he definitely won't be the highest paid player on our books.

You have nothing whatsoever to back up what you are saying. Nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

By the middle of January Theo Walcott will sign a 5 year contract for Arsenal will £85, 000 in wages.Wenger and him believe Arsenal is the right place for him and wenger has promised him he will up forward regularly.

GOONER1

Believable45 Unbelievable20

Bull!

I do not for the life me understand why people, that supposedly support the same club come to sites such as this to deceive fellow supporters by getting their hopes up with lies.

What has to be gained from this?

No-one other than Theo, his agent and Arsenal know the ins and outs of this contract negotiation!

StEvE

Agree1 Disagree0

StEvE..Its a rumour site what do you think was gonna happen? Its like going onto a porn Website and start complaining about all the naked women on it...it kinda goes with the territory son.

Agree3 Disagree0

By virtue of the website being for rumours does not mean people should come here to lie. Which this clearly is. See, dunno if you know or not but a rumour and a lie are entirely different things.

It's like Malaga Gooner. Everything he says regarding transfers is utter dung and anyone with half a brain cell knows it. I could just make some gash about us being in negotiations for Ozil. Does not make it a rumour. It's a lie.

My point is why do people feel the need to lie? Because they don't have a rumour? Because they enjoy deceiving people? I just don't get it.

StEvE

Agree2 Disagree2

Totally agree with you Steve ....the distinction seems fuzzy to some and hinders this site sometimes...that's why ibtend to only listen to the eds and one or two others

Agree1 Disagree0

Lets be Frank here. Do we really believe that anyone who 'really' knows anything would be here! It is a site for conjecture, wrapped up in fantasy. Lie, is a strong word. It's a bit of fun. Everything on here should be taken as guesswork which builds on what has been leaked into the public domain by clubs, agents and players. It's transfer banter, nothing more. Get a life!

looks like ba may be off to chelsea
a website 1 right now on everton v chelsea have just said his representatives will meet with chelsea to discuss a deal
we all know they will offer him way more than us

a real shame he would be a beast for us

Believable31 Unbelievable16

Would rather have walcott up front than ba

Agree3 Disagree0

30 Dec 2012 18:29:41
Ba has an appalling injury record, having failed 2 transfer medicals to my knowledge, coupled with a reputation of being a terrible influence in the dressing-room.
Arsenal's gain, Chelsea's problem if they play their cards right.

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont need Ba...
we are Spaaaarta!

i mean sour grapes

Ash

Agree0 Disagree0

Bad move by Ba only filling until Falco is signed in the summer by Chelski.

He will be another Moses

Agree0 Disagree0

Moses is playing well for chelsea at the moment....Another player Arsenal fans dismissed as not good enough.

What i am hoping for in Jan.

Theo signs up

Zaha
Arda Turan
Baines
Wanyama
Villa

Wanyama is unlikely at this time of season, he still has CL games to play for Celtic. Possible for summer though. Zaha would be a good addition & a typical AW signing. If Villa is truly available then i believe Arsene would make an offer as we need another option up front (even with Theo). Arda Turan is the kind of Nasri type player we have been missing & think we could be getting him this window. Baines is an interesting one. If we could tempt him I think he'd come, but i think Gibbs will remain as first choice, so doubt we will get him.

Believable25 Unbelievable53

Gibbs to remain 1st choice if we sign Leighton banes? your off your rocker mate. Banes is twice the player gibbs will ever be.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see Luke Shaw coming ahead of Baines

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish you lot would stop talking about signing wanyama. he plays for a pub team who are the second biggest in scotland.a third division team gets more support than them.he plays a couple of good games and hes good enough for the gooners .I dont think so you should keep watching cricket.

Agree0 Disagree0

What the hell are you smokeing he plays for a pub team 1 of the biggest and best suppoorted clubs in the world a champions league winning club somthing arsenal havnt did yet and for a comment of the upmost stupidity must be from a servco fan

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason they get a bigger support its about 100 quid a season book

Agree0 Disagree0

Wanyama plays for a pub team? How disrespectful - the boy is going to be the next big thing, guaranteed. The Epl has taken alot of players from "pub teams", larsson, van bronkhorst, dorrans, snodgrass, Krul (falkirk), Ruddy(Motherwell), both loan, mark viduka, mcarthy mcarthur stan petrov get my point. The arrogance is beggers belief, however, to the less arrogant you wouldnt be bad with Big Vic :)

i have been told there is considerable interest in ISCO from malaga...

malaga gooner {Ed002's Note - matter. Chelsea had someone watch Isco in a recent game against Granada I suspect AC Milan might look to the player as well. There were rumours of interest from Real Madrid, Manchester United and Arsenal. Malaga wanted 21M euros and are now negotiating an increase in his release clause to 42M euros using a pay rise to tempt the player to agree. If they are forced to sell - and they don't want to, I would suspect Juventus and Manchester City are best placed right now. A move in January is by no means certain as Malaga are looking to have Isco sign a new long-term contract which would also address the release clause and pay rise which are currently being discussed.}

It is great that Theo is finally living up to his potential, maybe we have solved a problem by accident playing him up front. A few more games & goals should hopefully confirm this idea. I believe Theo wants to stay & it is clear we want him to, especially now. He is in a win win situation, either get the contract he is pushing for, or not, & then get the contract he wants or better at another club. I for one really hope he stays. A fute of Theo & Ox playing together is a great thought! I am hoping we are still interested in Zaha, having him compete with Ox for that winger role would be quality.

