If Podolski moves at all I will be surprised. If he joins Arsenal I will eat my hat, and my hat will eat itself because it's pretty darn unlikely.

I'm sure we can do far better than that, I know Arsenal stock is currently lower than usual but it's not that low!

The Ox had played 35+ games for Southampton before he was signed.

He may not have had any PL experience but he was playing regular.

When we signed Ox I was indifferent. He had played a season of professional football and was a sought after player. His quality was there to see.
Eisfeld in contrast hasn™t made an impact yet in the German league and has had a year out the game due to an injury.

Ed some of these arsenal fans can't get over the hazard situation. You have explained the situation so many times but it isn't sinking in. Nor do we have the money to fund the transfer nor be able to compete with other clubs for his wages. Im starting to think we have kids on here who refusing to think realistically nor are accepting it. Lille have held talks with chelsea about this transfer,just like they took mata...they will take hazard. Only we can attract players is by winning which dnt happen these days. Nevermind last time we won anything. Will we even gt champions leagur football is another topic.

I think one of these "kids" is more likely to be you.... research your stuff before you quote arsenal finances....

That may be true...and I think some perspective is needed by all but let's all just calm down over Hazard, accept that whoever he ends up with will not be finalised/decided until the close of the season...anything else is just speculation by all..Unless you know something (or sat during the meetings) about chelsea/hazard combination...i am inclined to take it all with a pinch of salt :)

Ok mate, he won't join now of course, but summer is a possibility, a large one at that.
Lets take a look at the criteria Hazard set himself.
In England: Are we in England? Check
Good football: Check (rules out Utd, Liverpool)
Wants to start every game: Check (rules out City, an potentially Mata)
So we're left with 3 possibilities: Us, Tottenham, and Chelsea.
I doubt Tottenham will sign him, and unless Chelsea put in a Russian Mafia offer (which unfortunately does look like a possibility) we do have a good chance for him.

We can easily offer £25m and a player. Regarding wages, he has tiny ones at Lille and anything we offer is a step up. However, everyone knows Chelsea can offer more, but, coincidently, the man Chelsea stole from us, Juan Mata, plays both LW and CAM, both Hazard's positions. Still think so?

ToBeHonest...to me it looks like a chelsea signing...as much as I would like to believe otherwise...They are always going to be able to outdo us trasnfer +wages-wise ...

Thomas Eisfeld, German 19 year old attacking midfielder from Borussia Dortmund will join Arsenal and is in London today for a medical. Souce: "SanBorussia" on Twitter (yes I know, but it looks pretty reliable though).

He scored 6 goals in 12 games for the U-19 team this season. That's all I know.

hazard is not and never was happening this window..the only deal that may happen is for Hugo Rodallega its 50/50 if we will get him or not as he is being offered a longer contract and higher wages by qpr,that is the only deal that is a goer at the mo that im aware of..arsenal may swetten the deal with miyaichi on loan as he will have to be loaned out to make room for rodallega..i can see this goin down to the wire 2morrow..i for one would be happy enough with rodallega as he would be a decent squad player and at 4 ish mill is not gonna break the bank..

Rodellega would definitely be better than any of our backup strikers - which I must say are thin on the ground anyway at the moment!

Yeah i'd be happy with that at 4M if QPR miss out. Still holding out for Goetze at some point though that would be my first choice transfer.

North Korean World Cup striker Jong Tae-Se, is to leave Bochum and sign for Cologne to replace the injured Lukas Podolski.

Or the Arsenal bound Lukas Padolski, who knows??

Where did that come from? I still say Podolski isn't moving. He will be dropped if he moves outside of Germany, and whilst his club value him at £22M other clubs have not valued him about £10M.

Hi Mate, as above Cologne have signed this Korean guy as a replacement for the INJURED PADOLSKI, it was on Eurosport earlier today

The korean guy is the known as the North Korean rooney and already plays in germany (used to play in Japan before), he has never lived in North Korea so is exempt from their draconian laws.

firstly mariappa has been class for the last couple of seasons, one the championships best defenders, proved against the spuds he can deliver in big games.
