i honestly think people are way too harsh on him, he's quality in my opinion. fantastic physical attributes, young. prem proven and can score 20+ goals in a team of our creative quality for sure given what he does in the villa team. he's more aggressive than giroud and is just as good in the air yet is far better on the ball and has more pace. Yes he can be wasteful at times (good like finding a striker that isnt) and has the propensity to be lazy from time to time but i think he would make a fantastic addition to our team and a front three of sanchez benteke and walcott would have everything imo. I think benteke is going to start being to me what austin is to dags, the man i want to see at out club that no one else does

I struggle to understand why people write off the likes of Austin and benteke. It's almost as if people just need a foreign player for some reason. Both of them have hit plenty of goals in the EPL. Villa want daft money for benteke so I see why it puts clubs off. But what would Austin cost. We have had the likes of bentner and bloody sanogo for Christ sakes why are we been so prissy? If we can't get Benzema or lacazette why not give Austin a blast surely better than naught?!?

Benteke better on the ball than Giroud? really? I don't think you have seen much of Giroud if you think that. For a big guy he has a really silky touch and his weight of pass is usually spot on. I agree with the comment about Benteke being a Europa league standard striker.