Believable26 Unbelievable7

We have plan B then. Theo against team like reading, wigan, newcastle. Giroud against stoke, sunderland and co.

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't think there was any accident, that Wenger has played Theo up front now, Henry was moved into the strikers role from the wing at about the same age(23 yrs).Theo has the speed and skill to become a very dangerous striker, and with Henry at the training ground for the next few weeks, he has a chance to learn from the master. My only fear is that this could be another striker who has one great season, and then decides that "the club hasn't got the same ambitions".I do hope that he stays, as he did show some quality on saturday evening.

lads i hate to burst your bubble but when theo did his little lap of honour at the end of the game he was saying good bye to the supporters!!mostly away games coming up now....
we are not prepared to pay him more than players like jack, tommy, arteta, cazorla and podolski...

he has been offered 80k a week +bonuses...
i am told the big 3 are all after him + a couple of clubs in europe...

Believable34 Unbelievable45

30 Dec 2012 12:39:02
Your not bursting our bubble...because whatever u say the opposite happens. And people who actually go to the games say Theo does the lap after each home win. And if he does go, it will be in the Summer, so why would he say goodbye now? if he was goingin January (and it was known already) Wenger wouldnt be playing him.

Pretty sure Jack is on sub 80k btw.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's annoying because he is better than players like arteta (etc)

Agree1 Disagree1

Please try and limit your nonsense to incoming transfers only

Agree2 Disagree0

I think he will stay he wants to be a striker where else can u play up front think about it man u no chelsea no even DS leaving chelsea man city no wt happen to scott sinclair lol dat leaves liverpool cant see him there they have lost plot big time

Agree1 Disagree0

Oooh hold on, is there a time machine here? Did'nt you say that Theo was leaving last year?

Is Goetze coming still? Hazard? I think even TV5 was leaving at one point..............

Theo will be much better off with us and hopefully he will see this,

Looserpool: Step backwards

Chelski: Will be behind Torres and rumoured Falcou, and has no chance of even getting on the wing

Man Utd: No chance as a striker

Citeh: They have 4 world class strikers already

We need to offer him the right money and he'll stay

Agree1 Disagree0

Thank god Malaga has said Theo is leaving, that means he won't

Agree2 Disagree0

All the trash talk aside - it wouldn't be the first time an extended end of match celebration was actually a goodbye.

Henry, cesc... It has happened before..

Billybob

Agree0 Disagree0

Theo's performance yesterday just doubled the difficulty for a contract agreement. His agents will now be telling him he can earn even more because of the increased interest it will generate from other clubs.
In order for him to stay, you really needed him to have an off day and be subbed after 60 minutes!

Agree0 Disagree1

Mostly away games coming up? 4 home games in the next 6 suggests otherwise...

Agree0 Disagree0

City home, Chelsea away then 3 home games in a row, did you check the schedule malaga?

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga really is a spud fan

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you bother? As previously mentioned the majority of our next few games are home games, also it is not unusual for players at the last home game of the year to take time to walk around the pitch to say 'thank you' for their support.

Good source has confirmed to me Chelski are planning a bid for Walcott ranging from a fee of £12-16 million. Walcott is interested in the move as he feels it will enhance his career unfortunately as he thinks Chelski will always use him as a centre forward and feels his current stint as a striker is a short term "sweetener" to pressure him into a new deal and be will back as a winger once he has signed a contract. If he is blocked from this move (should he like the offer and the club like the fee) he is likely to agree a pre-contract and move in the summer. Let this be a lesson to the dinosaurs who let his contract run down. Can't blame him if he wants to leave, deserves a better wage and more chance of trophies at Chelski unfortunately. Ironically if he moved to Chelsea early in the window he could make a debut against us!
Make of this what you will. My friend is usually quite good with transfers so I trust his imput quite well. Lets hope for M'Vila in to soften the blow eh?

They have been trying to get him to extend his contract for 18 months.

Sneijder is available for around 11mil good player think we should go for him he's experienced and a winner but probably will go to united or city can't see him going to spurs or pool

Believable26 Unbelievable12

Good player yes but he has been injured a lot in recent times and has barely played also huge wage demands enough to put united off close to 200k a week. We just signed Cazorla as well and have Eisfeld and Jack coming through doesn't make sense. Wouldn't be unhappy if we did sign him though just don't see it happening.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance.

Chelsea have out together a bid of 14 million for Walcott,
It is my understanding the wage will be around the £130, 000

Look out for a bid for Inter milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder £13million and Yann M'Villa for £15million

2 class players who Arsenal have been screaming out for years now

Believable30 Unbelievable37

I wish.

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks. Wesley is way too big am ego, where would cazorla go?

Also is m'vila worth the gamble?

Agree0 Disagree0

M'vila 5-7mil at most.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought m villa was a knocked down price 7 mill

Agree0 Disagree0

Please try to get details right if your going to completly fabricate something, otherwise it just apears un-legitimate

Agree0 Disagree0

Sneijder would mean dropping either Cazorla, playing him from deep dropping Arteta who has been fantastic in that role this year. Sneijder is a walking ego trip and I for one would not want to pay his wages in place of what we have. If we want someone in that position, we need a destroyer like M'Villa (not for 15m) or Wanyama.
